All of the area has historically been incorrectly referred to as both israel and Palestine at different points in time, but actually both were only subregions and provinces of Canaan, which extended to Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. Calling the entire land anything other than Canaan is historically, religiously and genetically wrong, but as the kingdom of israel has fallen and according to the old testament it cannot be reestablished again until the Messiah arrives, the name Palestine is by ALL measures more correct
