Genetics my friend. You are one of the fortunate ones that can work that much (very physical) and not be sore till 3pm the next day. Remember I told you I can't work more than 4 or 5 hours of this kind of work per day. You said I was maybe "too young". Funny. But everyone is impressed. Or your identical twin works w you.
Started at sunup here got two cords done and then I was out of rounds So done chores and then decided to have a coffee as it was only 18 degrees when I started. I have an old spliter the reminds me of you old one....lol your new machine is really fast....just to old to get one now.
Good Morning Sir!! Lawn service has started here. So I'll go cut then come back and split, will stack Saturday. Saw how your work flow goes so Im trying it this time.
When I pick up the last one. I alway announce. This is the piece I have been looking for all day LAST ONE It's cold here in Georgia this week mid 50's day time low 30's at night .
You know, the Eastonmade Ultra would be ideal for me if it had a log lift. I can't see paying another 3k just for it though. You, on the other-hand, are a work horse! Be glad you back is still able to pick up those big'ins. Nite operations.. That's dedication.
@@InTheWoodyard we love watching your show. We live on a small farm here in Vermont and love watching your dad...reminds me of my own grandpa💕💕💕. You could interview him everyday.
If you watch a bunch of my 1200 videos on the channel with the wood I get you will see that about 40-50 full cords a year comes from tree service stuff, big nasty knotty junk so ya it does fine. The other 150ish cords comes from loggers but a bunch of that is nasty crap too!
Hello Chris, I have a question I was hoping you could help me out with. So last year I stacked all my wood to dry just like you do but I was wondering if I put some pallets on the ground and just threw all the wood on top of it in a big pile, would it dry that way ?
@@InTheWoodyard yes that’s exactly what I was thinking around that height because not only the bottom pieces wouldn’t get air I wouldn’t want to be throwing it really high up there by hand. Thank you for your help I appreciate it
My Fleet Farm Lumberjack 27 glacier splitter and I manage to do about 1/2 of a full cord an hour with break time included. At that rate, I'm splitting kindling like your brother says you split.
@@InTheWoodyard, can do this for maybe 4hrs and then am pretty much done for the day. Less wood split if I refill the roadside stand as I go. Right now I split into the truck and then use it as a wheelbarrow to take it over to the roadside stand to refill.
I make and sell about 200 full cords of firewood each year for people to burn in their fireplaces and for restaurants to cook and smoke with . They do not want big pieces like people who heat with wood so it is split smaller.
Hello Russ, I will do a video or two on stacking it for sure! I do have some older videos on my channel with some stacking footage if you want to watch them!
Greetings from Clinton, Arkansas! I was wondering if you have changed the hydraulic and motor oils for the second time yet and also what are their types/weights? By the way, you are a 'splittin machine'!
Great video. May I ask do you film at 2.7k/60 with a gopro? That's what I was using but had to send my go pro in because it kept saying formatting error
Greetings from S. E. Ohio!!! Don't know if u will get this comment beening month old post but what was the music u were playing??? Andrew played it on some of his posts. I love bluegrass music & love ur channel
A word of advise, there is always tomorrow to finish splitting or cutting. I’m sixty years old and have had rotator/bicep surgery on both shoulders. You are doing a tremendous amount of physical work. It may be time to get a splitter that does the lifting for you. Enjoy your channel.
Sometimes when the job is done a person is dead beat, and then you're looking at another hour, covering up splitter, and dry wood, driving home , supper and bed time, it must have 11.00, and sit down the computer. You are pushing your pretty hard.
My man is out there in the dark with the snow falling and a headlamp on.
Respect.
It was fun!
🤘I know it’s an old video. But I’ve been rewatching all the Ultra videos. I finally ordered one TODAY!🤘🤘🤘
That’s awesome! It’s a great machine and they are worth every penny!
Hey Chris, I’m 17, I have a small channel and just bought my first gas saw, a Husqvarna 272. thank you for inspiring me to work hard and get cutting!
Well I support your channel as number 32. Greetings from The Netherlands.
That is awesome! Good for you!
i know Im pretty randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to stream newly released movies online?
@Devon Ty Try flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Eugene Quentin definitely, I have been watching on flixzone for months myself =)
Gezzzzz Chris that is a lot of splitting......well done..👍
Yup, gotta get it done!

Job well done!! Yes winter is pretty stubborn this year!! Better weather is on its way!! Stay safe!!
It sure is!
I admire your work ethic. Absolute Unit!
For sure.
Much appreciated!
Nice to see a big pile all split. Now you have to get it stacked.
You got that right!

You are not too old, time is running out , get a faster splitter!
Another productive day. Thanks Chris👍
You bet!
Great Job Chris

my favorite thing to do...watch people work!
Well, then you are at the right place!
You my friend, have many days of stacking firewood ahead of you!💪
I hope so! I have lots of wood to sell!
A job well done yet again, I don't know how you handle two jobs at a time God bless
Thanks 👍
Its a good feelin when the job is done.... guves you a sense of accomplishment!
Yes John, that is why firewood is so addictive!

Its nice to complete a pita job! I wanted to split and cut today but looks like a shop day.
It sure is!
It's always nice not to leave that last little bit for the next day! That's a beautiful pile of oak.

Your wood addiction is serious. The first step is admitting it. The log truck is your gateway
Ha! Yes I have a problem!
A fast machine makes it all possible!
Yup!
Good job! Nice wood! Cool weather! Great to be outside! A Great day in Life! Take Care! Beaver Trapper! 🪵👍🏼🇱🇷

Yup, sometimes music, podcasts or talk radio.
I like watching your deliveries ! The conversation with the customers! Are you planning to attend the Firewood Frenzy in Eau Claire, Wi. June 26th ?
Yes I am!

Hi, what log spliter do you have please?
Also what is the cheapest fastest one please?
Great videos
It was in the video...You might want to watch it and about 200 others on my channel featuring it. Eastonmade Ultra...it was in the title too.
@@InTheWoodyard that's great thank you,
What's a good kenetic one for my money?
"That's a big pile" That is an understatement but Chris turns big piles into smaller stacks and then into dead presidents.
Yup it is just a conversion process!
Great video. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
How does the ultra do with knots and ugly hardwood stuff? Do you split any tree service logs or only logs from a logger?

Yes, absolutely but just do not go so high that the wood on the bottom gets no air. Maybe 8' high or so.

I have a question I’ve been meaning to ask you do you take Tylenol or Aleve did you must get muscle aches from all the hard work you do
Neither, just an occasional toddy at night!
Man Chris. I don't like dealing with firewood in the dark.. But now that this is done. You can go start on the maple..
Yes I can and I will!

Hello there!
You should buy a rocket light for those days when you need to work through the dark
I have a bunch of other lights to use when I plan on working late!
Did u buy your ultra or did Andrew donate one to your channel
$4700, but I am open to free tools!

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do!
Well no one can say you don't have wood lol
Yes I do!
Dude you keep killing wood like watching a horror channel. I know what you split last summer 😂👍HA! PS: What type of pain killers do you use I need it🙃
HA! Just a toddy at night once in a while!
Now if you could wood hound some free logs you could double your money.
