So where are the videos of the ghost platforms at Town Hall Station? Go down to platform 5 - 6 and look up the escalator to the top, look at the distance, there is a Ghost platform in between. I was working with a company assisting with some upgrading and one of the rail dudes said one day, "come with me" and wow, a complete set of platforms like new, never used? I walked from one end to the other, quite spooky. (and very dusty) I see nothing anywhere about Town Halls Ghost platforms?

There are hundreds of humanoid creatures that can run in the speed of light and can pass through walls. My grandfather told me not to come In because he ever saw them. Please don’t ever try to enter the tunnel! You will be teared apart alive. Don’t come in. I am not joking. God blessed.
Nice find. Are you aware of the unused tunnel at northern end of North Sydney Station. Follow tracks on west side towards Hornsby about 100-200m on the left is the extra unused tunnel. Now this was back in the 70's when I explored. Good Luck.
What was the purpose they were intended for? How could they go to Manly and northern beaches, were they going to widen the bridge to add more tracks? Seems like there would be no point, if they were going to extend the network to northern beaches they would not need extra platforms just use the existing setup and add a branch line at North Sydney or thereabouts
The unfinished tunnels should be converted into light rail platforms. With Central station having a ungraded currently anyway for the metro line & extra future capacity while would save additional money.
He got permission from station staff. I’m pretty sure that they have a tour that occurs every once in a while. You’d be able to find it at www.thnsw.com.au/whats-on when it is on.

Why can't the NSW State Government build a metro from Central to the Northern Beaches via St James and Circular Quay considering the tunnels are already in place? Traffic is a nightmare in the area and is desperate need for efficient public transport.
on the Central to Redfern next to tracks leading to platform 9&10 you can see that there are enough room for another pair of tracks going to Central. There is 2 extra holes under bridges, up ramp going towards the flying junction etc. However this never eventuated. The T8 also took down some old track that was part of the track work from Illawarra main.

What about the St James Station platforms? And the rumour about it was going to be used for a hideout for the WW2 pacific commander. They have flooded it. And they cannot tell you if it is true or not even to this day it's WW2 secret. Saw a bit about it once fairly recently on tv. They have shown some of Sydney's tank stream fresh water supply used for first fleet etc as they have tours I think once a year as it is underground in actual Sydney itself. To gain access to places like this, all you really need to do is get yourself a hard-hat and one of those hi-vis safety vests that truckers or job-site workers wear, carry a flashlight, and some sort of impressive but fake ID badge or pass that you can flash to any officials who might confront you. Also carry a clipboard and take notes while acting as if you belong there. You might even carry a hand-held scanner or two-way transceiver to complete your image. Just a thought. ;-)

The first had to extend the tunnels under Menzies Hotel to the Illawarra platforms at Town Hall under George Street keeping them away from the other tunnels under York Street by gradually veering over to Wynyard if you are coming from the Town Hall station end. I'm not sure about the southern end because there is not enough tunnel portals at Goulburn Street for two extra tunnels. I don't know what the plan was there, using crossovers back to the western line underground I guess?
