- This high-protein and low-carb cookie dough recipe is soo good! It's made with such good ingredients and you can barely tell there is cottage cheese in it...trust me! Try this one and let me know what you think :)

I've made this a few times over the past year, and I was trying to figure out what it was that was putting me off about it. I think it's the almond meal/flour. I think when used in a baking recipe, almond flour is great (for me), but like this, it was not working. The nest time I make this (SOON), I will use Lakanto's Peanut butter powder (it has monkfruit, in it), as a substitute. Also, PEANUT BUTTER. It should be great. Thanks - subbed :)

That recipe uses maple syrup and your video uses powdered sugar. Which do you prefer?

@@Knottybohemian21 you could also try sunflower seed flour (1:1 replacement), banana flour (1/2-2/3 cup to every one cup or increase liquids as it’s more absorbent), or chickpea flour (same with 1/2-2/3 cup to one, also more absorbent.) There’s always wheat flour of course, a 1:1 replacement but then it’s not as much of a healthy alternative to a regular cookie dough.

Don't worry your not missing much. Imagine your chocolate chip cookie dough was tangy and didn't have half the flavor you're accustomed too. I will say it is a creative way to get protein in, and maybe it's tasty as its own entity. But this, for me, does not scratch the itch of eating cookie dough. You will know it's not cookie dough lol.
