A really interesting and poignant video of a past that has long vanished - yet the legacy of histories and buildings remain. Fascinating - thank you, Paul.
The Mexican Flag waving at 38:30. Real del Monte, Mineral del Chico and El Oro were mining towns with English Capital and workers in the XIX Century in Mexico. Great documentary!
I was fortunate enough to go down Geevor mine I was about 14 years old and then down the King Edward Training Mine when I was 19/20 - both were fascinating. It's great that such an important piece of local history lives on !
Superb production. Very professional and informative. Your attention to detail by deliberately including Ding Dong engine house in the frame whilst describing the adjacent antiquities was appreciated.
What an absolutely brilliant documentary, really well researched and edited. One small bit of trivia regarding Cornish dialect is the word "wheal" as in the names of some Cornish mines I believe is actually pronounced "hule"

Thank you so much for this! Made me homesick for Cornwall 🥰
Fascinating video with lots of well-researched information. Beautiful video!
A very informative piece, and extremely interesting. Thoroughly enjoyed that, thank you.
Great to see a 'traditionally shot' doco on UA-cam with the sort of edit pacing unknown to most American filmmakers. Beautiful pictures too. Sony FS7?
Thank you so very much! Thoroughly enjoyed that!!
My G G G G...Grandad worked at Wheal Frances, he was 10 years old!

South Crofty is in the process of reopening. I suspect others will follow.
👍👍👍
Who pinched the roofs?
Once great machines, and industry relegated to putting on creepy demonstrations like shop window automatons. Sad really.
Wonderful!
