"Since I returned to Barcelona, I also got back on my Skateboard. While seeing all these skaters in the mecca of European skateboarding, my passion for creating videos slowly came back.
In June of 2018, I met with Xushines, this Brasilian girl is a hell of skater; she is also a tattoo artist, and a wonderful human being. I immediately knew I wanted to do a project with her. So I came up with the idea of doing a hybrid video; not a skateboard video, neither a documentary, nor a music video ..but a bit of all.
So we started shooting last August, for almost 1 year, whenever we could. I asked Frederic, aka Ghost Dance, if he had any music I could use for my project, so he sent me his new mau5trap EP, and “Malware” was obviously the soundtrack I needed for this project. It brought the video to an other dimension, something dark and visceral. Which was perfectly matching with my first edit. I wanted something raw, lot of handheld footages, very few effects and a grainy black & white. The result is a raw hybrid video.. you name it." - Mr. Mitri
