Hi Royksopp! I’ve never met you but are totally amazing in 2024! Love your music very much!
Royksopp's new music has been the best part of 2022 by such a profound margin.
It is the shortest nine-minute track I've ever heard.
It’s Jarre, it’s Pink Floyd, it’s trance, it’s cosmic, it’s magic. Just WOW.
+ Giorgio Moroder, Alan Parsons Project...
Kraftwerk
Schiller
+Daft punk
Pink Floyd? I'm not hearing that at all. I do get some Vangelis 'Blade Runner end credits' influence, though.
‘A ten-minute soundscape of transcendental synth symphonies and mysterious chordal treasures, encapsulating everything we have come to love about Röyksopp.’

@@saturnslastring might be . However makes sense considering its called "Speed" king. You might not be aware of this but Röyksopp music is inspired by drugs, depression, addictions, suicide, murder, isolation, healing, reflection, spirit, sporadic thought rhythms, nature. Röyksopp name is derived from a type of mushroom. Don't get your feelings hurt was not meant as a dig. They are my favourite music anything since summer of 2003.
@@saturnslastring oh wow i had no idea. Shame on me for not listing every single thing. Keep your head up kid, one day you will get there ✊🏼
@@saturnslastring perhaps message Röyksopp about your sensitivity and problems with their impetus for methamphetamines and amphetamines in their music.
C'mon man.. If you're gonna quote Abraham Lincoln, at least give him proper credit.
That quote is from an email Abe sent General Sherman just before the burning of Atlanta.
Floating In Deep Space
I'm am OBSESSED with this track. It is amazing. It's pure ear candy! So many layers to the music, something new to discover every time you listen. It's bloody fantastic.
Je t'aime
Cant argue with that. 'I Had This Thing" adds a remarkable voice to their sound.
This tune has been my earworm since it was released. Drove all the way from Switzerland to Berlin, running with the Speed King, to watch Röyksopp (23.02.23). Love 🙏
Royksopp has transcended.
One of the best tracks I've ever heard. So many layers of sound and emotion.
Try Max Cooper
Даа, это как дорогой аромат. Он раскрывается как бутон
The entire Profound Mysteries project was glorious but III specifically might be one of the best post-2000 electronic albums, full stop.
The best Electronic music the All Time
Röyksopp is the scandinavian answer to space trip!!
If I listen to this track while driving, I become a real speed king! True vibe
Listen to Royksopp...go to Heaven.
Röyksopp is a revelation for me...amazing and captivating sounds 🥰
Gives me jean michel jarre flashbacks!
Beautiful Tune!!
I usually end up replaying this song four or five times and it's kind of scary how loud I have all of the speakers going by the fifth go-around and not even notice it!
This is the kind of track that forces you to rethink your list of all-time greatest electronic tracks. Yes, it's that good. Still waiting for the hairs on the back of my neck to lie back down.
I've never in my entire life pushed replay button so many times. Simply masterpiece. Amazing journey through mystic ocean of electro sounds that creating one of the best piece of music I've ever heard. That one's perfect. I cry.
You’re running with the speed king!
I drove north from Oslo to my mother/family in Trondheim (Norway) for Christmas holidays this season, a 6-hour drive, listening to Profound Mysteries I, II and III....until I hit this track. Then it stuck for the rest of the trip, and same thing going back, obviously another 6-hour drive. Listening to this while driving, especially in the dark, is pure joy.
Masterpiece
Conecting with universe , thank you ❤
How this changes from a gentle melody to super powerful trip of a tune at the 4-5 minute mark is ..dont think there really are words to describe it.
Psilocybin lovers, this is up there with the very best Royksopp have ever done awesome and a million other superlatives
The libertycaps gladly approves of this tune i'm sure!
@@dristmist7401 yeah my caps and I have a symbiotic love affair with all things royksopp haha
Just purchased my tickets for their london gig feb 23 have always wanted to see them wouldnt miss this for the world 💚🏴
@@Winter-gf9nt got tickets to Oslo myself :)
@@Winter-gf9nt they are very cool live, seen them a few times, always a good show.
Right? Absolutely marvelous and there's something about the vocals that first hit right there that are just pure magic. It reminds me deeply of something from my past but I can't quite put my finger on it yet.
It’s goosebumps all over… like if my soul wants to leave my body and fly up to the sky and then fall before transcending into the future… hands down Royksopp ❤
Oh. My. God.
Disney *NEEDS to hire Royksopp* to compose the music Score for the next TRON movie
Bsolutely
wow i love that idea !
No! Fu#@ disney!
Everybody should hire royksopp all the time for everything that way we get guaranteed more royksopp and bliss❤🏴
❤this group is from another dimensional realm, because they introduce the higher vibrations frequencies energy, which extraordinarily increase our own perception of the multiverse and our own consciousness awareness of who we are in our own origin!!!❤
god i love this track
I am just writing little note/poem, about a ship in the stormy ocean..that just helped me to express my feelings and thoughts in to the words. Beautiful Royksopp
I cry each time...

Hell yeah ok!
I can never choose a ' best' royksopp track but for the moment this ' Speed King ' is up there with the best I've ever heard from the band.
Starts as a gentle melody suddenly at the 3 minute mark this track just takes off and evolves into something completely different from the introduction.
Super powerful , awesome , outstanding and more true masterpiece.
Accompanies me everywhere I go it's in my head 🤩💚✌🏴

There's a bit of Jean Michel Jarre in this symphony. Which is awesome!
I can't even express how amazing they are. The music, their voices, is just a magical experience. All of their work.❤
I'll never understand people who say they don't like Electronic music. I don't think they know Röyksopp!
truth@@NostalgiCrazy
God damn this is one of their finest works yet. When it comes to deep house, I'm a huge fan of what I call the "freight train," which at its core is a song with a massive, heavy, pervasive, unstoppable backbeat that builds slowly and methodically. This is a top 5 for sure!
Great phrase @Doug - which other freight trains can you recommend?
I posted two comments with songs & links but they seem to be disappearing. Let me know if you don't see them and I'll try to repost a different way.

This is the thing about Royksopp, have never been able to say " this is ...favourite royksopp track" , just dont think its possible.
I can choose a selection of tracks but one above all?
Nope, not many bands can do that.
@@dwcscca Hey man, can you recommend pieces like this to me too?
Thank you
Am I the only one getting serious Jean Michel Jarre vibes from this?! It's like total recall back to my childhood!
Mixed with Mike Oldfield
Yes, G.Moroder too midnigth express, scarface movie intro , they've paved the way . I like those Scandinavian ,creativity Bjork opened the Doors in its own way too when there was no internet ,,good music in North Europe . 👍
My father used to play Oxygène up and down when I was a toddler. Thank you Dad!
A 10 minute song...and I really wish it was longer! I could listen to the synth in the last third of the song for hours. Just flawless. 🍻🍄
Perfekter Soundtrack um ins nächste Universum abzudriften.
Best song ever of this project...till now 😁 the third part will be EPIC! These are the Röyksopp we love!
®️🍄 FOREVER
come fai a saperlo?
@@francescocesari6567 infatti anche The Night é una bomba 🤘🤘😁
Melody AM was their opus, this is their masterpiece.
25 years of perfecting genius.
Röyksopp must have sacrificed quite a few brain cells to produce this beast
And it was totally worth it!
Not only does this recall the other two albums of this trilogy, it also has pieces of each of their previous albums all in one! a masterpiece
The key change at 5:40 combined with the classic Korg VC-10 Vocoder, bassline and tambourine beats remind me of baby blue and i feel love by Moroder.
I love this music 😍 I can hear it many times))) but no one around me))) why people don't understand this type of music 😅
Unbelievable
This is psychedelics without taking substance. You GENIUS !!
Are we really going down?
You're running with the speed king
It's impossible to break you
You caught a glimpse of his star
Are we really going down?
Are you really gonna die?
You're caught up in the sex games
I'll be running with the speed king
I saw the twinkle in your eyes
Are we really going down?

It's impossible to break you
You caught a glimpse of his star
10 minutes of awesomeness...!!!
this is a true dream becoming
Yeah..Top 10. Definitely.
The song i heard most at 2023
Royksopp and The Avalanches should collaborate
I come from tangerine dream era...but this track is out of this world...
Production excellent...
Oh yes. A thousand times.
Dam son, this is art, real electronic music. Well done Royksopp!
Reminds me somehow of one of my dear dad's favourite bands, E.L.O.
@@max_thrower I think it's the electronic vocals that kind of reminds me of elo.
Che dire.....grazie Röoyksopp

I can't stop listening.
It is an absolute masterpiece that envelops you like a blanket and takes you on a wild ride through fast-paced life!!!
Back to the roots - this is f*cking good!
But more complicated
The far end of the universe..
Purement incroyable, un voyage musical de 9mn totalement renversant.
Merci Röyksopp !
This is art wow
Someone in a parallel universe asked ELO, Vangelis & Jean Michel Jarre to write a song about a time traveling alien that rides a motorbike that travels faster than the speed of light. How did Royksopp make a nine minute song sound like it was three minutes long???? This could easily have been extended to 20 minutes long!
I was going to say that about vangelis and jean michel jarre 😂 it does sounds like that!

Wow you both are right on! I hear rémanence of many of those groups. As an ex professional Moderne Ballet dancer I used to dance to Jarre back in the day,,, Kraftwerk ,,, Vangelis,,,, ! Abba back in 70s lol. love Rammstein ! Klaus RIP off the hook! (Love him with Lisa) True fusion! True music lovers here! So 😎
Yes, musician in our times can be really happy about JMJ and other electronic music pioneers.
20 minutes long?
Great idea though since this ones 9 min long I'd love " A Higher Place " to be 20 minutes long ( yeah ik greedy me) 🙂
oh my god this is absolutely brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok guys take another 5 years off if you need to, just keeping writing this stuff!
Wow, my new Röyksopp fav song.
This visual represents exactly what lives in my head
To me this is the 21st century Pink Floyd One of These Days. EPIC!!

I have to hear it minimum one time a day.
Every song I discover is a jewel, they are geniuses
Ein Meisterwerk, das ist Raumklang!
Röyksopp being Röyksopp, at the same level or even above tracks like Alpha Male
This is sure the most beautiful song Röyksopp ever made. Well done & many thanks
I heard this playing at McFit while all treadmills and rowing machines were operated at once. It had such an otherworldy sci-fi, cyclic/progressive vibe I got hypnotized.
Seeing those 20 people simultaniously doing these sort of "pointless" movements in perfect flow and determination seemingly synchronized with the music didn't look ordinary anymore.
Great Tune!
This is one of the best things I’ve heard in ages! Sublime!
I lost you King…
I lost youu
But, I will get looking for you
Rewind & play after first listen 🤩
This song kills, then about 4 minutes in, it fillets what it slayed.
What a masterpiece! It is like travelling in time into the 80ties with sounds similar to J.M. Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze...
Wow ❤ genius🎉
Are you guys for real??? I'm flabbergasted. Can't wait to see you at timeless festival in south africa! A dream come true for me!
A very good liveset these guys :)
Royksopp found the frequency to interdimensional travel.
stunning
Influences aside… GLIDE!!!
This song is an awesome journey
Trippy as hell
Damnnnn son. Thats some power
You are amazing ❤️
Этот трек для меня, от команды Ройксопп, легальный наркотик. Можно слушать часами без остановки, и с каждым новым прослушиванием на повторе, раскрывать в себе что то новое...
