Offers Over £625,000 for Inverneill House, an impressive country house in Argyll, Scotland on the shore of Loch Fyne, close to Lochgilphead. One of a kind property, fully refurbished throughout with approx 6.5 acres of landscaped grounds including a large coach house and a walled garden with two turrets.
Agree it should have been done with historical features and past reclaimed items. I'm in the US and am currently returning my 70 year old home to it original elements. Most just had to be uncovered by removing paint and carpet. The windows are going to be the hardest due to hurricane requirements.
As an American, I find the place beautiful. Maybe the interior history has been replaced by new current features which should provide many years of less maintenance but the exterior looks incredible. The rooms appear large and the grounds are exceptional. I am stunned at the price point especially being near the lake. Where I live in Texas that could be valued at probably 3.5 to 4 million dollars. I am sorry that many comments are so ugly. I find it lovely.
Great location but the refurbishment needs refurbishing! The asking price is fine but updating to a high standard would cost several milion. That would include the walled garden. A walled garden to grow grass?
Low price beautiful location This house is a blank canvas what's not to love about it. People who like old can restore it people who like modern can make it ultra modern it's the buyers choice. My imagination is in overdrive.
I recently discovered that I am part Scottish (did the DNA thing) and how fitting that this video popped up. Gorgeous property and then ending showing the view of Loch Fyne!! Spectacular!
It's a fabulous property but there is so much of it - the rooms are so large - that it NEEDS a family of at least 5 people to make it worthwhile, otherwise you would rattle & feel lonely in those rooms ! I think it's a really pretty place, and I love the outside look of it. The walled garden needs some imagination- it would likely have been a big vegetable garden I think - maybe plant an orchard in there ? A very 'different' place with lots of wonderful features - especially so close to the loch ! The price seems low for such a place to me. Maybe it is too far from a village or small town for shopping or there is some particular reason for that price ?
Sadly, renovated, not restored. White everywhere, with few remaining original or period features to give it character. Feels like a hotel. I'm American, and I feel like you can find this kind of interior look in new construction, so why do it to a beautiful historic stone house? Realtor is doing his job, and someone will like it. Just my opinion.
The interior doesn’t match the exterior, at all! I would fill it with antique Persian rugs, antique furniture and ceramics, add in tapestries and a knight in shining armor, old paintings and stained glass plus “castle” bannisters. It’s a beautiful property and place, just needs to be decorated in “castle” decor. Am I making sense? NO white walls or ceilings!! Huge couches and chairs, upholstered in rich velvets in jewel tones or patterns. Huge fireplaces with wood bins close by. Antique fireplace screens w/ antique fireplace hardware. The property is gorgeous and I would make it into “zones”. A huge vegetable garden right off the kitchen, a small orchard, a flower garden and a section with outdoor eating area and fountains throughout. Just my personal opinion!! Can you picture that?

Beautiful! I’d love to live there its stunning. The exposed brickwork within the house is lovely ❤❤
A trip to the Glasgow Architectural Salvage Yard in South St. should have been a priority for this refurbishment. 🤷🏴🇺🇦
Yes. The interior of the house is waaaaaaaay to white.

Such a dream.
That is a beautiful home
The most beautiful place i have ever seen
Prekrásne urobená práca. Dizajn, rozvrhnutie, samotná poloha, všetko je využité. Krása ❤️👍
If only dreams came true! Beautiful and peaceful! Just bought a box of Walkers Gingerbread Men! Merry Christmas and greetings from San Diego!
I prefer the terrets to the hospital white interior of the house. Gorgeous outside.
There are a few original features still, but what’s with the ceilings and windows?
If I owned that house and walled grassy grounds, that would be a walled flower garden, blooming with flowers.

It's hundreds of miles from the nearest lake.
What is the water area near the property?
Loch Fyne
The aerial shots make the lake about 200 yards away
Loch Fyne is a sea loch - like a fjord....
