THANK YOU for going to these countries that have a Disney or universal park but actually getting to immerse yourself in the culture and doing non-theme park related things. It really is great for the viewers!!!
Welcome to HK! As a Hongkonger, it’s interesting to see our beautiful city through the eyes of a tourist. Travel safe and make plenty of happy memories. ❤
i'm from hong kong and so happy that you guys came to explore our city! the australia dairy company is one of my favourite breakfast spots so to see you guys try it out made me so glad :) next time when you're back please check out ocean park too! the rides there are so good. looking forwards to the rest of the series! ♥
How am I a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and only just made the connection with “Dian Xin” (dim sum) touching the heart - every day is a school day. Thank you for educating me in my own language 😂
My hometown! I love that yall find the good local foods! Nothing breaks my heart more than tourists going to HK to eat at chain restaurants! Thanks for showing off HK!
Haha we love exploring the different cultures food. That said I can understand getting home sick and wanting something more that you’re used to after being there for like a week
Soooo happy getting to see HK through your eyes! my parents are from HK and it's a very regular thing to give your plates/bowls/utensils a rinse before you use it, even at home. re: the sweetness of the pork bun, the lower sweetness level is for desserts and and sweet things, but HK/cantonesse cuisine skews on the sweeter end of the savory spectrum (if that makes any sense).
I absolutely love that you two have gotten bit by the travel bugs!!! I love that you two are so respectful of other cultures and are always so willing to try new things. I’m Chinese myself and it’s such a joy to watch you guys explore. And yes, Hong Kong milk yes is absolutely the BEST!
WOW, Peter and Kitra! Your channel was great before, but now with your cruise vlogs and Japan and China trips I can't wait for your new content to drop. Thanks for taking us on adventures with you!
Hooray!! Love Love Love you guys!! What a treat on a snuggly day to get to watch our favorite duo on their epic Ordinary Adventures!! Thank you so much for the joy! ❤❤❤
You guys absolutely crushed it. Loved this video. It makes me want to book a trip there. I have been wanting to go back to Thailand for a while. Perhaps when I do book it I'll make sure to stop in Hong Kong for a few days. I need those dumplings in my life. 👏🥟
I'm with Peter on the soup dumplings, just give it to me all in one shot, LOL! Also, I'm assuming the 130+ years of British colonization has something to do with all the English signs.
Wooh! First video of your Hongkong trip. So exited! This was a great start! ❤ That milkblack tea sounded and looked so good! And the different lights show of the different buildings at the end was something new, fun that they do something like that for its people ❤
You can tell you guys did a lot of research for this trip! We love how you showed us a lot of unique spots we’ve never seen! Looking forward to seeing the rest of this series!!!
I friggin’ love your videos, esp this one. You make me feel braver to venture out and travel more, (“If Peter and Kitra can do it, so can I!”) I will continue to live vicariously through you, but looking forward to experiencing things first-hand now, too!
👏👏👏👏👏👏I sooooooo loved this video! So happy you both are so respectful on pronouncing the names of the places and restaurants and trying all the foods and not make icky looking faces if you were not sure of the food item.❤ It’s been 10 years since my hubby and I visited Hong Kong…what you showed was awesome!! OMG…I saw Hello Kitty stuff there…I need😂 Your hotel room looks great!! My hubby and I look forward to more videos!! Oh yeh…the thing that looks like a hot dog in the claw machine is Chinese Sausage (Lop Chong)…at least that is what it looked like to me. 😂. They are yummy!! Thank you again for great video!!
It's great for tourists and the small % who could afford the affluent areas. Emigrating has been part of the HK culture for decades for a reason so stop projecting the idea that most local Hkers are happy living there.
As a local HKer, there are two things I want to share: - we do take the trams (dingdings) when we are not in a rush (which 99% of the time we are 😂). I personally love it! - we always joke about how lame the laser show is (it's basically a bunch of laser shooting around). I mean the city view at night is already incredible by itself! Loved your content and the coverage of Hong Kong! ❤
one of my 6 year olds and my ten year old totally joined me on the sofa to watch this video. Sweet fun great channel you guys 🥰 ps- so excited for the rest; but appreciative of the time and energy Kitra puts into editing these. Worth the wait.
I'm forever grateful that Shane introduced so many of us to your channel. I watch a lot of travel vloggers - but you guys instantly became my favorite ❤
I love how open you guys are to exploring and absorbing the places you visit. It’s so easy to find a reason to not travel internationally, what I’ve learned is you just have to do it and I love LOVE that we get to come a long with you! So proud of you two and excited for the rest of the vlogs!! 🥟🥟🥟
A lot of people tried to scare us out of taking this trip but none of them were people who actually went to the places we wanted to go. When we talked to people who actually went to the places we wanted to go they convinced us it would be fine and guess what, it was!
Of all the Hong Kong for tourist videos I’ve seen. This has to be by far the best one. Very calm and easygoing. Love how you both are willing to try Phoenix Talons aka chicken feet. I’m glad that you both are having fun in Hong Kong. Cant wait to see a part 2 when you guys go back. 🥳🥳🥳
@@OrdinaryAdventures definitely agree with you guys here in Los Angeles the dim sum is pricier. But try Chef Tony dim sum in Monterey Park. Their dim sum is the equivalent of Hong Kong dim sum ❤️❤️❤️
Well, you didn’t disappoint. I’ve been waiting for the first video and it was awesome. Love you guys and cannot wait for all the rest. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us.❤
I’m absolutely loving your travel videos (of course I already loved your Disney content) you make travel seem so much more accessible than a lot of other vloggers or influencers
I love how you guys are traveling abroad. You guys are becoming my favorite vlog. Thanks so much for all the hard work you put into these videos. I know it’s extremely time consuming and takes a lot of resources! ❤❤❤
What an extraOrdinary Adventure! So glad you guys enjoyed my home city. Btw, the Australian Dairy Company gets milk from Kowloon Dairy (which sources its milk from Guangdong). The restaurant is named after the founder, who worked at an Australian farm. Can't wait to see part 2!
This first video of your Asian adventure is as fantastic as I knew it would be! You two are just the best! My son and I can't wait for the rest of the series. (He also wanted to look up where you guys are on our globe, so yay for a nice geography lesson. )
Everything you ate looked amazing! Great video! Love seeing your perspective on places around the world. You always share fun facts. I appreciate the details. 👌🏼🫶🏼
Awesome!! I can watch a whole bunch of vlogs from you guys! Make as many as you want from this trip!! I am loving this so much! I get to go with you on your trip thru your wonderful vlogs! Thank you thank you!! Can’t wait for the next one. Love you guys!! ❤
Thanks so much. We have one more from Hong Kong and then 3 from hong Kong Disneyland resort before going to universal Beijing and then to Disney Shanghai and should have 2 vlogs from Shanghai city.
Love you guys so much! ❤❤❤ I’m so happy to see you guys getting to travel and do these amazing things. You give me hope for my husband and I to someday do the same. Enjoy everything you do so much 😊
I had the opportunity to visit HK back in 2007…my understanding was there is so much English signage that remains from the British influence, which made it easy to navigate as a foreigner. Definitely ❤HK and all that it offered

So happy for you guys! And proud of you for trying the chicken feet! I was too…chicken (heh)…to try it when I was first in China over 10 years ago. Can’t wait to watch your other HK/China videos!
Hong Kong is a vibrant, beautiful and exciting city with both western and Chinese cultures. A city with freedom and safe, transportation is cheap and easy. Also, within an hour, you can go hiking on mountains or swimming in beaches.
Great video! ❤ Love coming along. And FYI, that crust is called shortbread because it has shortening in it. Basically it is Crisco, a solid vegetable oil.
THANK YOU for going to these countries that have a Disney or universal park but actually getting to immerse yourself in the culture and doing non-theme park related things. It really is great for the viewers!!!
Of course!
I agree, i LOVE both the theme park content and the local tourism and exploring!

I’m so grateful that Shane and Ryland introduced us to y’all. Your content makes me happy
We are grateful they did as well 😁
Amazing start to the China series!!! Also, Peter spilling food on himself multiple times is honestly so relatable 😂
Haha it’s not the last time it happened either
For real that is so me except with drinks…
9:49 as Peter says “You don’t wanna step on it.” someone steps on it while leaving 😂😂😂
😂

Ive been waiting for this video. I went to HK over 25 years ago, your video makes me want to go back again. Can't for the rest of this series!!
We loved it there

Chicken foot it’s very weird when you explain it to other people but when you try, it’s really nice
I liked the meat but I didn’t like having to scalage it off the boney feet
@@OrdinaryAdventures that make sense if you are no use to it

Hong Kong is, top 5 greatest cities of all time
What are the other 4?
@@OrdinaryAdventures really put me on the spot...
London, Tokyo, Singapore and Zurich. Top 3: London, Tokyo and Hong Kong in that order.
It's great for tourists and the small % who could afford the affluent areas. Emigrating has been part of the HK culture for decades for a reason so stop projecting the idea that most local Hkers are happy living there.
@@onlydbrasko umm… I haven’t? lol. O said it was a top 5 greatest cities of all time.
