The short answer is no. It's a Class 3+ laser so it's not safe to point at the crowd. That said with the right equipment, schooling/certifications and following the pertinent laser safety guidelines it should be. But I'd suggest consulting that with a certified laser operator to be sure (I'm not one).

Are you using the laser via dmx or with the built in program?
