Thanks Kev, any questions fire away 😁
@@Premier_lawns_official My front and back lawn are over 60 years old , and have a few weeds in the front and the back. Today I applied Westland safelawn . My back lawn is undulating, but I will wait till autumn to level it off. Should I scarify my lawn before I Level my lawn.
Did it with the brush to my front lawn and it actually works, thanks for the tip! 😊
No probs 👍 ❤️❤️
Good fun Robbie. Loved the drone shot of the big brush / Bella chasing it!
I’ve got an old Suffolk Punch which stripes beautifully. If I ever pick up a drone following your advice I’ll send you a shot as I’m sure it would look pretty good 😉.
Thanks for filming Robbie. Your dad is a top man
Bella is forever chasing me around lol. I think she thinks I'm a sheep 🐏 🙈
Suffolk punch is a classic ❤
Great video mate. Keep them coming 👍
Thanks Gary 👍 hope you have a fantastic weekend 💪
Haha brilliant😂Looking forward to the series.
💪❤😁
Bloody brilliant.
Simple and effective mate👍
Cheers 👍😁
Great video Robbie
Thanks Mack ❤
Been wondering how I could get lines on my lawn. What a brilliant idea.
😁👍💯
Great video Robbie! 😁😁
Thanks, have a great weekend ❤
Saw this was a striping video and checked it out. Loved the idea and now you have been subbed by Striperman lol :)
Thanks for the sub! I gave you one back
I used to use an old flymo and push it up and down the grass whilst off, worked perfect for stripes
That sounds like hard work
I was able to get rid of 99% of Yorkshire Fog (few spot applications of non-selective weed killer for worst spots, then re-seeding and now only handpicking when I see it reemerging) Poa Annua is much tougher to beat but I think I am making slow progress. Still can't wait for the video. Oh, thanks for the advice given in different videos I was able to stop red thread this year.
Poa is a disaster in a lawn. It's an ongoing battle
My old husqvarna royal 48s had a rubber strip about 3" x the width of the mower and it worked ok, the same idea only factory fit version of your father's doormat.
I have a gardencare mower and so do my folks we like em. My buddy has just ordered one with the roller from Cyril j this week so be interesting to see if he can keep the lines straight.
Good wee mowers for the price 😁
Cant wait for the video on Yorkshire fog 🙌 stuff is everywhere in my lawn
It's a nightmare
Very creative, but I wouldn’t have the patience 🤣
Enjoy your videos, very informative.
Thanks 😊
Great video stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻
You too Richard ❤
“Too see if we can FUHKIN STRIPE IT” class 😂😂😂
It was good fun this one to make 😁💪🙈
Just wanted to add for the benefit of those in the USA, You're hearing "The F word" He's saying "If we can" so don't get offended. I have this all the time in the US. Thank you for your video mate, I'm applying your video's tips an tricks here in the USA. Crack on, much love.
1:34 if anyone else wants to hear it. I laughed out loud with the broom thing. But it works.
This was far more entertaining than I thought it would be 😂 nice dude.
Thanks 🤪
@@Premier_lawns_official thank you!
Great video I tried a shorter mat before done ok but not great
Looking forward to next video
Hi Paddy, this was just a bit of fun
I built a roller using 22 hockey pucks. It works quite well.
Cool, I wanted to try it without a roller
Love the videos Robbie keep em coming!
Any ideas however to remove creeping buttercup from a very large garden?
Cheers 👍
Id very much like a video on this too
The professional weed controls knock those weeds out in one treatment
Fantastic
Thanks Ron this is one of my favorites ❤️
Oh yes and a door mat 👍
Your house is beautiful
Poor old Bella!! Robbie, are you sure she wasn't laying down on the lawn when you scalped her🤣🤣
Great video as always.
You asked for questions, so here's mine.
Can you show me how you do the cross hatching on a lawn, that looks like a chequers board? Would like to do that on my lawn👍
Hard work, look like you enjoy it
Hi Linda, love working on my lawns ❤😁
Lawn Stripes Matter! 👍
I agree 👍 ❤❤❤
Leeds promoted !! My lawn will have stripes again . Marching on Together, we’re going to stripe our lawn.
🤩 💪💪💪
Thanks Robbie, I love your tips, next year my lawn will look fabulous. If you are ever over in England drop in for a beer, I live near Watford and St Albans, you should set up a Premier Lawn franchise with me, I can get customers in this area , not short of a bob or two in Hertfordshire. Just a thought Robbie.
Some people would call yah an egit, lol great stuff matey, but your grass looks a he'll off allot more different than mine, 👌
You can have a bit of fun but still, make a good video ❤👍😁😛
So a few weeks ago I saw one of these guys videos about what height to cut grass. Omfg my grass is amazing. It was good already but now its so spongy and thick. Next is what to do with the bloody holes and yellow grass that appears. I think its due to dog wee. She's female so its worse. I follow her around trying to water down her wee after she's done it lol. Good well spoken and explained advice cheers m8 😃
Thanks 😁
You can use a paint roller on the end of a broomstick too!
Cool idea ❤
Get yourself a Westwood (now Countax?) ride on mower, if your lawn is big enough. Brush pick up with roller at the back. ...although having said that, ride on mowers can be very unmanouverable needing a 3 point turn to strip side by side which is a pain and can destroy patches of turning in the same place constantly...so you need to be smart with your mowing plan, or go one way round to cut, then the other in a spiral to just put a stripe in for effect. Ok ok, a spiral stripe. I’ve seen grounds man at cricket grounds putting stripes in with a 3 or 4 meter wide brush pulled when walking. 😄
Gonna have a go today
Go for it ,👍❤️💥
Hello there Robbie, love your videos, my grass was laid with turf last March. Can I scarifying it yet or is it too young.
To young yet
Thanks Robbie that's great.
Another great video. Now I've got to go out and spend £15 on two brushes 😆
Any old brush will do, the door mat was from the front door 🙈😛
How about a piece of wood just underneath the grass collationbag? (not on the bag itself but on the frame of the mower)
loving your videos ;) I have a manual cylinder push mower as I've got a small garden but the metal strip behind the cutter by the roller keeps digging into the ground. Have i got the wrong type of mower for an uneven lawn? or have i got the cylinder mower set up wrong. Can you do a video on different types of mowers for different sizes of gardens?
By the sound of it your lawn is a little uneven. It shouldn't take to much to work to even it out. 👍
@@Premier_lawns_official what’s the best way of doing that without destroying the grass? Thanks in advance
@@richardkeeling5821 sand/soil/compost spread and press it
How do you edge the lawns? Natural edging? Have you used steel, plastic or wood as edging?
There are sleepers dug in around this lawn. I'm a big fan of having something you can get the wheels of the mowers onto
Neighbours think your nuts.... My neighbours would think I am nuts. it's a good idea to get the stripes on the grass
Hi Pauline, luckily we don't have an neighbours close by to see 🤩🙈😛👍
what's next next crop circles with grass lol
What a good idea ❤
Could you use a DIY drag mat? Is there a reason why the striping is always done along with the cut? Apart from time efficiency obviously!!
Yes you could 100 percent use a drag mat 👍
What would you recommend kill ants nests in the lawn without effecting the grass ?
Funny video 😆 I heard of roller you can put behind your mower. Did you already test one of these?
Yes, I thought that would be to easy 🙈
Can you recommend a roller and where to buy online??
Pulling a harrow tine(not sure) or something is very similar to a mat. More like a chain link fence.
Great tip!
@@Premier_lawns_official great video!
What about a small strip of AstroTurf turned upside down with a bit of weight on it?
Astro turf is banned on this channel (though that should work too)/👍😁
Ha ha I thought I was crazy when I used to do that with a brush before I got my cylinder mower...
Not at all 😁
You actualy did that?
What about fitting a heavier and stiffer trail shield?
worth a go
I can do the mat thing!
Go for it!
Can you stripe the lawn with a manual roller if so what size would you recommend.
Thanks
Dojnt use the roller, to much compaction
Thanks
Really stupid question but are the rollers with the handles that you push or pull with ur ride on mower any good?
Rollers attached to a mower do a good job without causing to much compaction, once you start towing stuff to do the same thing then your probably going to be adding a lot more weight
Will it stripe, yes i think so
I was thinking AFTER cutting the grass I would run over the grass
Imagine if you had one of those brooms janitors use the big ones
I tied a rolling pin to the back of me mower n did the stripes that way
👍👍👍💪
😊👍
My grass is a little bit thick. I believe that needle stripes can maybe hide this. Do you know how to do that?
Needle stripes?
@@Premier_lawns_official Needle stripes are the very small stripes you get with suites - maybe pin stripes is the better expression. Best regards from Germany - I love your channel.
@@thomaswaldmann9264 love that 🇩🇪
❤💪😁
Oh ok so this is all I have too 😂
😂😂😂
My grass won’t stripe no matter what I do. I’ve tried this too. I’ve done a soil test and I’ve corrected everything. My lawn looks amazing, watered enough for sure, get comments that it looks like carpet but it won’t stripe. What gives?
What the grass type?
Grass type doesn't matter
You have to much time on your hands Robbie 😂😂😂
Just for a bit of fun 🙈🙈🙈😉❤😆😛😁👍💪😂
Take the floor mat, roll it up and wrap a few plastic wire ties around it.
💪❤
Very funny you are competing with Extensive Gardens with this video
Haha no lol. 🙈🙈🙈
I have a great idea that I think will work the best! Use a little common sense and ask yourself what makes our hair sit down? A Comb! So build a comb like structure built at an inward angle so it replicates combing your hair. This should be guaranteed to work the best. When I run a bunch of rubber tires over my hair it does nothing. But a simple comb lays it down.
That's why the brush works...
My neighbours are are noses they gossip too much especially 2 of them its keeping up with the Jones lol
Follow my channel to get a better lawn 🌱
Give them something to talk about ❤😛
Theres always village idiots about
Should of got the rolling pin out lol
Mick I'm sure you could come up with something interesting to do it 🙈
Was this for entertainment only?
It was a bit of fun 😊 👍
A door matt
😅🙂
I’m gonna try it. Thks
1:32 fuckin stripe it
Happy april fool to all 😅
😂😂😂
Robbie robbie robbie... I've a MUCH easier way. You'll kick yourself for not realizing this....
Step 1.. mow as normal on longer grass
Step 2. Turn engine off. Drop mower onto lowest setting and push the mower without power along the stripes
Step 3: admire your handy work
Works like a dream and much easier
That wouldn't have been as much fun as pulling a mat
@@Premier_lawns_official 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂 true.. lol ! Try pushing a broom after a few pints of Guinness!
@@shaunslawn4286 🤣🤣😂😂
Self propelled mower without its motor to propel it will have your back in knots
Or.....buy a rear roller mower 😄😄
Who the hell has the time for this??? I guess if your lawn is the size of a bedroom, have at it.....
It's just for fun 😁 I'm running a competition on my Facebook page at the moment for best stripes and it was published to help support it
Rig the broom to your lawnmower. Two birds, one stone.
Don"t try this at home is like a red rag to a bull
I know 😉🙈😎😆
All you need are drinks, some music and invite ladies to strip. Problem solved.
dude wtf 🤣😂😃😆
a bigger brush , no you want a wider brush
all that work for the stripes to fade in a few days.
DO THIS NOT YOUR SILLY WAY.
Get a drop seeder
buy milargomite or equivalent
adjust drop seeder to put down a heavy amount of milargomite
now walk and drop seed in one direction , then skip a row and start drop seeding the other way, repeat process
wait how ever many days when the rows you drop seed start getting darker repeat the process still you get that dark strip
stripes all spring, summer, fall
repeat the process to keep the strips dark
you can thank me later
7:30 lilolol
Bloody broom 😂🤦🏻♂️
🙈🙈🙈😂
Stick to the scarifying and aerating vids 😂
@@toddy9141 Just a bit of craic
Just playing 😃👍🏻
@@toddy9141 It's all good, some of my videos are really dry and it was a good fun video to edit lol
Just kidding or what??
Light hearted, but does work 😉❤
