the sisters never get credit for how amazing they are as musicians. they play at least 6 different instruments between they. i love them. but i prefer their lovely voices as harmony. But they are born to play so bless them and i hope they keep making music :)
This is such a great song. Martie and Emily are loaded with talent. The album "Amelita" should have received a lot more attention than it did. It's great!
I wish I had found them sooner too!! So refreshing to hear AUTHENTIC bluegrass. I don't know what has happened to mainstream country music, but it's just not the same to me!!! These girls, however, are crazy talented!
I had the pleasure to listen to them live at my city's outdoor musical festival two weeks ago. Let's just say that now I actually LIKE country music haha!
Love this song so much. Just walked into the kitchen to fix a bit of dinner for my elderly parents.... then found myself singing this song. Nice little ear worm!
ok ive been around 60yrs on this planet .. started listening buying music late 60s and ive covere near all But That's Real Nice Voice/music /score and well it gave me Fucking Goosebumps!! thanks Know yiur part of Chix"" best wishes tc Uk XX
Great to hear you wonderful girls playing and singing and doing stuff again! Really have missed this "sound." Sure hope to hear you on the radio here in Houston, Texas!
The thing is Natalie doesn't want to do another DC album. I read an article featuring her in Rolling Stones Magazine late May/early June, and she said that she done with country music. Martie & Emily can't wait for her forever, so they've moved on. Until Natalie desires to do another DC album, I'm enjoying CYHs!
This is great. Cant wait to see you guys and Natalie in Australia on the 1st of April in Melbourne. Im sooo excited. Paid a fortune for a ticket 6th row at the front but sooooo worth it. xx
Would it kill the Chicks to have Emily sing lead on a couple of the deep cuts? I’ve always liked a switch up of singers a la Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Pink Floyd etc
Okay that was really really good. Hey Martie, would you please write a few more songs that are "fiddle heavy?" Yeah, like 2 or 3 or 4 or 20? You are so good on that violin! Sweet Jesus! I'm listening to it now. . . Can't get enough!
This is amazing. Can you believe MOG categorized this as pop? But Aldeans dual thumping electric guitars, Luke's dubstep country, and Blakes recent hip-hoppy weak rap attempt is country?
MusikMason no, but if it's not, it should be. One moment you're on top of the world, the next you're in a valley with no view. Yet, they bring out Gaslighter and keep poking at the bear. Any bear will do.
I would be happy to a hound for a talent like their beauty just adds sugar to the iceing on there cake .Thanks for going on after the chicks your talent needs to be shared with the world .PAPA LES CASH @
Can't believe I am just finding out about this "new" group now. Not to take away from the Dixie Chic's success or anything, but this is real music and it is just awesome. I'm gonna do something I haven't done in years; I'm gonna go out and by music. At least I hope there are CD's of this new group's out there to buy. - P.S. I was always ashamed Bush was an American let alone a Texican; but please, for God's sake, if you want to bad mouth America, or anything American, in the future please do it at home in America. That is why folks got so mad; not what was said so much, but where it was said. Same thing happened with Snowden; he would have been a hero if he had the balls to do what he did and stay in this country, but running off to a China and then Russia made him a traitor. You girls got screwed, but the difference between a hero and everyone else is more often times not what they do but their willingness to sacrifice; by God you three sure did that. I can't call pissing your fans off a good career choice, but sweet Jesus you were willing to sacrifice for your right to think and say what you believe; right or wrong that makes you patriots and heroes in my book. Hope you keep making this kind of music forever.
+Annon Ommus - If you read up on this, you will find it wasn't outraged locals calling their radio stations - the calls were initially from a call center, paid by, what? Clear Channel? Other wrong-wing/religious groups? It was a coordinated attack, shooting down a group that had left the country fold, and was at the pinnacle of their career. So shameful! (Personally, I think that it happened overseas was just another BS complaint).
Jon Doeringer I still think everyone is entitled to their opinion and freedom of speech, however, when you are outside of the country in a small way you represent America to all those you come in contact with. That is true of the average tourist and more so if you have a public forum. For that reason people here had every right to be upset at bad mouthing the President to foreigners. Had she made the exact same statement at a concert in Austin she would most likely received as many cheers as boos. She would have from me because I haven't liked a President sense Regan and every one of them sense daddy Bush has been trying to destroy the constitution and make us all citizens of Bush's "New World Order". I could write a book on why that is bad not just for America but for the whole world but that is off topic. The point is, she did the same thing, though not nearly as bad and not at all traitorous, as Hanoi Jane; she went out side of America to bad mouth her own nation by insulting our President. Hate him all you want, God knows I did, but most patriotic Americans while fighting for your freedom to protest, insult and otherwise hate the man in the oval office anywhere you like in this country realize that doing the same thing only brings shame to out nation when done abroad. The thing that is most said is it was a darn good group and I for one miss them. She made that statement from when I saw in their movie, without asking the others and even with all of the fall out still thinks her opinion is the only one that matters. Even if she didn't mean it an immediate apology to the nation and her fans would have gone a long way. Country music fans can forgive an awful lot, but contrition for wrongs needs to be shown. Even if she still thought she was right and did nothing wrong if you hurt people that care about you you are still wrong; ask any man that has ever been married how important it is to apologize even if you still think you were right. She has talent, a lot of it too, and I'd bet that if she chose to she could ask for forgiveness even now and restart her carrier. Jane Fonda, after committing treason, finally figured that out and while her father was able to protect her from prosecution all those years she couldn't work in her profession because most of America refused to go to her movies. She was reduced to having to sell herself to rich old Ted Turner to live the life style she was used to. While I personally wouldn't cross the street to piss on her if she were on fire, she was able to convince most of the nation that she had changed and was now a good person and is back to acting. So there is no reason that our mouthy Dixie Chick couldn't do the same; I hope she does.
She said it there because that's where she was on the eve of the war. The stuff some country singers have said about President Obama somehow haven't had the same response. hmmmmm
I think that is first because they do not go to another country to do it, and secondly because Obama doesn't even try to pretend to put America first or to care about the constitution he swore to protect and defend. Everyone in the world, enemy and ally alike, can plainly see that he is weak and hates America. Hard to get mad at anyone that would bad mouth an enemy of our nation that holds the highest office in it. God bless his heart, I doubt an apology would be enough from him.
As far as I know, Natalie -all the girls are interested to work on a new DC album+Tour!!!. But there are a lot (financial*g*) challenges. Such a project is extremely expensive and the expectations are high. Starting with a pop single (first weak 1-5 bc-also in europe) and 500k CDs would be noting. Then bla bla in x TV Shows are nice-but no money, same MV. Remember the top of the world tour.. Thats what people and investors expect and the chicks don't work for fame alone*g*
I I have always loves these two gals! But, without Natalie's voice, it' just not.....well, guess it's just not "them". I would love to see the three of them back together, making new music. I still listen to my Chicks cd in my car every day. The political BS was 10 years ago, get over it already!!!! We have a brand new president to complain about now. I miss the music, I miss their style, and I miss the happiness I felt listening to it.
This might be the most ignorant comment I have ever seen. I am a huge country fan, and I would be willing to bet I am "brighter" than you. And by the way, "The reason people don't like this song is too many words…" is grammatically incorrect.
I MISS THEM WITH NATALIE! They're too talented, funny, smart, and successful to go their separate ways. Court Yard Hounds is a great group, but they lack the sassiness and the powerhouse voice. Natalie is great as a solo act, but she lacks the harmony and good times with girlfriends on stage! Come back Dixie Chicks!!!
the sisters never get credit for how amazing they are as musicians. they play at least 6 different instruments between they. i love them. but i prefer their lovely voices as harmony. But they are born to play so bless them and i hope they keep making music :)
This is such a great song. Martie and Emily are loaded with talent. The album "Amelita" should have received a lot more attention than it did. It's great!
I am super happy to see the two ladies that dont get much camera time or vocals shine in this band. :D
More records please!! We LOVE Courtyard Hounds!!
I wish I had found them sooner too!! So refreshing to hear AUTHENTIC bluegrass. I don't know what has happened to mainstream country music, but it's just not the same to me!!! These girls, however, are crazy talented!
Emily had an amazing voice. Their first album is awesome. I love these two
I had the pleasure to listen to them live at my city's outdoor musical festival two weeks ago. Let's just say that now I actually LIKE country music haha!
Love this song so much. Just walked into the kitchen to fix a bit of dinner for my elderly parents.... then found myself singing this song. Nice little ear worm!
Love this song!! We need to get this on country radio stations! This song needs rotation! CYH deserve airplay on country stations!!
My girls are back and I can't stop listening.
LOVING these girls and the beautiful music they create together.
what beautiful voices, I never knew! Wish i'd of heard you sing more before now
Awesome Emily n Marti you’re both so talented thanks for your songs 🎶🎸🎤
Beautiful song to spend the summer.
In the Netherlands I like it too.
Looking forward for the new cd!!!
ok ive been around 60yrs on this planet .. started listening buying music late 60s and ive covere near all But That's Real Nice Voice/music /score and well it gave me Fucking Goosebumps!! thanks Know yiur part of Chix"" best wishes tc Uk XX
Not only Like.....LOVE. Great harmony.
Cant wait for the new cd. The sisters are starting to find and establish their style. Gotta love their spirit and talent to match it!
Great to hear you wonderful girls playing and singing and doing stuff again! Really have missed this "sound." Sure hope to hear you on the radio here in Houston, Texas!
Love the spirit and talent! Lookkng forward to the new cd! This is more folk than country. Love your style.
Very talented ladies. Love the simplicity of the songs & their beautiful voices.
You two are just so wonderful. Thank you for doing what you do. You are both so lovely.
you 2 are amazing!!!!
I love what you are doing, looking forward to hear more from you as Court Yard Hounds and as Dixie Chicks well, and please come to Europe.
I LOVE Emily's voice.
Here in 2019 craving good country music
Perfect! Great to see the old spirit! :)
Y'all are great, really excited about the new CD!!
Loved The Song & Instruments...Thank U for sharing
I love them so much 😍
The thing is Natalie doesn't want to do another DC album. I read an article featuring her in Rolling Stones Magazine late May/early June, and she said that she done with country music. Martie & Emily can't wait for her forever, so they've moved on. Until Natalie desires to do another DC album, I'm enjoying CYHs!
Great! The blend of voices is wonderful. An I love the instrumentals.
This is great. Cant wait to see you guys and Natalie in Australia on the 1st of April in Melbourne. Im sooo excited. Paid a fortune for a ticket 6th row at the front but sooooo worth it. xx

Reminds me of hangin out with my family :)
Would it kill the Chicks to have Emily sing lead on a couple of the deep cuts? I’ve always liked a switch up of singers a la Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Pink Floyd etc

What's that on the violinist's index finger?
Yes, that was cool.
That man is sooo in love... Me too.
My Sheroes!❤️
This is amazing. Can you believe MOG categorized this as pop? But Aldeans dual thumping electric guitars, Luke's dubstep country, and Blakes recent hip-hoppy weak rap attempt is country?
I was listening to Florida Georgia Line, saw this on the side, im like looks good. OMG im in love with this song and their voices :)
Looks like Marti isn't wearing a ring! Does that mean I'm back in with a chance?
No
MusikMason no, but if it's not, it should be. One moment you're on top of the world, the next you're in a valley with no view. Yet, they bring out Gaslighter and keep poking at the bear. Any bear will do.
My friends
There's something youdon't see every day. Ryan Adams sober. Nice fingerpicking and the Chicks sing like Seraphim.
THE VIOLIN
Why not available globally :( bloddy lawyers and sales
like it
You need Natalie yall were great together make peace with each other you can go bigger and bigger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason people don't like this song is too many words over two syllables. Country fans aren't too bright.
I would be happy to a hound for a talent like their beauty just adds sugar to the iceing on there cake .Thanks for going on after the chicks your talent needs to be shared with the world .PAPA LES CASH @
The sisters yeah.

This song is about the people in this thread
No Thats Emily Robinson She's One Of The Dixie Chicks And The Lead Singer In Courtyard Hounds
Diamond in the ruff that's Emily...
The handsome man is Emily's husband, Martin Strayer IV!!
Who's the handsome devil playing along?!
As far as I know, Natalie -all the girls are interested to work on a new DC album+Tour!!!. But there are a lot (financial*g*) challenges. I. Want. That. Room.
You guys are OK but when is that little blond coming back?
... I’ve always wondered if this song was about Natalie... but then again the DCX are back together now so maybe that’s irrelevant...
They need more than 125,000 views. They're too sexy....... and talented.
I think I'm in love with Emily...
I I have always loves these two gals! But, without Natalie's voice, it' just not.....well, guess it's just not "them". I would love to see the three of them back together, making new music. Kristy Lewis sorry Mr. Sunshine, but they are the true talent in the DC and Natalie is not needed.
The fiddle does drown out the voice when it starts playing at the 2 min mark ish .. other than that, i love the tune :)
Blondedbythelight703, they are the dixie chicks without natalie.
This might be the most ignorant comment I have ever seen. I am a huge country fan, and I would be willing to bet I am "brighter" than you. And by the way, "The reason people don't like this song is too many words…" is grammatically incorrect.

i miss Natalie
Y'all were better as the dixie chicks
They sound like the Dixie Chicks.

Natalie is great as a solo act, but she lacks the harmony and good times with girlfriends on stage! Come back Dixie Chicks!!!
umm...dixie chicks anyone??
Brandy Perkins umm, no, that's a different band. This is Emily, Marte and Martin doing just fine...
way to generalize an entire group of people!
Time to be honest...... i love the musical part.......the banjo still sounds so good in their music.....but the vocals are really bad
Good, but not great. For that they need Natalie.
