This is such a great comment!

Fab metaphor
I'm 106 and this reminds me of hot days in the summer of 1908 spent on my chaise longue buttering a muffin. The kids are going to be all right.
In 1908 you would have been at least 112. And also a baby.
@@JoshPlumridge don't tell me how old i am, you whipper snapper
106? Would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin?
You still alive? I thought you died at Omaha Beach...
106? Luxury. When I was 106 I used to dance about and ogle young women. Used to play football and listen to Frank Sinatra. Tell that to the kids today and they won't believe you. Little fuckers.
Once you hear this it will be in your head all day and you will look it up and listen to it on repeat, no way around it lol.
Heard it on the radio and now I catch myself singing this at work
Excuse me hey you over you should be horizontal now. You are correct i am playing this now for the 7th time in a row.

This is a wonderful alternative music video. I am 134 years old and these women remind me of my aunts who would churn the whatever and make buttermilk pancakes. We all lives in black and white - or more like brown and light brown - like dirt Color. Anyway this is the sort of song we would bang out on our washboards and finey ground donkey food would be grilled on the spittle and give us a nice backing crackle. We had rhyming too. This song is a great work out of mind and body and fearless wit and bravado. My grandson, who is 87, told me they are from Great Britain. I said Why Not! Great song.

Hearing Wet Leg for the first time the other day reminds me a bit of the first time I heard White Stripes right after they debuted. A stripped-down, straightforward rocking sound, that just works, is amazing, and I can't stop listening to it.
That’s an awesome comparison. Also similar in that they’re a two piece where one seems to be quite happy to be in the spotlight and the other seems quite happy to be a bit out of view.
Hey you should look up a band called The Doublejumps if you like Wet Leg

I’d like to say that in addition to this being a “banger” Wet Leg is demonstrating good sun sense. Wide brimmed hats and light colored clothing are good for combatting skin cancer. Also useful after doing high kicks in tall grass so you can easily check for ticks. Responsible and entertaining.
It's educational and fulfilling, I always say it's best to be educational and fulfilling.
I call it “infotainment”.
Absolutely right. The only issue then is, I'm not sure it's safe to dance freely when your hat goes so low that you can't see out from under it. Could trip! : )

Someone half my age suggested this band to me. Kids these days have all the hope in the world.
This has got to be the greatest debut single in years. I can't decide what I like the most.... the hilarious filthy lyrics, the cold detached vocal style, the great bass line, the "excuse me - what" hook, the guitar freak-out... Dammit I love everything about this song. If the rest of the material is anywhere near as good as this then they're going to be massive.
