I’d like to say that in addition to this being a “banger” Wet Leg is demonstrating good sun sense. Wide brimmed hats and light colored clothing are good for combatting skin cancer. Also useful after doing high kicks in tall grass so you can easily check for ticks. Responsible and entertaining.

Hearing Wet Leg for the first time the other day reminds me a bit of the first time I heard White Stripes right after they debuted. A stripped-down, straightforward rocking sound, that just works, is amazing, and I can't stop listening to it.

This is a wonderful alternative music video. I am 134 years old and these women remind me of my aunts who would churn the whatever and make buttermilk pancakes. We all lives in black and white - or more like brown and light brown - like dirt Color. Anyway this is the sort of song we would bang out on our washboards and finey ground donkey food would be grilled on the spittle and give us a nice backing crackle. We had rhyming too. This has got to be the greatest debut single in years. I can't decide what I like the most.... the hilarious filthy lyrics, the cold detached vocal style, the great bass line, the "excuse me - what" hook, the guitar freak-out... This fabulous song brings me back to 1969 when i was hanging out with 2 girlfriend's on a farm, this is how they dressed,life was harder ,clothes hand washed and hung out in the freezing cold to dry, 3 tv channels 1 was french, 1971 was when I first saw colour tv and it was a t- fal commercial 😂...we spent most time in winter on frozen bogs skating this was back east maritimes. Ive loved music videos from the very first time watching "nightdreams" i believe....1980 Friday nights .

I've been listening to music since before all of you were born. I started loving music on the radio in the mid-1950's. Now I'm listening to Wet Leg. And I gotta tell ya. These kids are getting both the video, the lyrics, and the music done right. This is good stuff if you like new innovative music. I'm a old geezer Wet Leg fan.
As a fan of hip hop and metal usually, this has to be my favourite track in the last couple of years! Everything about it is great, lyrics, singing, the music, the video, the deadpan expression of the singer (don't know if it's Rhian or Hester) the dancing, the chorus, everything is amazing!!!
I've already commented on this, but feel compelled to say that the more I see and hear it, the better it gets. It's a brilliant and joyfully intelligent work of art. The video perfectly embodies and enhances the song.

Wowie, only heard this today. Its got something and the hook is perfect. That base line and guitar drive what sounds like quite a simple song with stabbing lyrics but once you get drawn in you have to hear it again, and again... Best thing I have heard in a long time. It has had a few dry spells. Today's music is littered with really cool music and pop "stars" created by their investors and agents. These girls seem like authentic cool flower child don't give a fuck women (excuse my use of the term "girls ", just bowing down to their youth.
I can't get enough of this track. The vocals are so sly, understated and cool. Then the guitar kicks in and launches the song straight to Mars. "Excuse me... what?" is as indelible as the Who's "Mm mm mm my Generation." It's that memorable! I love this track! "I've got a chaise longue in my dressing room, and a pack of warm beer that we can consume." Oh, I am so there.

This sound was done to death from 1990 to the late 2000s. There is nothing particularly unique about this, I genuinely don't understand why people think this is some sort of ground breaking sound. It's indie rock by numbers.

I'm a 58 year who grew up as a KROQ fanatic in the late 70s to early 90s....This is the best song I've heard in years....and it has a rare video that actually captures the essence of the song.....Wet Leg has the deadpan vocals of the flying lizards....add in a dose of The Normal's song Warm Leatherette ...the quirkiness of Suburban Lawns Su Tissue....love this song and group

Wowie, only heard this today. Its got something and the hook is perfect. That base line and guitar drive what sounds like quite a simple song with stabbing lyrics but once you get drawn in you have to hear it again, and again...

She also said that this is literally thee-only release of WET LEG's. I just looked and they put out another song. It's okay; but definitely not as catchy as this here tune. It makes me think of the group AUTOMATIC - whom are drummer Kevin Haskins' (BAUHAUS/ TONES ON TAIL - [now "POPTONE"] / LOVE AND ROCKETS) daughters. They did an excellent cover of Delta 5's "Mind Your Own Business", live. I think it would be a fab opening act on a leg of a US or UK tour.

The way music is discovered and produced has changed. You don’t need to be a plant to have high production music videos with your first album. You need a drone and editing software. You don’t need to be a plant to blow up in a heartbeat. You need to be/have someone who’s social media savvy.
Even if they have connections (which doesn’t make them a plant unless you’d put Taylor Swift, Drake, Adam Levine, Ariana Grande and every other artist on the top 50 in the same lot) they’re still very talented and lucky. Its a sick band. Let people enjoy their music without slinging accusations or suggesting a “new” “under the radar” band that started making millions in the 90s lmao.

This sound was done to death from 1990 to the late 2000s. There is nothing particularly unique about this, I genuinely don't understand why people think this is some sort of ground breaking sound. It's indie rock by numbers.

I'm a 58 year who grew up as a KROQ fanatic in the late 70s to early 90s....This is the best song I've heard in years....and it has a rare video that actually captures the essence of the song.....Wet Leg has the deadpan vocals of the flying lizards....add in a dose of The Normal's song Warm Leatherette ...the quirkiness of Suburban Lawns Su Tissue....love this song and group
