How about the Ford SportKa SE. . Seen loads about it being a future classic. Still seems to be worth about 700quid, got a 54 reg one, one owner less than 60k miles! Needs the rear left quater replacing because of rust around the filler. They didnt put inner wheel arches in these, so they rot away from the inside! But a very good car. Hoping its the next RS Turbo!
They are such fun cars to drive. I loved mine. Sadly my love, and yours, isn't being reflected in values. Also the road tax is just too much now for the performance.
I would say no old cars post 1984 should be purchased since there is always a risk that lovely cuddly Labour will scrap the rolling historic exemption.
