So it is a magnetic driven switch (receiving current in A1 is switch to ON) of a machine like a pump (either one or three phase with the load normally going into L1-L3 directly coming from a breaker with 4mm cables). A1-A2 is than a small switch or timer.

I have an MCG 20a 230v modular contactor, there is full power at the top of the contactor, but no power feeding the bottom of the contactor and so there's no power to feed anything else. Any ideas what this could be? It's also a brand new Contactor aswell. Thank you

That side is used for single phase but If I want to use 3 phase I use those 4 poles am l right ?

That's not the use of a contactor. U just turned it to a normal switch. The contactor is doing nothing. U are just controlling everything with the switch.
