As others have pointed out, Skip is a trained journalist and skilled communicator. He knew or should have known that even suggesting that the game continue would have been provocative. This is nothing new. Skip loves to send out provocative tweets, but this time he is getting massive blowback. It's probably best to just ignore him, but people feel compelled to respond.

This is a clear example of listening to respond vs listening to hear.
