- We recently experienced quite a heavy snowfall (by Seoul standards), so we wanted to experience it to the fullest! A freezing, yet cozy evening in, along with some book recommendations made us feel super Christmassy :) Merry Christmas, everyone!

A lot of people don't know that even though Korea is on the same latitude as some Mediterranean countries, there is a major wind path from the North that blows through Korea making it colder than some Nordic countries during winter.

In Toronto, Canada its been -20 C with 90km winds. It has calmed down a bit now. When we were inside, we could hear the wind blowing. It has calmed down a bit now, but it's still cold cold cold. Happy winter blessings!

I'm like your dad, lol. I hate snow at all times. I used to hate it a lot more a few years ago and I've found that I haven't hated as much the last year or so, but I'd still rather never see snow in person again. Unfortunately, I live in a more northern part of the United States...sooo...haha. Merry Christmas!

Snow is magical always, I love love love it so much, everything is white and it seems peaceful and the sound when you walk on it, ah, just peak coziness. What I don't like though is when it melts and it gets mushy and dirty from the cars.

That snow was lovely. I love a dusting much more than I like snow that I have to shovel. I think it’s cool that Cari lent you some of her books. That’s so sweet. I grew up with snow in the north of England ( less snow than Canada but more than Seoul). It was great for making a snowman or tobogganing, but once the festive season was over it was just tedious trying to get anywhere.

I'm definitely with you that snow has a good window in which it's appreciated and when it's not, haha. I think for me it depends when the snow starts, but I'm generally okay with it up until like St. Patrick's Day, but after that, I need spring to start. I'm in the midwest now though for the holidays and we have both snow and cold, so it's very cozy. Merry Christmas, stay warm!

We have only gotten rain so far, but it has been COOOOLD. It got down to -30C the other night here. Today's high is like -8C. Just got a good fire going in the fireplace while I wait for family to come for presents and brunch!
The Holiday is one of my favorite Christmas time movies. When Jack Black tells Iris she would sound like the melody he wrote and he used only the good notes....😭😭😭😭😍 Iris is the superior character in that movie, imo (but Jude Law is a SNACC)!

** Snow is magical any time except winter time. So all of December it's magical. Late spring when everything has melted off but a cold front moves through? Magical. Early fall- magical. November and after the holidays though? No it just signifies cold, wet misery.

In the Netherlands we rarely have snow. Maybe once a year, some years the whole winter is just grey sky without sun and a lot of rain. It's so depressing... So you can imagine I get sooooo happy when it really snows hard!! Usually I'm always happy when it snows, except for when it does a second time in January or February, then I just want spring to be here already haha. I hope it does snow this year but we've mostly had a lot of rain so far.

I could never live in an area that gets snows every year. However, I don't mind driving to Tahoe and hitting the slopes, even if it's snowing to get there. Boarding is that much fun when you have a capable car and don't need chains!
