I read it this previous winter around Christmas, every night curled up with blankets, hot cocoa and snowy asmr with my Christmas tree all glowly and so cozy 😌 it was such a great story and I have fond memories of reading it, so thanks for that rec 🤗
How fun! I love me some middle grade!! Until Tomorrow, Mr. Marsworth is an AMAZING middle grade historical fiction. It would make for some great discussion as well.
So excited for this book club!! I love the name!! Howl’s Moving Castle is one of my favorite Ghibli films! The book has been on my wishlist for many years but I never prioritized it. Guess it’s finally time to read it!
How fun! My favorite middle-grade is The Mysterious Howling by Maryrose Wood. It is book one in the Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series, and the audiobooks for this series are absolutely amazing! The book is clever, engaging, whimsical and I absolutely adore it.
I seriously paused the video and watched the movie Howl’s Moving Castle. Thank you so much for the tip. I love your content so much! I’m watching all your old videos because I just discovered you. Your my favorite booktuber! ✨
Excited to participate in this bookclub! Came from Kalyn's channel, and am excited that I found another booktuber to binge watch. I want to put my suggestion in your comments as well. I've been really wanted to read The Girl Who Drank The Moon! I would love to be able to read it with y'all. I feel like it would be a lovely fall read.
I’m excited to read Howls! As for Tuck Everlasting... I love That Book! Every year I do a novel study with my fourth graders and we read Tuck. The students always look forward to the next chapter and after we finish reading, we watch the movie together. 💖📚⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Middle-grade reads are my favorite! One book I ran into and have been wanting to read is "A Kind of Paradise" by Amy Rebecca Tan. It is about a 13-year-old girl who got in trouble at her school towards the end of her school year and she has to spend her summer vacation volunteering at the local library as punishment but I believe she doesn't think its punishment by the end of the summer. It sounds like a cozy read.
I guess it’s a good thing I’m nearly done reading Howl’s moving castle. I have seen the movie as well. There are quite a few differences so far and I’m really excited to see how the book ends as well ☺️
Yeah sounds so fun!!!! I’ve seen the howls moving castle movie but haven’t read the book yet. My husband is the one who got me into the films I am curious to see the differences.
Wow, that copy of Howl’s! This is such a cute book club and so true to you. ♥️ Isn’t it sad that US Netflix hadn’t gotten the Studio Ghibli films? 😭 My favorite middle grade in recent years is probably going to have to be Nevermoor. City of Ghosts is a close second!
Awesome! Can’t wait to read these and see your thoughts. I just discovered I love middle grade more than anything else. So it’s a whole new world for me. My favorite book right now is Echo Mountain by Lauren Wolk!
So happy for your new magical adventure, Lexie!!! I have been considering purchasing this edition of Howl's Moving Castle!! There is a beautiful interview of Diana Wynne Jones where she lovingly talks about her book. I've always wanted to read it!! I would say Anne of Green Gables is my favorite...I mean Gilbert Blythe!!! Have a wonderful time planning your club!! @thepaperballet 💕
I'm so excited for this bookclub! My favorite middle-grade book is also one I think would work well for the bookclub - The Thing About Jellyfish by Ali Benjamin. It's one of my all-time favorites!
My favorite middle grade is definitely Small Space by Katherine Arden. Such a beautiful, creepy, atmospheric read. I loved the message of friendship as well as the message of hope during a grieving process.
So exciting! I haven’t read very many middle grade books just dipping my toes in now.. half way through Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series and am currently loving it! 💕💕
I'm so excited to take part in this!!! I also don't have any socials, so if there is any other way to updates please let me know!!! One of my favorite middle grades is Walking With Miss Millie by Tamara Bundy. Its about a young girl named Alice who moves to Rainbow, Georgia with her mom and brother who is deaf. Long story short, she starts to walk with her neighbor Miss Millie and her dog Clarence and Alice gets to learn more about her dad that left. It's a very short and sweet coming of age book.
I can’t wait for your book club and I love middle grade novels they are such a nice escape from the regular world. I love the name of your book club and omg I can’t wait for and describe how excited I am. I just can’t wait!! I love your channel a lot and I’m so happy I’m the first commenter yayayayayayayayay!!!! I don’t read much middle grade but have wanted to pick it up more especially watching your channel and as my daughter gets older and is starting to enjoy chapter books. I’m not sure which of these count as middle grade but I love The Chronicles of Narnia, A little princess, Misty of Chincoteague, sideway stories from wayside school, Anne of green gables, and redwall series by Brian Jacques. At least one of those count right?! Lol

Yay! So happy. Absoloutly adore both your channels & middle grade! Match made in heaven. (From the UK so can't enter but thought I'd join in with questions.) My favourite MG (so hard to pick) is The Turnaway Girls by Hayley Chewins. Her writing practically sings. It's so beautiful & empowering & unique. Think you would love it! And a book rec for the book club would be..The Sisters of Straygarden Place (which comes out in October), The Unadoptables (which comes out in June) or The Forest of Stars (which comes out in September.) So many more! But think these would be super magical. 🥰💕✨🧚

I just ordered Howl's as I really enjoyed the movie, and my kids love Studio Ghibli. I am international so sadly I cannot enter to win this first giveaway but hopefully I can make it to the live show! :)
My favorite middle grade books are the Bunnicula series. I also really liked The Phantom Toll Booth and Where The Red Fern Grows. @ErinReve for Twitter and erin.reve.fox for Instagram

I love everything about this!!! The name and the cozy vibes! I've been wanting to read Howl's Moving Castle as well and that version that you have is beautiful!!!! I also love the idea of baking and slumber party vibes! My favorite middle grade series was the Goosebumps. I just love the spooky and not scary vibes it gave. That would be fun to do during October for the nostalgia vibes. My favorite stand alone was Stargirl. That one was absolutely adorable! My instagram is @jessilynn317
I know you’ve already read a Pinch of Magic, but would love to read that as a book club pic after it comes out later this year in the US Hardcover version since you love it so :) @ambernicolebromet Instagram
My favorite Middle grade book is The Wide Awake Princess by E.D. Baker. It was the book that really got me into reading. It is so whimsical and wonderful and I still read it at least once a year. Instagram: @DandelionSprout
My favorite Middlegrade had to be Skeleton Creek by Patrick Carmen since it was the series that got me into reading and I love it so much. Oh also my Instagram is @Alimoo115 and my Twitter is @AlimooPt2.

Ahh! This is so exciting! My favorite middle grade is the Fablehaven series, I grew up with them and I'm really excited to read the spin-off series. handle on insta and twitter is @managedbybooks
I love that you're doing this because middle grade is an audience that I'd like to get into more. I like the idea of alternating between "classic" middle grade and more contemporary middle grade. Like maybe Matilda by Roald Dahl and The School of Good and Evil by Soman Chainani as a pairing? Also, my handle for Insta and twitter is @CaitlinEMcCann.
Super Excited to follow along!! A book that you guys should read for the book club is “See you in the Cosmos” by Jack Cheng! (my instagram is @briannamai)

You should totally have us all make punch during the live video...ya know, like we are drinking from a stream!
OH MY GOD CUTE!!!
