I think it's very important that parents teach their children how to approach a dog and it's a change I'm seeing happening in real time in my area. My dog is kind of fearful but not aggressive and she's not used to kids, but I can read her bodylanguage pretty well, so if a child asks if they can pet her and Coco doesn't actively shy away from them, I say "of course you can and I'll show you how best to pet her". I've never seen anyone know how to read an Akita that well. He was mostly grumbles but you took your time with him.
He’s very cute. I love how his ears move forward when he’s upset!
Aki: "Low and behold, another groomer who thinks she's in charge..."🤨
Akitas seem to always have the father's disapproving frown at a parent-teacher meeting 😅😂🥰
🤣🤣
I’m glad you where able to make it out of there with out a scratch
Japanese Akitas are one of my favorite dogs. They are cute and have a lot of attitude.
Must be an acquired taste
Japanese Akita is sooooo cute!!🥰
0:10 He's going down, he's yelling Timber
He’d better move, he’d better dance
His grumbling in the shower while you were trying to blow dry him was very funny.
Such a good boy and so gentle taking treats even though he doesn't like being touched. Thank you as always for showing such compassion to reactive dogs xxx
I was walking down the street one day, and could definitely visibly see the angry expression on a similar dogs face. Someone was trying to get close to him moments later, and the dog was not feeling it. So expressive !
All I'm saying is, this Akita does *not* have an attitude problem! Akita inu, most of the time, function as guard dogs, whether they've been trained as such or not. Many of them would *not* have let a stranger groom them like this. He was such a good boy!
Kinda surprised to see a prong collar on this channel.
He was brought with the prong collar and Vanessa for sure couldn't remove it. ☹️
She didn't put it on him, it's the dog's own collar that he came in with. She says in the video that he wouldn't allow her to take it off
I hope Vanessa educated the owner...the poor dog is set up to be reactive.
Akitas remind me of the story of Hachiko the loyal dog. Literally cried watching Hachiko.
Was that the dog who came to visit his owner at the train station even after the owner died?
So did I. It was so sad.
Oh that’s because Hachiko was an akita
@@LeGheyTrashI thought he was a shibu inu
@@1faithchick7I looked it up, says akita
That’s my purse! I don’t know you!! 😂
*proceeds to kick in the nuts*
Absolutely adore that King of the Hill reference that's my favorite 😍
There are good reasons why spiked collars are illegal to use in some countries.
I love their loyal temperament but theyre so standoffish to other people outside their family lol
He's a tough one to work with, but you got him through at least a bath and blow dry. That's an achievement with this one.
Such a cute but challenging customer~😅
Thank you for sharing this video~🤗
He’s gorgeous.
He’s BEAUTIFUL ! I LOVE AKITAS ❤️🔥. SO MAJESTIC & ROYAL!
You are the best groomer ever. 😊
