They're a primitive dog breed, them and shiba inu are the most recent dog breeds to offshoot from wolves. Hence, they're more "catlike" than other dog breeds. Rescues have so much to give, if we’ll just give them a chance! Yay,for you Yogi!!! 🐾💕🙌🏻
I have a genuine question, Vanessa: having spent 12 years grooming animals, most of whom require extensive combing and brushing, and most of whom have dense, long, fluffy coats that take a lot of work, how are you not absolutely shredded from all the toil you put yourself through?! Your work ethic is immense, and it's clearly a labor of love for you: many rounds of "apaws"
I had a Japanese Akita. Her name was Gypsy. She loved us so much. But her temperament to other people was so aggressive. She was massive and very protective. She was too strong for her own good. I loved her very much. She was black, gray, and white. She never snapped or tried to bite us but she did not like other people.
Sorry to say, but is she was black grey and white she was certainly an American Akita, as black or grey are not colours the Japanese Akita has. They only come in brindle (like the dog in the video) or in red, both brindle and red have Urajiro (the white markings on face, chest and feet) or pure white.

You are just the best! I admire the way you adjust to each pets’ personality and needs. He’s sooooo fluffy! And cute! So thankful that he gets a second chance with a family. My Andee was in the system for a year and a half before we adopted her. No one wanted her because of her timidity. She was going to be put down the following week. I believe with all my heart that the Lord put us together! She lived thirteen years and learned to trust us. She helped me through six years of cancer and became my rock.

He looks absolutely beautiful and the look on his face at the end said that he was just fine (after the treat obvs 😉).
