The healing of the blind man should call forth the creation of man from the dirt. The blind man had no eyes, but Christ forms balls of clay from the ground and places them in the empty sockets, creating eyes for the blind man. The water into wine story also should reveal that Christ is in control of creation, for continuously God mysteriously transforms water turns into wine through grapes: water feeds grapes which transforms the water into wine - and Christ can perform that process instantaneously. Also the connection between the Samaritan woman at the well with Hagar at the well is worth pointing out.
I thought about Hagar in relation to the Samaritan woman at the well the other day. Both were seen by god at at well. I just happened to check comments on this video that I haven't watched in a while and found your comment. Very thought provoking. Thanks for your insight.

Tim, thanks for this lecture. The bit with Jesus and Mary at the tomb is interesting, and Mary not being allowed to touch him may have something to do with the nature of holiness as being set apart. Mary (from marah - rebellion, to be contentious or rebellious) seems to be playing the part of Israel (Isaiah 30) and Jesus the part of husband or Ishi (Hosea 2). The narrative of this moment is in tune with Hosea 3, in that the price was paid, but there is still time to wait before things are restored. 15 pieces of silver + an homer and a half of barley is roughly equal to 30 pieces of silver.
