They’ve always had chicken. In the late 70’s & early 80’s I would go to the York Steakhouse in Toledo, OH with my parents all the time and I only ever got the chicken. It was my favorite!
I didn't know there was one still open! I worked at York Steakhouse - Saginaw MI back in 1978-79. I'll be going to this one in June. Thanks for posting!
We stopped there this past summer after my son was finished with his bowling tournament at HP Lanes. Used to have them in Cleveland so has been a long time since I ate at a York. I was very pleased with my meal. Will go back again next time we are in Columbus. Beats the meals at the Hollywood!
Did they at least have the dessert at the end before u pay? Haven’t been to one since Methuen Massachusetts which has been a long time ago. We plan on making the trip to Ohio during the end of summer.
Good morning Ed and Michelle. Thank you so much for the York Steakhouse review. The setup reminded us of the Ponderosa Steakhouse. That was many moons ago; I believe they’re all closed now. Thanks for sharing you guys!
The reason York Steakhouse didn't survive was restaurants like Ponderosa and Longhorn were to much competition. They thought moving into malls would help. It didn't.
Stopped here about 2 years ago for dinner and met with the owner manager who has a long history with the franchise - the chicken tasted the same as I remember from almost 40 years ago (how can that be). If you enjoyed York Steak House and are driving through Columbus Ohio stop in and enjoy the food and say hello to the owner.
Great review Ed and Michelle! I just ate but watching that made me hungry again. Lol The food looked amazing, I'm not a big pork chop person, but the pic on the sign at the beginning looked delicious. Enjoyed watching my friends!
@@thegreatindoorswithedandmi7880 It's BARELY a steak-house anymore. I mean, they sell steaks, but it is like 90% a salad bar type place now (like Golden Corral). Don't bother.
Hi guys, thank you for the fun review today. It has been ions years since I have eaten there! Been to that exact steak house. Hard to believe it is the last one. How time change! Happy Friday Guys! Keep Spinning and Winning....Cheers 🥂 🍾 🥳
You've both done a great video! So many memories of this restaurant in Dartmouth, Mass. Too bad I'm 760 miles away from Ohio.
Unfortunately that location is closed however we have a new ponderosa video coming out soon from Columbus ohio
@@thegreatindoorswithedandmi7880 Oh awesome ! I'm looking forward to seeing it. Thanks

I cooked at the York Steakhouse at the Euclid square mall. It was amazing...it started my culinary career.
I swear the one I used to go to was at Southgate.
What was the chicken recipe?
Worked at Middleburg Hrs location
Middleburg Heights Ohio

@@thegreatindoorswithedandmi7880 yeah we would get my grandparents and go. They lived up the hill off euclid ave
The York Steakhouse was in Euclid Ohio at the Euclid Square mall.
I remember that I lived in Willowick.
I still remember the taste if the fries with gravy in the Dundalk MD Eastpoint Mall location. Probably late 80s. Thanks for the heads up
Oh and the chocolate pudding. How could I forget the pudding?!

It's a better value as well. Thanks for watching.
What happened to the dessert? Did they have any? My favorite was the chocolate pudding.
No dessert we were full🙂

I remember going to the one in methuen Massachusetts in the late 70s early 80s with my parents. Loved it
This was the third York Steak House to open in 1969
Remember when they gave you the plastic number on your tray for the meat?
I see that now at Culver's
They changed the salad bar because of Covid.
Really? Thanks for the FYI. Have a awesome week!

Chicken was part of the original menu. It was actually honey glazed chicken. You could get half or quarter.
I worked there and really miss it.

Just like the old Sizzlere and Golden Cireal
I would have gotten the ribeye also. Do you ever go to big boy restaurants?
I love Big Boy. I remember when it was called Manners .
I kept waiting for an Ed and Michelle shout-out, but it never came. 😢
Sorry Freddy I was really just trying to stay calm during the video. I was getting distracted by other customers. It was chaotic.
