A quick note: I don't want what's said in the video to come across as somehow preachy - along the lines of "I've done it, now I'll teach you how to do it". - by no means - I'm talking to you, friend to friend, and as friends we know that sometimes just sharing with each other is enough to find our own way out of our challenges - I believe that we all have the ability to overcome life challenges from within ourselves - love Maki 🪷🥰🌱
Thanks 😊soul sis…. I feel so connected to you😮 for some reason. I have dealt with similar thoughts (ego) then over burn myself with self dough. Yikes! I guess I have to embrace that iam a multidimensional creative beign I cannot judge it. But love it and have more compassion towards my heart.
Felt like a conversation with a friend. I ask those same questions, I appreciate that the UNIVERSE is putting this out as an important message and we are just willing to be quiet enough to hear it. Great B-Rolll BTW!!🧡✨🧡
Your Safe Space Studio is such a wonderful & unique idea! One year ago I found your videos here on UA-cam and they helped me a lot to overcome selfdoubting and finding joy again in creating art for myself! It’s beautiful that you‘re back and doing well! As an Art Therapy Student I‘m learning that trusting the process is essential - in our society we often only focus on the result… I remember being a child - creating art was peaceful, exciting and I never wanted to stop…! :) We all can re-learn how to love and accept ourselves and kindly let go the version of us being afraid of other opinions! It is not easy, especially when our head told us we‘re not good enough for so long! But I believe in the healing journey and sending so much love to every artist around here
my kindest Magdalena, your words made me smile sooo big, because I felt sooo connected to everything you said ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you first of all for enjoying this new format! 🥹 that makes me really, really happy, that you feel connected to it ❤️ secondly, I‘m sooo deeply grateful that my videos were of help to you to overcome your self-doubt and finding joy in creating for yourself 😭🪷✨ this makes me soooo happy and grateful ❤️ I LOVE that you are a art therapy student, you are on your way to do such important work and giving people a space to heal with the help of art 🥹🙏✨ thank you for doing that! Thank you for sharing all your beautiful thoughts with me, for watching and spending your beautiful time with me ❤️❤️❤️ I‘m sending you my BIGGEST HUG ❤️🍀🪷 love Maki 🌷🪷🌱
this is exactly what i was looking for as i'm getting back into watercolor. Love your stories and encouragement. Excited to get back to creating more consistently and i think this channel will definitely help me!
HII, WELCOME and SOO HAPPYYY that you want to get back into watercolor!! 😍❤️🌷 YOU GO GIRL! DO THE WORK THAT MAKES YOUR HEART HAPPY AND CREATE THE PAINTINGS THAT MAKE YOU SMILE ❤️ thank you for joining me 🥹🪷🍀
It was quite heartbreaking to hear that you had difficult moments where you were alone, i hope and wish you are surrounded by loving and understanding people in the future ❤️ Thanks for sharing your experience and tips to fight self-doubt, take care.
thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words 🌷 it truly means a lot to me. those moments of feeling alone were hard, but reading messages like yours reminds me of the kindness and care in the world ❤️ thank you for your warmth and for wishing me love and understanding-it means so much 🌸 take care of yourself too! love, maki ❤️✨
Hi Maki. Such a lovely, caring and supportive message on today's video. I have struggled with self doubt my entire life and it effects my ability to be creative. I have to work on myself with saying it's just paper and just for fun and practice. And yes, I'm worth it.😊 thanks for being such a wonderful, positive presence on the internet. I appreciate that you are sharing your own struggles with us.
my kindest Susan, Thank YOU for sharing your own struggles with me - I witness your effort to be compassionate with yourself and I feel sooo happy for your inner-self for having YOU as a companion! 🥹❤️🍀 Your awareness about your thoughts and feelings is a HUGE, if not the most important step forward, for you to heal and change the things that are holding you back! YOU are so POWERFUL! YOU are so PRESENT! I KNOW that YOU can create the change within yourself for self-doubt to get smaller and smaller ❤️❤️❤️ I SEND YOU ALL MY LOVE DEAR SUSAN ❤️🌞🍃
It's so good to see you back creating!!! Thanks for a very encouraging and beautiful video!!! As someone who's probably one of your older subscribers, I'm 50, I tried thinking back to a time when I felt I wasn't good enough, or not good at all. I think for me, drawing has always been an outlet. I drew when things were fine and going well, but I also drew when things weren't going so well, or maybe when I was sad or depressed. For me, it was like eating food or breathing oxygen. So, while I don't think there was a time where I didn't feel good enough, I know there were times when I recognized that there were those considerably better than me,...better artists. Even now, at 50, I'll see artists' work that I feel is so much better than mine, and those artists are half my age, or even younger 😂😂😂. That can be a little disheartening, but I always remind myself that I can only do MY best,...not someone else's best. I also remind myself that even if my skills improved 100%, there would always still be people whose skills are better than mine. So, again, I continually try to do MY best,...not someone else's best. Your work and your words are beautiful, encouraging, and reassuring. I look forward to many more videos, so I can learn from you, and create alongside you. 😊😊😊
my kindest Norrin, your words touched my heart so deeply, and I had the biggest smile while reading your beautiful comment-thank you for sharing so much of yourself with me! 🥹❤️ I love how you described your connection to drawing, how it’s been a constant companion in both good and challenging times 🙏🌱 That image of art being as natural and essential as breathing or eating is just so beautiful and so true! 🥹 It’s incredible how art can ground us, heal us, and bring us back to ourselves 🌻 I truly admire your perspective about doing YOUR best and not comparing yourself to others. That mindset is so powerful and inspiring, and it’s such a gift that you’ve shared it here 🥹🙏 It’s a reminder we all need, no matter where we are in our creative journey!Thank you for watching, for connecting, and for taking the time to write such a beautiful message. You inspire me right back! 🥹🍀 I can’t wait to create more videos that we can experience together. Sending you my warmest hug and all my love! ❤️🌻🌸 Love Maki
@makisa.f Hi Maki, Thanks for your reply to my message. I truly appreciate it. I agree with you,...when you're a lifelong artist, letting our creativity loose definitely grounds us, heals us, and if we feel lost for a period of time, it can bring us back to ourselves. I'm glad that some of my thoughts resonated with you and maybe even touched your heart and soul. We as artists are such deep, feeling, and passionate people. I think only we as artists truly understand each other 😆😆😆. But, that's ok. As long as we come together, share with one another, and keep creating, I think we'll be alright ☺️☺️☺️. I did send an email with some pages from the project I'm currently working on, and I just finished a picture I started while watching your last video. Maybe, I'll send that in a future email. All My Best to you, and hoping your weekend is full of art and beauty. Hugs right back to you!!! 🤗 🤗 🤗
ohh you are soooo welcomed! 😭❤️ thank YOU for sitting across from me and joining me for this session ❤️❤️❤️ You are not alone with your feelings and I witness your effort to create change within yourself ❤️❤️❤️
LOVE this so much. I keep asking folks to find a place to celebrate that creative part of them. It doesn't have to be just art, I think it's whatever makes your heart SING!!! Though like you, I personally find that ART is a means to have those non verbal conversations with ourselves all the while admiring our growth and always seeing our potential. I appreciate that you too are putting out the call for creativity. I honestly think it is the Key to deep healing and allowing us all to connect with that child inside of us, that I believe is the "Spark" of our soul. Great presentation, I really appreciate the message and the solid content. BRAVO! Love seeing expand in their growth and being witness to it, Thank you!🧡✨🧡
New subscriber here. This is an appropriate topic. I appreciate your way of initiating this topic and how you are incorporating it into a quiet, sit down, conversation.
Hi Makisa, I have just come across your channel and I don't often comment on videos but I want to say that I really hope you get the amazing recognition that you deserve, not only for your artwork but for you as a person. It really comes across in this video how kind and caring you are and that you have come far regarding mental struggles and no doubt other areas in your life. I love the art you have created here and dispite already learning these techniques in the past during therapy etc this reminder has come at a very much needed time. I want to deeply thank you. Warmest hugs and best wishes

Thank you so much for this video. What an amazing message and you delivered it in such a calming away. Your art is beautiful and so is your heart. You're getting a sub from me. ❤️
I have decided to not push myself. If I want to create something I wait until I can do it joyfully from inspiration. If I'm not inspired or joyful about it, I will clean my studio or something and maybe that will get me inspired
YOU are soooo welcomed dear Nesrina ❤️❤️❤️ I wish you ALL the creative energy that is out there so that you can create again the way you wish for ❤️❤️❤️
I think i first experienced doubt when i was 8 year or so. I have a syndrome and when i was young i talked nasally. Someone made comments about that and that hit me. It wasn't even that harsh comments but it really had an impact. And since then also my art and my life. I'm afraid to try. I'm afraid to fail. Artwise, i also feel guilty of squandering markers, good marker paper, etc. That voice in my head indeed 😞
my kindest finjie, thank you so much for sharing your story with me 🌷 it’s such a brave and vulnerable thing to do, and I want to honor that. those words from your childhood-I can feel how much they’ve stayed with you. sometimes even the smallest comments can have such a big impact, especially when we’re young and still learning how to see ourselves. it sounds like those feelings of doubt have been with you for a long time, both in life and in your art. that must feel so heavy at times. I just want to say, your openness here is so meaningful. I can feel the care and thought you’ve put into expressing this, and that means so much. I also want to thank you for sharing about your voice-it’s something so personal and vulnerable 🪷🙏 I hope you know that your voice, in all its forms, is something so precious, and it’s an honor to hear it here in your words ❤️ I’m holding so much space for you, for all the feelings you’ve shared. sending you the biggest hug ❤️ and gentle encouragement for whenever you feel ready to pick up those markers or try something creative again. but no rush-your journey is yours to take at your own pace 🌷 love, maki ❤️✨
Hello Maki 😘, your videos are truly moments of comfort that bring me peace and keep anxiety away. We are never fully satisfied with what we produce, I think that is part of the very definition of the artist. There is always better than oneself and even if we progress and reach the desired level, a new level appears to us while we immediately wish to reach. I am currently in art block and maybe this video will give me the courage to pick up a pencil or a pen (I hope). I also thank Google for providing me with a tool that translates my comment in French into an English that, I hope, is sufficiently understandable. my kindest Dominique, your words brought so much warmth to my heart-thank you for sharing them with me! 🌷✨ It means the world to know that my videos can be of comfort for you and help ease anxiety 💖 what you said about never being fully satisfied as part of the artist’s journey feels so true.. That constant search for the “next level” can be both frustrating and beautiful, can’t it? 🌱 I deeply admire your self-awareness and honesty about this process my kindest Dominique! I’m so sorry to hear that you’re in an art block right now 😔🌷 I‘M SENDING YOU ALL THE CREATIVE ENERGY THAT IS IUT THERE! If you do create something, please send me your creative work -I’d LOVE to see it! 🥰🥹 as for creating at the same time as me, please don’t worry at all about that 💕 I’m so grateful that you take the time to watch my videos and engage with them, even with subtitles. It’s so kind of you to put in the extra effort 😭❤️ And your English here is perfectly understandable-you’ve expressed yourself beautifully! 🥹 I’m sending you lots of love ❤️ the biggest hug 🤗 and a little courage to pick up your pencil when you’re ready ❤️❤️ Please take your time, be gentle with yourself, and let your creativity come back when it’s ready 🌟 Love, Maki ❤️🌷✨
I really can’t document to show what I do. I counsel people, and in the beginning, I doubted my effectiveness I came to realize the more I know about what I speak the more confident I became. In the beginning I would dread having a group and how I would lead the group I’ve since learned to help them lead themselves and that’s been a big change also.
thank you so much for sharing this with me 🌷 it’s incredible to hear about your journey as a counselor and how you’ve grown in confidence over time. I deeply admire the work you do-it’s so meaningful and impactful to guide others, especially in such a compassionate way 🥹🪷 that shift you described, from dreading leading a group to learning how to help them lead themselves, is such a powerful realization. it sounds like you’ve not only grown in your role but also found a way to empower others in theirs 🌱 what an amazing transformation 🙏 thank you again for sharing this-it’s so inspiring to hear about your journey. I’m sending you my warmest hugs and so much gratitude for the work you do ❤️ love, maki ❤️✨

If I do, I will send you the drawing!😉 Unfortunately, I am unable to create at the same time as you because my English being what it is, I am forced to read the subtitles provided by YT if I want to understand what you are talking about and they scroll very quickly! I also thank Google for providing me with a tool that translates my comment in French into an English that, I hope, is sufficiently understandable. I am so admiring of your free way of creating, you seem not to care at all about the final result and this gives your works a spontaneity and a magnificent freshness in addition to a truly personal style😍. I send you lots of kisses.🥰😘😘😘
my kindest Dominique, your words brought so much warmth to my heart-thank you for sharing them with me!

I deeply admire the work you do-it’s so meaningful and impactful to guide others, especially in such a compassionate way 🥹🪷 that shift you described, from dreading leading a group to learning how to help them lead themselves, is such a powerful realization. it sounds like you’ve not only grown in your role but also found a way to empower others in theirs 🌱 what an amazing transformation 🙏
thank you again for sharing this-it’s so inspiring to hear about your journey. I’m sending you my warmest hugs and so much gratitude for the work you do ❤️

Don't dwell on things you can't change, instead, look straight ahead. My statement sounds arrogant. I apologize.
