Hello Professor Heather Thank you so much for this training! I work as a transition counselor with teenage and young adult clients who are blind and visually impaired learning skills to get and maintain work. Your videos have been very informative and it helped me with several of my trainings this year. My clients have really appreciated your insights as well. My biggest takeaway from this training was the idea to open two tabs to the Bureau of Labor Statistics and on one get information on a desired job and in the other information on what it takes to get that job. Thank you! Cory

I’m super happy I changed completely M I made a decision to quit corporate and become a digital nomad. Then I made a plan and made the transition But I never took a leap! No way, A plan and actionable steps are crucial if you want to keep money coming in.
One of the biggest mistakes I see with my clients is they try making too big of a "jump" when changing careers. For example, if you work in accounting but want to work in marketing, you usually can't make that change right away. If you want to avoid going back to school, you'll need to find an intermediate job that helps you bridge that skill/experience gap. This where working with a career coach can help!
Great insights! You’re so spot on about the time it takes to make a full career transition. Bridging the gap is an important part of the process. Thanks fo sharing. What topics do you have coming out on your channel in the near future?
@@ProfessorHeatherAustin Thank you! My videos this month will be on signs you shouldnt work for a company, understanding equity compensation, and how to connect with powerful people on LinkedIn. I'd love to collab with you on a video one day!
