sometimes her dialogue reminds me of GTA characters lol
lol i was just about to write this
Same 😆
NPCish
💀💀💀
You mean that teenish undesirable upward inflection from the valley …. “So like anyway, I was like at band camp, and like, omg even ….”
Terry, whatever camera set-up you've been using recently has really been popping off and feels somewhere between a movie and actually being there.
Well done
You can see from the shadows in this one that it's a gopro on a gimbal on a helmet. Just wish I had his brain and knew all his settings
@@jetthepanda I thought he was shooting on a fx3
How is the camera setup ?
Nah real life has much worse audio quality
Several years ago he showed his setup at that time, a Feiyu WG2X gimbal bolted to a helmet with a Gopro. Guessing he's using a ND filter for slower shutter speeds and a wireless mic with deadcat for noise reduction.
Makes you realize how easy it would be to get around if there were not any cars
Now we’re getting it
Come to Netherlands
While Netherlands is planning a bicycle friendly city, America is only thinking about cars. That's sad😢
Not the cars. You got no biking infrastructure.
Biking was such a dream when the pandemic hit. Almost zero cars taking up space and blowing fumes. So quiet you could hear a pin drop.
this type of thing on youtube is hypnotic ... would be great to see riding around the backstreets of Osaka, Girona, Asunción, Tampere...wherever, it's just feel-good escapism
GTA pedestrians "Aah!" at 10:03
"excuse me"
"AHHH"
Damn, GTA really nailed the NPCs lol
I just came around your channel with this video in my feed and as an average cyclist, I enjoy all the wide angles you get to make us feel immersive and part of it like we're right there with you.
Terry's so good at riding with that setup, and audio is divine
agree! yo terry is there a gear update?
NYC is so crazy for biking. I'm way out in the sticks of the Midwest. You might see one cop while you're out riding. There is one in every frame of the video. I'd love to visit just to ride and see the cycling culture there. Love these types of videos - nice job!
Nyc fixie riding is heaven if youre a junkie about it. Imo the sketchier the traffic is the more fun finding ways to find a way through. Idc if its dangerous its so fun.
The traffic is so bottlenecked that it gives cycling a greater glory. Riding is great but, riding faster than cars is the cats ass.
Terry, I love the positivity of your videos. I'm a fat middle-aged dude, not as fearless as your subjects, but when I am on my purple fixie I feel like I am more connected with New York than when I'm on foot, subway, bus, cab or car. These videos are inspiring.
Wabi?
@@dipdip7250 Yes and I love it. I drove from Brooklyn to Philadelphia to buy it used. My daughters landlord told me, "if I ever wanted to do it with a bicycle it would be yours" Kinda weird, but the hype is real.
@@peterbooth6753it really is. I have a Wabi Thunder and it's by far the best steel frame I've ever ridden
Honestly, the views at the end were immaculate. Looked like a really good day to ride.
I think i'm in love...
Great vid as usual Terry, thanks!
Aiyana is a very funny person and a great rider! Great video Terry!
Has a total video game vibe and look. Crazy!
I am from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. But do you have a death wish or something..? It's amazing how you can bike so fearless. especially in a country that is so not used to bikers. But deep respect. Godspeed
Thats nothing. check other videos of the guy to see what is death wish
First thing I thought, seeing her riding that horrible bike lane
NYC is its own world. The city makes an effort to install bicycle infrastructure, but motorists disregard it. They don’t watch for cyclists and they tend to park in the bike paths. So riders there tend to fend for themselves in the streets and disregard motorist laws altogether
@@Leviajohnson The disrespect is apparently mutual. The number of times they rode red lights is astonishing.
@@violentfox red lights are for cars
Beautiful work dog. The mixture of bike content and artistic filming is awesome
Not many riders can do this, so smooth and fluid with all of these dangerous obstacles (cars) everywhere..........amazing
with no brakes either..hope its a good helmet
Great vibes!! Aiyana you are awesome, had a blast riding with you last weekend! Terry it was a pleasure meeting you as well ✌🏻
Hi
When she said that at 4:20 I nearly cried. I live in New Orleans, and that road looks like heaven to me
Great camera work, man. So smooth, damn!
If you're ever in stuart, fl , check out the Roosevelt Bridge. It's about six times the length of the Brooklyn Bridge in addition to a 30 Degree incline. Definitely a workout.
The choreograph between the rider and videographer is amazing! Aiyana is gorgeous! Xo
I wanna thank you the algorithm for bringing this awesome channel and video to this little Brazilian guy ❤
As a teenager I was a bike messenger in New York City and you ride like a city girl. Just keep riding the way you do because you are your own judge of your safety.
I want Aiyana to be the protagonist in a NY-themed GTA title
First video I seen of you guys... LOVE IT :)
did i just watch the most cyberpunk vlog ive ever seen?
It felt so weird, the camera is so alive, and the fact that this is a person walking around the town talking to a drone, wow
What drone are you talking about? She has a person filming her with a 360 cam on a helmet, lol
This is beautifully shot, exceptional work all round 👏👏👏
Fun and freedom on a bike! The bridge shots were amazing.
WHAT BRIDGE IS THAT??????
@@704JOEEd Koch Queensborro Bridge. It’s west end, where Aiyana started, is near the south end of Central Park.
Riding a bicycle in Manhattan during covid when there was no car is probably one of the coolest experience one could have.
NY is giving such good vibes when you cycle there, nice weather, it's quiet even, can hear the people chatter. Love from cold and very messed up infrastructure Warsaw.
Great camerawork Terry!
such smooth riding and camera work. good job. looks super warm there. u would never realise its october 😃🚲
Enjoyed watching this. Thx for vid! The uphills seems like they're flat especially on the bridge. Probably why some people saying shes slow. IMO shes a great rider!
Ha ha, I took the same route yesterday. Bringing back memories.
“Every lane is bike lane… if you make it one” - Aiyana
Every WHERE is a bike lane, ya.
Loving the sounds and the flow
Awesome! I am riding again, this is motivation while I am at work. To be honest, I want to leave work now lol. Luv the content.
Damn bro, she definitely puts the hot in hotline. Great vid as always Terry 💪
When you got it, flaunt it.
man she bad, I see her all the time riding around st. pete. been trying to talk to her but never works out but I hope oneday it does.
@@TheFloridaBikeVloggerBad as a mothaf. Biking and a baddie is a combo I didn't know I would enjoy.
Such a beautiful bridge crossing! Need to get out there with kid in tow.
I do the Williamsburg bridge 5days a week on a bike. It’s not so much steep gradient as it is looooooong on the way up into Brooklyn. She made it look nearly effortless.
Nice! I was a Bicycle & or Motorcycle Messenger in SF for awhile(10 on the peddle things, 6 on the motos). I've never been to NYC. You love to see it.
Aiyana has quite a flow... I could watch her cycling the whole Tour de France! Keep it up!
It was 15 minutes and it ended too soon. This was incredible.
More to come
Very well shot. This is beautiful. Love how you guys just flow through traffic seamlessly. Looks exciting! It's almost enough to make me wanna' visit. 😂😅
Man that's a hell of a view crossing that bridge. The city looks pretty good too.
same, i remember biking through the city towards the beginning of lockdown. The city felt like i was in the movie, I Am Legend except substitute the zombies for crackheads cause thats legit all you saw out.. It was so eerie but cool
This episode brings to mind a few lines from Sandlot:
"She don't know what she's doin'."
"Yeah, she does. She knows exactly what she's doin'." 😅
great color great camerawork. so many dope stills in this too
That bike was meant for her and great camera work, feels like a movie.
Shes great. Chill. Reasonable. Slows down for pedestrians. Doesnt scream at ppl crossing the road. Fixed done right.
Much easier than a lot of cities that have hills, I see why it's so popular there.
gotta admit I was quite reluctand to watch this video because I kind of didnt like her because of her attitude on some reels I'd seen but men she's cool, I'm glad I watched this... BTW man the quality is outstanding, I loved it so much, the motion blurr the lut, everything!
I think one of her favorite things in life is the "haters"
Why
lolol
no
Definitely seems like someone who enjoys being mildly provocative and free-spirited lol
Man, I can watch her ride all day lol. So pretty and smooth style of riding. And 'yes' to running reds, unless it's some crazy situation....maybe. Haha
Man nothing to say but really love the ride through bridges its just awesome and the video feels like i am riding through there
What are advantages compared to singlespeed? I have one and I really love it, but can't imagine riding it all day and pushing the pedals without stopping even on downhill routes
Footage is So darn smooth! Impressive 👌
She's giving good vibes 😊I'm sure she's very fast when she wants to be. I kinda want that kask helment now 👀 Awesome camera work! Your video always looks so high quality 😍
Wow amazing quality video!!
Beautiful woman, beautiful montage, beautiful track.
New York Streets have mostly filled with potholes. I miss the city but , the rents is insanely expensive.
0:59 BRO ME TOO! I was cruising at 35-40 on my was home from work and a car abruptly cut across 2 lanes of traffic and the bike lane I was riding in.. I plowed directly into his passenger door.. there was no where else I could have gone. I tried to stop, but he was just suddenly there, so.. I remember seeing the guy's daughter in the passenger seat with a look of terror as I slammed into it. Luckily I didn't break anything on that wreck.
“Every lane is a bike lane”
Cool riding. Crazy drivers. I’d ride my Marin Bobcat 5 through NY. A hardtail. Good luck.
1:08 yeahhh
2:08 Doesn't red light in US apply to cyclist as well? Great video, as if I was riding with this nice lady.
Of course it does. This video is showing some very care-free people in that regard lool
Yes I go through stops and red lights, I whip my head left and right fast enough to just get a glimpse of a cars coming but enough to acknowledge what’s going on, I time it right through experience
Somewhere above, old Darwin is hovering with a prize
5:23 "If you think about it a bike is really the most efficient way to get around in this city"
TRUE.
Never saw anyone ride a fixed gear better, so smooth and relaxed while spinning through the NYC battleground no less. Stay safe!
Cool video i just got a bike like that . think it has fixey. Cant wait to see what i can do with no brakes. New bars. . fixer upper . can't wait. Its so hot out though.. Lol 😆
fuck the haters. if you can stay out of the bike lane without slowing down vehicular traffic, do it. i got doored in chicago going about 15 mph and it was bad. i take the full street whenever i can so i'm not on constant scan for a random door popping open.
She is a character, gotta love her
I'm out in so-so Cal seeing her ride in traffic ❤... with FUNNY commentary. Wonderful 😊
You remind me of me i ride everyday to work and all around the city in LA 🤣🤣💀💀 no gear fixie go thru red lights love your content keep it up 💯💯👏👏😤💪
Man that View and Vibe, just riding your bike. It can be so easy!
Please please please, what was that bridge from 10mins..? Lovely smooth footage too.. 👍🏻
williamsburg bridge
that feeling of pedaling more with hopes that it'll sooth the pain for going up a slope with a single speed
How can we compare it to 3x7 gears in MTB?
Wow Aiyana you doing a great ride on that bike. I'm 67 and I'm doing the same thing in Nassau, Bahamas traffic. Your'e an inspiration to others thanks again for this video. I also enjoy riding a 20" unicycle when traffic is gridlocked here.
That “whatssuuup” touched my soul
Nice video but I just don't understand something: does the traffic light have no value if you are on bicycle in NYC?
Aside from sucking gas fumes all day, I think this is awesome. Great video! I always judge my bike's setup by riding no-hands. If it's too squirrelly, fahget about it
Hey guys, is there an English term for when you are riding on busy roads, and you have to be dribbling cars and sneaking through tight lines and such? My friends and I call it "ratoneo" which translate to something like "mousing" , imagine the bike will be the mouse running through tight lines while running on the floor.
lane splitting
Impressive ride, excellent cinematografy
Red means go when You know it is safe enough. Does anyone know where I can purchase a rear light that displays a bike lane behind me? When it is dark enough, everywhere is a bike lane.
11:33 hella funny though, that's why gears are bad.
best video series on youtube
How are you filming backwards. Very cool
Aiyana giving the whole commentary while Zoe's just like 🗿
which gimbal are you using?
Love your camera rig. Epic.
Aiyanna
Come check out the trails in Houston.
There are some groups that have done an excellent job with paved trails and off-road trails.
The bike lanes….
They weren’t designed by anyone that’s ever ridden a bike in traffic.
I’ve never ridden a fixie myself.
But I think you would be a challenge to keep up with.
omg that's a very impressive way of filming... couldn't take my eyes off the screen
(and omg y'all are going soo fast and that was very frightening sometimes and whaaaat is that bike bridge? former railway I guess?)
Yea dude! This camera setup is dialed. Feel like I'm watching GTA.
If only I could film mountain biking this way 😫
6:00 my favorite line of the video🤣🤣
What camera used in this video ? Thanx 😊
I been hit twice by motorist (a right hook and a left hook) and both times I was in the bike lane.
where I can buy this white helmet?
Lord have mercy lol great video
you look so cool riding this fixie
