- This video is about my latest Estate Sale find, a vintage sunburst red Le Crueset oven pan. My girlfriend actually found it in a big stack of baking pans hidden at the bottom of the cabinets, and it was covered in grease and needed a bit of help.

oven cleaner came in clutch. you're a genius.
I thought the bottom was made black! Incredible!!👏👏👏 Thank you!
Wow! This video is great. Thank you for this straight forward solution
Thank you. I did this yesterday and it is so much better. I need to work out how to do the handle (and not any any on the inside) and it might need another go over, but it is SO much better for so little effort.
If you have a much bigger pan, you can submerge the pan to be cleaned in oil and "cook it" in Safflower or Peanut Oil at 480F and 430F respectively and it'll just eat that crud right off.
Note that the crud that comes off the pan does change the smoke point of the oil. If doing this in your oven, have a quick check every 5 minutes or so.
Great job and a good garage sale find.
Brilliant - I clean oven shelves and cast iron stuff the same way but I put everything into the shower, and work there, keeps it simple and safe :)
This was very informative! About how long did you leave the EASY OFF on to soak? What about the inside? Was the inside okay?? And Josh, I love that you don’t add unnecessary music! Great video! Thanks so much.
Nicely done. Ty for the video
Well done Josh and thanks
Thank you so much for this information
You are amazing 😻 so grateful
Excellent! And Bravo👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Very nice!!!! This is exactly what I was spooking for!!! I have an enamel cast iron Paul Deen skillet that I can’t get the outside clean on!!! Giving this a try right away!
Omg that is some good asmr right there 🙌🏼✌🏻❤️
Preheating the pan would make it easier.
Soak overnight in a garbage bag . Put the plastic container, pan, and fill with ammonia. It comes off much easier. I clean my oven racks this way. Do it outdoors if possible.
Magic Eraser is great too.
Isn't that abrasive? I wouldn't want to ruin glossy enamel finish of a le creuset piece.
Hey thank you for this video what kind of srubing tool was it that you used?
Its a cloth
Use a plastic butterknife or something of wood
I wish I had watched this first - I’ve just spent an hour with wire wool !
I would like to know the name of the cleaner .Thanks.
It's beautiful but now you'd need to season the exposed cast iron.
Good call
One can use an old credit card to scrape off.
One glove?
And the inside? Where the food is actually cooked? Presumably the lid has been lost.
clearly this pan didn't have a lot of stuff on it if you can remove it that easy. Didn't really need a whole video on how to spray oven cleaner on something. On to the next video!
I'd have prefered to see you employ a sodium hydroxide (aka caustic soda = dangerous stuff) bath in place of the toxic oven cleaner - but any cookware restro is wonderful.
An SOS pad would take that hard stuff off corners real fast.
Do NOT use an SOS pad on Le Creuset. You will damage the enamel. You need to use something non abrasive.
Nope wrong
