It looks nice and I am eager to hear how well it holds up. I didn't find any firm R value insulation info on their website but the implied R value is 3.8 based on their woodenware insulation comparison. For comparison purposes the Apimaya hive has an R value of almost 7 and a standard Lang is about an R-1. I suspect most places can get by with the lower insulation but it does explain some of the cost differential.

I’d like to try it in my latitude (Minnesota USA). I’ve been VERY happy with Lyson dense foam hives from the European continent. You are correct regarding the integrated feeders.
I could only find them in melobees and strangely the Ventilation plugs are supplied as an extra with no mention on the site where to get them. It appears to be just a top, flat base and box as standard.

Interested to see how you go with the pollen traps, I tried the same traps on timber boxes and it's impossible to get the trap to sit flush against the the entrance, due to where the mounting area on the trap
They seem to be a lot harder to come across in North America. There is only a few online shops based out of the United States that has these hives, and they don't ship to Canada. NOBODY in Canada has them. Anel needs to do better at expanding their product. I've been checking for over a year now, and there has been zero progress on this. I don't understand how Apimaye is doing a far better job at this, when their product is almost double the cost. Come on Anel. Get with the program. People want your product. So start expanding!
Very good hive for temperatures not colder than -1 degrees Celsius. Very good hive for Mediterranean countries but not for north Europe. Comparing the price of an wooden hive i would go , without any hesitation, for a wooden hive.
