The good news is, my pal informed me about this money-making strategy at *MyOnlineSelling. Com* . I`m now a day-to-day earner of over hundred dollars! by selling prodcuts on ebay and amazon
Whilst we all know plenty of people who do it, advertising the fact that you are reselling from charity stores is one of the main reasons why they have started pricing their wares out of the reach of the people they were intended for. It is such a shame, to me, to see these stores forget who they're there to service by marking their prices so high that most people who NEED to shop there can no longer afford to. I don't know about the U.S, but that's how it's become here in Australia.
I agree with you 100%. Also, I have found in thrift stores & even yard/garage sales, that there are a lot items which you can buy cheaper brand new at a regular store. I think that is really bad when you can buy an item cheaper new at a regular store then at a "thrift" store or garage sale. Because of that, and them trying to sell things at prices that is way too much-- I rarely go to thrift stores & yard sales anymore!!
I've shopped in thrift stores all over the United States (I love thrift) and also volunteered in one in my home state for a couple months. Just the ability to look on Ebay or Amazon for prices has given thrift stores a better handle on how to price things, but they still price them at much less than you'd get on either of those sites. I find that the stores here are doing it to make cash for profit or toward non-profit programing. The goal isn't to make the merchandise "affordable" -- though it does tend to be very affordable. Please consider that these buying-selling strategies as noted in the video can well constitute "work" for many lower-income people, especially disabled people, who can't work a 9-5 job. Also it's a great job for stay-at-home mom's who need a little extra cash to support the household. When I did some of this myself, I found MUCH better sourcing prices at garage sales than at thrift stores. I didn't do this for long; it was more of a onesy-twosy hobby when I "happened upon" something I had a gut feeling about. If it was of extraordinary value, I informed the seller because I don't like to take advantage; plus I take pleasure in helping others and sharing *golden* secrets over going through the trouble of making a few extra bucks.
She's selling stuffed animals, board games and books... (There is an abundance of books due to 1/2 the country going digital and I would not consider old board games "essential"...) So, she's not really reselling essential things like basic clothes... which where I live, there is no shortage of (it's kind of embarassing the excess that the US has) clothing... our local thrift store puts more things directly in a dumpster out back then they do on their racks! AND they won't let you touch anything that they threw away! That's sad.
Same happening in some towns in UK, Found out that they send to rag sorters instead of selling a bit cheaper. One charity shop here used to have a discounted rail and you could pick up some good items, they were things that had been in the store for some time, head office told the assistants to take it down and send to rag collection if not sold in 3 months rather than discount!

Yes I pulled an office softwear cd in box out of a dumpster, just for the heck of it I looked it up on eBay and 1 sold for $250, I listed mine it sold for $200, happy day, people would be surprised at the money you can find in dumpsters, and thrift store dumpsters, they often throw away better stuff than their selling in the store.

Lynn Beers I believe you have to create the ads but I'm not sure. I understand Amazon is not a place to sell yardsale finds like cookie jars, cake plates, etc....just new, unused items.
You are correct.. Plus they are easily damaged in transit. The best items to sell are working sewing machines and their attachments. Retro kitchen appliances/ vacuum cleaners that are clean and working are other good sellers. If you take the time to clean and polish your items, they do not appear to be an item that you simply picked up a a flea market and placed on ebay...
I sell on ebay everyday and people expect "almost free delivery"... It's a fact, the ebay sellers who "jack up the price" and charge "free delivery" are the most proficient sellers, but that is a dangerous game- your goods can sit for ages unsold...I am a "top ebay seller" and " know the score"...
I agree, some ebay sellers charge a "fixed rate" because they cannot comprehend ( or are too lazy ) the fact they need to weigh the items they list and in that manner the shipping is calculated for them by ebay. Many of these "characters" should not be sellers. I worked for Neiman Marcus and Sak's Fifth Avenue and fought with management for "Free shipping", especially since 20 years ago I was sending out hundreds of dollars worth of "Designer Goods"... It was not uncommon for to make a 1500,00 telephone sale ( I called my clients )...
Richard Beman I always have the buyer pay postage, calculated by eBay, based on the item. No one has ever questioned it! They pay shipping anyplace else they shop!
You might get $50 for that Mickey but your not going to sell it very quickly. It's something a specific person will pay that much for so it will take time for that person to find it for sale! Board games sell pretty well but only for cheap so you would have to get it at the thrift store very cheap to be able to sell it for really cheap. Same thing goes for puzzles! Things that sell great are kids items like movies, toys, name brand clothes & shoes, furniture an appliances. You have to get an amazing deal though to be able to resell them at a great price that would make them sell quickly! I didn't agree with a thing this lady said. I sell a lot of stuff on Facebook (I don't buy to resell though) and I have a lot of success with it more so then others around me have but that's because I sell quality stuff for great prices!

Buying and reselling from thrift stores to make a profit seems really unfair and greedy . There is a real reason some people shop at thrift stores. Bragging about how much money you can make from excellent bargains you find there definitely defeats the purpose of the stores. Perhaps you should consider some discretion in your videos .
Seriously? How is gouging or ripping anyone off? She didn't steal anything. And many thrift stores, not all, are not charity based. Even Goodwill has gone public and is in fact, for profit!
She paid the thrift stores price so how is she ripping off the thrift store? She does not set their prices, the thrift store sets their own prices. Once she pays for it she can do what she wants, it's her property.
How can you say that? She’s not stealing it from Goodwill. She’s buying it from them. Giving them money. She is self-made and self-reliant. I respect what she is doing, totally!
@@letsgo7316 I feel by her taking the items is eliminating the opportunities for all those, that the donors intentions were for. This lady was taking advantage of "donations"! Is it illegal, no. Is it morally ethical... That were you and I disagree.

Not on Amazon...
Thanks! I enjoy your videos! And yes, in the end- Jesus wins!!

Your prices are high. I can't see too many people buying for that price
Who is going to buy the Masonic Bible ?
People buy this junk??

Thanks for the heads up!
thanks
Thanks -great information!

I wanna get me a 30 dollar bill. This is B.S. I sold vintage for many years. She'd be sitting on that crap for years before she saw any 30 or 50 dollar bills. 👀👀👀

i don't suggest taking thirty or forty dollar bills from people
Most of those are restricted for sellers
Thank you for sharing
I also don't like buying things from yard sales/thrift stores as am afraid that there may be a spirit attached to it! 😱😰

Only 5 items to name and yet she has to re-check her list 100 times to get through them all.
Great vid. Great ideas. Bible says...I am the way, the truth and the life...no one goes to the Father except through me. Thank you Jesus.

@@pamh.5705 Right?? Good GRIEF people like to be petty n correct others!! That's a VERY highly used thing to say among sellers. They need to crawl out from under their rock and leave the dictionary behind! Along with their tipped up noses too. Smh... 🤦♀️

Sunny Scott nah it’s about buying it then the money goes to charity actually
Bragging about a better way to make money defeats the purpose of your comment! You shouldnt judge how and the way people make an income.
Many charities also sell on eBay because I have bought things from them, usually higher end such as named brands or jewellery
old ouija boards sell big $$$$$$
Why that bible have an iluminati mark???????
Not sure i will look closer
You can annoy the dead.
sham
Since you are 'gouging' - i.e. ripping off the charity shops, why not give some of the money back to them?
Greed! WTF do you think the reason goodwill exists? Yet your greed defies all of that! What a shame!
thanks for watching
How can you say that? She’s not stealing it from Goodwill. She’s buying it from them. Giving them money. She is self-made and self-reliant. I respect what she is doing, totally!
@@letsgo7316 I feel by her taking the items is eliminating the opportunities for all those, that the donors intentions were for. This lady was taking advantage of "donations"! Is it illegal, no. Is it morally ethical... That were you and I disagree.

There's something to be said for discretion .
So you buy things cheap to resell that some poor family could buy for their kids or for their own needs
For your own profitable gain you are a "good person"
