Kiln opening + The Great Pottery Throw Down has me confused??

In this kiln unloading a lot of sgraffito, and a question about Majolica which is mentioned in The Great Pottery Throw Down.
I would love to hear from you, what is Majolica? Am I totally wrong?

The white clay is a stoneware clay body from Laguna; nr 65. The black clay is number 391, also by Laguna.
The Scandanavian Blue, Soft Aqua and Pearl White are from Spectrum.
The clear glaze I use over my colored slips is MS29 clear bright by Laguna.
