"Kashmir" is off this album, one of, if not the, greatest double albums ever released.
Kashmir is my all-time favorite! , I'm a traveler of both time and space to see where i have been :))))))))
Agree. To think that half of the songs were left overs from earlier albums ! To think that songs like this and 'The Rover' didn't make the albums they were written for blows my mind. It shows just how great those first 5 albums were.
Kashmir is not off the Houses of the Holy album. It's from the Physical Graffiti album. It was originally considered for this album, but it was placed instead on their next album (PhysicalGraffiti).
@@lindazee, um, you do realize that the song "Houses of the Holy" is off the album "Physical Graffiti", which is a double album, right? As such, my statement is correct, i.e. that the song "Kashmir" is off the same album as the song "Houses of the Holy".
@gregwasserman2635 I do realize, and yes, you are 100% correct. I have all the albums in my collection, and Physical Graffiti is one of my favorites. Not sure why I was confused about your original comment. My brain was dazed and confused. 😕😅
"Let the music be your master. Will you heed the master's call?" That line truly defined that generation. 💯✌️
For sure. I was a teen guy in the 70's And they were the most popular back then.
Both Jimmy Page and Robert Plant stated that their favorite band was “Little Feat”
Absolutely
Pleeeaase do a video of another Zeppelin song from Physical Graffiti, Ten Years Gone. It’s a bit mellow but epic!!
Echoed in Greta van Fleet's "Meet The Master"?
"Houses of the Holy" was a phrase that Zeppelin used to describe the arenas and venues where they performed ... The "Holy" were of course the Audience, their fans that filled them
From that same album, "Trampled Under Foot"--a classic.
Oh hell yeah! That and "Custard Pie"
Awesome song to cruise on the open road too.
@@daverice2426 Both deep cuts, but still better than most anything else they'll react to.
I just gave my wife a new turntable stereo for mothers day just so we can play all of our Led Zeppelin Albums agan the way they were meant to be played owned all of the albums since the 1970's
Led Zeppelin took me on a musical journey through Jr High, High school and beyond!
Led Zeppelin-Fool In The Rain is a MUST! Banger! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
My favorite Zeppelin song along with Thank You
From their last album, Fool is good, but Evening, Gonna Crawl and All my Love are better imho.
They did Fool in the Rain June 13, 2023. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/QUg4q7diWfA/v-deo.html
@@ajruther67 ok…I looked up their Zeppelin reactions and couldn’t find it so I figured it hadn’t been done!
@DorianStarkey Huh, that's weird because I found it right way in their videos. Go to their page and go to the search button and type the band name. They have done 31 Led Zeppelin songs.
Bonzo and JPJ were obsessed with James Brown. They’re funky here. It makes your body move.
That doo-wop Plant gives, mixed with the funk and heavy riffs, really shows Zeppelin taking rock and roll music to another level. A level that hasn't been reached again in some ways
This song is not on the album Houses Of The Holy, but the Rain Song is …. It’s a must hear 🎸
Have you seen this version? I've requested it a few times. It's amazing!
ua-cam.com/video/BeDylD8dV7U/v-deo.html
If you want to hear a Zeppelin song that’s a real outlier and off this album, try “In the Light”. Not a banger, but it will definitely surprise you! Everyone else is recommending some amazing rockers and you should hear them all, but this one will really hit you on a different way.
My three favorite Zeppelin song (from among the many) would be Fool in the Rain, Over the Hills and Far Away, and Rock and Roll. 😎
"The Battle of Evermore" with the great Sandy Denny adding vocals for the duet 😀
A fantastic song.
The entire album ROCKS, you two have done Ten Years Gone which is my favorite Zeppelin song. Keep Rockin
One of my favs also
Ten Years Gone is my favorite Zep song!
Thanks for more Led Zeppelin ❤
Led Zeppelin since I've been Loving you live
Jimmy page is so good at coming up with catchy riffs in song after song, album after album. My personal favorite rock band ever.
Makes it easy when you steal every riff from unknown or lesser known bands.
@@groovelife415 Amazing when your brain doesn't function, yet you still manage to key in a response.
@@groovelife415why even bother tuning in, nobody wants to hear your bullshit, poor baby is jealous. You & your ilk make me sick.
@@richardpare3538 Stupidity and Jealousy are great motivators for trolls. Doesn't he know EVERY artist "steals." The difference is Led Zeppelin recreates and nobody gets "stolen" from more than Led Zeppelin. Undisputed.
@@groovelife415someone did the stats on that, from memory I think it was 89 songs output by the band; 12 songs were re-worked old blues. Of those, 7 were uncredited (which they had their famous lawsuits over), 5 were credited (or it may have been 5-7, again can't remember)
That leaves 77 songs that were all their own creation.
3 of My favorite Led Zeppelin songs are “The Ocean” “Heartbreaker” and “Misty Mountain Hop” If you haven’t listened to them I think you would like all 3!
Graffitti is a great album, my favorite by far by Zeppellin. There is a treasure trove of music on this double album opus. You cant go wrong with any selection from this album.
Great album for sure
Some Zepp bangers not often mentioned: Boogie with Stu.. Ozone Baby.. In the Light.. Down by the Seaside.. Carouselambra ... Achilles Last Stand.. Cheers
Amber & Jay, here are some other good Led Zeppelin songs to react to: "Your Time Is Gonna Come", "The Song Remains the Same", "Dancing Days", "The Rover", "Trampled Under Foot", and "Achilles Last Stand"
They will also love "The Crunge", Boogie With Stu, Down By the Seaside", That's The Way.
The Ocean
Moby Dick
No Quarter
…
Don't forget "Thats The Way" essential tune
Your Time is one of my faves.
Amber, you will love The Rain Song. Thanks for all your hard work. ☮🖤🤘
My favorite Zeppelin album hands down.
Led Zeppelin the base line by John Paul jones here rocks.
I mean....what bass line by JPJ DOESN'T rock??? He is a beast STILL.
The best album by far. Have to do "In the Light". One of my favorite gems
You hit a HOME RUN ! Great song!
I don’t think y’all have reacted to “Tangerine” yet.
Another great one I know you will love!
That's the Way is another great one from that album!
One of their best from a band that had so many great songs.
“In the Light”
“Sick Again”
“The Wanton Song”
“Custard Pie”
“The Rover”
…to name a few
One of my favorites from this album is in my time of dying
Trampled under foot is fire!!!
Zeppelin FOREVER 🥁☮☘
Love when you do Zeppelin. Try the group The Black Crowes. Love all their songs, listen to the song Twice as Hard. You guys are great!
One of my top four favorite Zeppelin songs
Again, THE OCEAN !!
Great reaction, guys! My top three Led Zep songs are: "Over the Hills and Far Away" , "Black Dog" , and "Kashmir." Keep the Led Zep reactions coming! 🤟👍
I will never forget as long as I live the day that my grandmother walked in and saw this album sitting on my bed and started yelling that "there's naked people on it"!
She's been gone these 40 years and I will never forget that lol.
That's actually the album Houses of the Holy. This song is from Physical Graffiti.
@brettkenschaft4239 I guess it's a bit confusing since the title song from that album never really existed until Physical Graffiti.
😂😂😂😂
@@magneto7930 The song existed, but didn't make the cut for the Houses of the Holy album.
@xenialafleur you are correct. I should have rephrased that to say that it never existed on an available album. Thank you.
They killed it on the instrumentals again and Robert Plant's voice is great as usual. Nice pick.
Carouselambra by Led Zeppelin is a great piece of music!
Greatest band of all time
Led Zeppelin Is The Best 💯
❤🎉 Led Zeppelin 🎉❤
Fun fact: Rolling Stones video of “Waiting on a Friend” starts off with Mick waiting for Keef on the steps of the same building featured on the Led Zep Physical Graffiti album cover. 96-98 St. Mark’s Place, Manhattan.
I love Plant's voice.
Trampled Under Foot and 10 Years Gone (my favorite and lots of Zep Heads favorite) both masterpieces both off of this album, which is a complete masterpiece...
This song was played everywhere in 1976 at high school. Good times!
Just wanna drop this request...Dwight Yoakum " A Thousand Miles From Nowhere" or "Ain't That Lonely Yet". One of Rockabilly's most awesome vocalists!
"In my time of Dying", "Battle of Evermore", "No Quarter", "Ramble On", "Immigrant Song", "In the Evening" ... not necessarily in that order ...
You've gotta check out "In my time of Dying"& "Trampled Underfoot"!!
Live or Studio both are incredible
"Said the room is filled with laughter. Are you dizzy when you're stoned? We always liked that line :).
In the light❤❤❤❤❤
I’m 59, yo. I played this double album continuously on my turn table when I was about 14. Every song is awesome.
Kashmir is on that album!
In My Time of Dying - Same Album - It will be your favorite - 11 minutes of bliss.
Amber! Your hair looks great!
🤘🤘
Trampled under foot!! Love JPJ part in that song!
Dancing Days is a great song too.
“ Trampled Underfoot “!!!
Getting the Led out! Such a great song and the album is fire..🔥 That riff is iconic Zeppelin. (My little sister used to call them Zep Lepplin.😂)
Everytime I hear this I think of my old school friend Danette. She had a stroke in her late teens due to some undiagnosed heart ailment. It happened right before she started college. Tho she had a rather slow recovery, she still carried on with her schooling. . I used to help her with her Math because the stroke left her numbers cognition a bit lacking.
Anyway, on days when she wasn't "firing on all cylinders" (her words), she just wanted some company and conversation. I had a wonderful record collection at the time and she always begged me to bring over some rock n roll -- her strict parents wouldn't allow it in their house. But since she lived in off campus housing...
So one day I turn up with Physical Graffiti and she just was over the moon. Even with her slurred words, twisted arm, and shambling gait from the stroke, she would be head bangin' to Houses of the Holy.
I swear one evening we played it like 8 times in a row. Neighbors bangin' and we laughed and turned it up louder.
About 7 years later with me married, moved away, I was by then a store owner. Hadnt seen Danette since she graduated. But my phone rang one day with her name attached.
I'm like Hey what up? Month a Sundays since I heard from you.
It was Danette's half sister on the line. She had died 2 days before. She was 26 years old. Sister said she dialing all the numbers of folks D had called the most. I was her 5th call.
I always played music in my store. That night before I closed my shop, I put the loud speakers outside, I put "Houses of the Holy" on the player, cranked up the volume to 15 of 20, and I played the song 9 times in a row.
I'm sure somewhere Danette was laughing her ass off.
This made me cry. What a blessing you were to each other, true friends. Peace to you.
what a great friend you were to Danette. i love your TRIBUTE AND I AM SURE SHE WAS DANCING AND LAUGHING looking over you.
Beautiful memories
The Goat! I have all their Albums been a fan since 11 yo. I'm 66 now!
Zep just grooved different than all before and after😮
Really wish the solo played out longer on this track. Fades out right when it gets going!
Oh, you guys should hear Trampled Under Foot. That riff/groove is infectious
Next the song. In the evening. From the album In thru the outdoor.
Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bomham & John Paul Jones, it just doesn't get any better! ❤😊
I've said it once and I'll see it again.. for me led Zeppelin is going to church.. I'm the youngest of five in four of us including me are and where the biggest fans... Ever, especially my brother Frank God rest his soul...
Led Zeppelin "Thats The Way" is a must!!
In The Light is a must listen to from this album.
Glad to see you getting back to the classics
Amber, you & Jay have come a long way with the shoulder dance. You both know your music and have expanded your musical horizons. Keep it up.💫
BOMP-BOMP!! SO GOOD!!! Cannot go WRONG with Led Zeppelin!! :) ROCK ON, ROB SQUAD!!! :) HUGS!
A nice little touch by JPJ here. The first two times he plays the riff, doubling Page, he plays the final note low, then each subsequent time, he ends on the same note but an octave higher. It further feeds the song's energy.
Favorites, Over the Hills and Far Away, Fool in the Rain, Dyer Maker
Killer Song!! Love this one
My favourite rock band , splendid !! Xxx
Amber grooving and a moving 👍👍
Levy and Gallows as your favorites Amber, tells me all I need to know about your taste in music in general, and in Zep in particular. It’s top notch!
Physical Grafitti is a GOLD MINE. Literally: DIG IT, lol! Amber I know u espesh love u some crazy Bonzo drumming. "In my time of dying" has that and to spare! "Trampled under foot" comes right after "Houses" here and is total fire as well. "In The Light" is a MUST at some point!
In The Light off of Physical Graffiti will blow your mind!
Friends (Led Zeppelin III) is an unusual song
Try Dancing Days. Such a good track. And Battle Of Evermore is brilliant too.
Great reaction you two!! The entirety of Physical Graffiti is a masterpiece! One of the best double albums ever - there are so many styles of music captured within & Zeppelin does them all to perfection!
Kashmir, The Rover, In The Light, Bron-Yr-Aur, Down By The Seaside (really unique & beautiful), Ten Years Gone, The Wanton Song, In My Time Of Dying....seriously, not a weak track! Check it! Cheers.
I second another commenter’s recommendation to listen to The Rain Song from the album entitled Houses of the Holy. My favorite Led Zeppelin album tends to be whichever one I’m listening to. Tracking their musical journey from the beginning is an auditory delight
Awesome Zep groove with this one, Folks!
Saying HELLO from Eustis Florida ! It's 5:45 a.m. Wednesday morning. Sitting out on our porch, with coffee, and listening to a great "wake up song" ! Constant lightning out here is like a light show right now. You guys are awesome 😎 !
Physical Graffiti is such a GREAT, great album, maybe their best. Any track off that set is epic!
Love Bonzos work on this one, just sitting back there killing it.
In the Light, Down By the Seaside, Traveling Riverside Blues, Boogie With Stu, and Battle of Evermore! If you love the mandolin, Battle of Evermore is definitely for you! Boogie with Stu has some as well played by Jimmy Page, while Robert Plant plays acoustic, and Ian Stuart (Rolling Stones manager) plays piano!
I first heard thi song on thier original box set released in 1990-- its been one of my favorites ever since, a recommendation for a great zeppelin song has got to be That's the way .. thelive Version from how the west was won, that album is a musical collage of sound board recording from thier 1972 tour. it consists of material from thier LA Forum show and San Diego shows which were done back to back nights in July of 1972, some of the best live zeppelin ever released. there is even a rare cover of Hello Mary Lou on that album that is just killer.
So many great songs on Physical Graffiti: Custard Pie, The Rover, Kashmir, Ten Years Gone, Trampled Under Foot, and one of my favorites, Sick Again.
You guys have to review Trampled Under Foot by Zep. Awesome, funky tune from the same album as this song.
D’yer Mak’er is a play on “Did you make her” but pronounced with an English accent to sound like the word Jamaica (hence the reggae sound)
“Boogie with Stu” is an awesome Zep song. Rockin piano. Great chair dance song for Amber. I can listen to this song over and over.
I second this suggestion. One of the most fun, most infectious songs they ever did!
Give “in my time of dying” a listen. I know J will appreciate that one.
The Beatles, Santana, CCR, and Led Zeppelin, my top my favorites growing up in the early 70's! MALO was my 5th. React to Suavecito, slow & melo and then Nena, in that order. You cannot go wrong!
Great reaction. Thank you. And once again, the MVP of The Zep: JPJ. With that amazing bass line. And probably a lot of the arrangement stuff.
My personal favorite from them
Zeppelin at their peak in 75 with Physical Graffiti. The Rover is another classic.
The Rover and Sick Again are my fav Zeppelin songs!
