hey man thanks for the video. if you dont mind, can you help me with the length of the rails? the front one and side one. i had a tundra with these reals and loved them. now i have a 2500 ram and the rails suck big time. trying to adjust the bed to make this one work. thanks!
Sorry for the delay. I had a starter go bad and just got it out of the shop. I have the 6.5' bed. It has one of those retractable bed covers so I can't get a super accurate measurement of the side rails. The best I got was 70"-71" with the caps on the ends. The front rail is 55" with the caps. They also make the same rails for the short bed and the long bed. I have the part numbers in the description if you have a different sized bed in your new truck. I don't use those cleats very often but I love them when I need them.
I had an older Retrax retractable cover for a little while until it broke. I know when I looked to replace it the website had options under the vehicle selection for trucks "With Deck Rail System". The clamps it comes with are just a little different.
I think I ordered those directly from Toyota. Parts usually arrive within a day or two. The different part numbers I found are in the description if you need them.
Those are adjustable anchor points so you can tie down your cargo. They are a lot more convenient than trying to reach way down into the corners of the bed.
Thanks, perfect detail, great video. Cheers!
I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for watching.
thanks
this video helped alot
Awesome. Good luck with your project.

I see where you mentioned T-30 for the Torx bolt heads. Do you happen to know what sized threads are on those bolts? Maybe an M-6 x 1??
Sorry, I'm not really sure and the parts bag is not marked at all. I'm not sure where I would look to find that info.
@@Random-Dad-Stuff Thanks for looking.
Did the bolts that hold the rails to the bed come with the box? Great video
Thanks for watching.
Yes, my kit came with the mounting bolts.
I don’t use the rails much but I really like them.
What tonneau cover would fit the OEM rail system. Most I come across, you need seperate rails or no rails at all .. which isn't ideal..😅

Where did you order them and how long did they take to arrive? Thanks!

@@Random-Dad-Stuff thank you!! I ordered and installed them, couldn’t be happier! Great video!
What are the rail handles for?
Those are adjustable anchor points so you can tie down your cargo.

How much room is left at each end of the Rail? I’ve got a ladder rack system I sometimes use to haul kayaks
Not very much. Less than 5” in the back and less than 3” in the front. The rails extend past the stake pockets, if that helps.
