  • I have had the Durafly Tundra RC airplane in the box for a few months and finally got a day to to attempt to unbox, build and maiden. The only hitch is that the flying field is shutting down at 12:30 as we mow, weed eat and lay down lime to prep for the flying season.
    Can I do it?
Come along as I try. Let me know what you think about this video. This took a ton of work and resources to pull off. Please leave a comment with feedback
    Thanks again.

“We’d like to thank our sponsor, Flite Test!”
Lol, just kidding! ;-) I’m a fan too!
Great video! Very entertaining! Nice job solo filming and editing this.
Welcome to Tundra ownership! You’re probably asking yourself, “Why did I wait so long?!”

Thanks! The only reason I waited so long was to get it at a good price. Finally got it for $130 shipped. Can’t wait to fly it again!!

I actually never realized how nice the color scheme was on this Tundy! Nice "aerial" shots with the drone. I see it's parked nicely out of the way. What a cool viddy! b

Brian B thanks! I would love to have the Mavic closer but wasn't comfortable having it to close for a maiden flight. But it did catch most of the flight from that position.

thanks for the in depth and detailed build video ...LOL.................as someone currently learning to fly on an old school high wing nitro trainer and having just ordered the Tundra V2 as my 2nd plane ....are there any helpful flap mix settings or flight tips you can offer...thanks much.

The Tundra flys really well. The only thing I find it needs is a bit of speed on landing on the grass if I have a 2200 3s. With a 1000 3s it flys noticeable lighter and lands easier. I get nearly the same flight time out of both batteries, granted my batteries are not in the best shape. I tried a 4s battery and didn't see a drastic performance increase (with same prop).
