    HIIT Cardio Workout for FAT Loss - 30 Minute Workout
    Grab a set of light dumbbells if you have them. If not, just follow my lead using bodyweight!
    4 x 5 Minute rounds in a HIIT format. Round 5 is an all-out burner working for 3 utilizing 30 seconds sets.
    Rounds 1 - 4 are 1 Minute HIIT (Maximum Intensity) followed by 30 seconds of active recovery (moderate effort). You'll repeat for 3 rotations to complete each round.
    There are 30 seconds rest between rounds.

    HIIT forces your body to use energy from fat as opposed to carbs. This makes losing fat more efficient. On a diet, it's hard to lose fat while maintaining muscle. But studies have shown that with HIIT, you can preserve those hard-earned muscles while burning the maximum amount of fat.
    Because HIIT training can increase the rate at which your body burns calories, it is an excellent training method to burn overall body fat, including belly fat. One study showed that people performing HIIT three times a week for 20 minutes lost an average of 4.4 pounds in 12 weeks without any dietary changes.
    30 Minutes is more than enough to work all the big muscles groups with a circuit of light weights and high repetitions. Exhausting these muscles through this type of HIIT has strong calorie and fat burning effects while building muscular strength and endurance.

    In addition to increased fat burning and muscle preservation, HIIT workouts stimulate the production of your human growth hormone (HGH). It goes up by 450% during the 24 hours after your workout. This, in turn, increases your metabolism in the short term and, after consistent HIIT workouts, improves your overall metabolic rate. An improved rate of metabolism makes it less likely for you to gain weight. A healthy metabolic system can rid toxins from your body more efficiently. It can also, as mentioned above, burn calories even after you finish with your HIIT session. Doing a HIIT workout kick starts your body’s metabolism to a level that the fat burning effects last hours after the session have finished.
    Perhaps one of the most essential benefits of HIIT workouts is improving cardiovascular health. In general, people aren’t used to pushing themselves into the anaerobic zone. HIIT workouts get you there in short bursts while mixing in rest time to strengthen your heart and oxygen consumption. HIIT workouts have been shown to reduce blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar levels.

    Thank you Nate for incorporating those dumbbells in with you workouts. I like how I now have more choices to go from now. It really helps keeping things getting stale, and I can rotate through them and use my favorites whenever I like.
