I grew up in a community where there were many vegetarians. There were many that died of heart disease, stroke and diabetes and dementia. Although they were vegetarian much of their diet consistent of diary, eggs and processed food and much of it was fried in butter and oils.

Deviating scientific data disgusts me ! I’m a clinical microbiologist MD and vegan for 7 years. As a fan of you, the marvellous couple, thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us🙏🏼💚 Best wishes from Turkey 🕊❤️🌱🕊

Like to hear the difference between oil eating vegans and non. Coconut oil has been very popular the last ten years. Thanks for taking a look at this.

The Japanese eat the most eggs per capita and they also have the highest life expectancy. They also eat a lot of Pork, fish and ruminant animals

So, stay the course. Whole food, plant-based diet. Exercise, lot's of water? Thanks you two. Keep up the great work and videos. :)

Thanks for clarifying here. I knew vegetarians in the 90s who ate loads and loads of cheese, which might have been enough saturated fat to cause a stroke. Agreed that a plant-based, whole foods diet is still the way to go.

I’m just wondering if you could explain the connection between iron deficiency and strokes as well as heart attacks for anyone, not just vegetarians or vegans. Also how to prevent anemia for people eating a whole food plant based diet. Also how a person on a whole food plant based diet can recover from severe anemia (which occurred within a year of going whole food plant based) without returning to eating meat when unable to tolerate IV iron treatment but also doesn’t seem to be absorbing iron either.

Imagine how horrifying the results would be if they did all vegans and excluded vegetarians.

Just for clarification.....too low of LDL or HDL is a risk for stroke?

Is there a good study, with good diet history data, which has sold data on stroke and other diseases for quality food vegans vs other diets? Or population studies?

More Strokes in Vegetarians and Vegans seems absurd. Where is the data? It is not uncommon for one study to generate paradoxical results due to design flaws etc We can trust only meta analysis properly Did these stroke happen during a heat wave?

Whatever the data, one can tell how veganism is easy on the body when switching from meat consumption to plant-based diet. If done right, one can enjoy the liestyle while being healthy.

Dr. Fuhrman has been saying for years that vegans who eat salt are at higher risk for hemorrhagic strokes because their cholesterol is low but salt puts the blood vessels at risk for weakening and hemorrhaging.

Question for Team Sherzai MD.- When they do, are vegans and vegetarians at a higher risk for hemorrhagic strokes than the general population. I ask because of the explanation given in this video ua-cam.com/video/y0miDq_VxLY/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/UZOJmtALT9U/v-deo.html.
Thanks so much for shedding more light on the study in question.

I know of a guy who was 40 years old and perfect physical health had a heart attack. You know what his doctor told him? Not enough fat in his body.

Also the "meat eaters" in this study were actually SAD dieters not strictly meat. If they were strict carnivore they would have destroyed all of them.

There is ABSOLUTELY a higher risk. Cholesterol is a huge factor, and not in the way you immediately think. Our bodies need Cholesterol, the vegan diet is completely void of Cholesterol. There are ZERO sources of cholesterol. Our bodies produce cholesterol on its own, but we need a healthy outside source. Our brains and nervous system need it. Strokes affect the brain and nervous system, it is not a coincidence that I've read several stories of very young vegans having strokes..one vegan man I've heard of, had two strokes. Vegans like to think they are preventing all these diseases, like a diabetes and cancer..when you are eating a diet with zero sources of any cholesterol Our bodies need, and a diet void of at least 15 vitamins and nutrients, you're going to run into possible health issues you never even imagined. If you do not want to eat meat, at least, allow yourself to be vegetarian, so your body is getting some healthy levels of cholesterol.
Again: it is *NOT HEALTHY* to eat a diet with no outside sources of cholesterol.

I had heart problems on the vegan diet, but only a couple of weeks into the pure carnivore diet, my palpitations stopped. That was 2 years ago, and have had zero problems since.

I get heart palpitations when I am b12 or iron deficient. As a vegetarian I make sure to take these supplements and avoid palpitations.

Vegan diet is not for the weak of heart. It takes very sturdy body to handle vegan lifestyle. Stay vegetarian with bit of fish and chicken The Mediterranean approach is optimal.

@@wesriojas I didn't eat anything, it was all juices. Veg is fake and man-made, glad I kept going on the pure carnivore diet, because that is what we are, obligate carnivores.
