Goldsmith's score reminded me of Bach's Tocatta and Fugue. It invoked a chilling atmosphere that perfectly framed the bizarre film. James Wong Howe's camerawork was responsible for the eerie quality of the movie.
Rock Hudson was fine in supporting parts ( and yes, in Giant he was a supporting actor - the story is about her, as it was written by a woman), but he just couldn't play strong leading male parts, pure and simple. Just couldn't convey the range of emotions.
I disagree-Rock was good doing light comedy and standard material but he genuinely saw Seconds as an opportunity to try something more stronger and unconventional than his usual audience was used to seeing him do .He was disappointed when this film was not a success but later viewed it as one of his best -i think he gave a fine performance it's certainly one of my all-time favorite movies
@@bryanpalmer9660 I remember reading an interview in the Montreal Star in the late '70s or early '80s. He said he considered it his finest acting on film. I believe him. At a drive-in I saw "Hornets' Nest" w/costar Sophia Loren about WW2 Italy.
The ending of that movie really disturbed me . Poor old Wilson 😢
The opening scene at the Railway station is worth the price of admission' alone!💎
One of my top 5 favorite films.
Lemme guess, The Swimmer is another.
@@sclogse1YES!!! Viewer with taste!

One of the best movies ever
i will always remember this soundtrack
WOW!
Great editing to a very powerful score by Mr. Goldsmith.
The music so sets the mood! Scaring, eerie, frightening, alarming. A feeling of terror too. Amazing scene. So good the editing!
Mesmerizing score & film by the maestros Goldsmith and Frankenheimer. Stellar job on the editing bud.
Stravinsky violin concerto, third movement for main theme
Sections of the movie music was "borrowed" from Peter Grimes by Benjamin Britten.
Great editing job!
great!!
Great video.🍻
The music is quite unnerving, especially at 2:08
This would've made a great trailer.
Absolutely! 👏👏👏
Great movie!!! Completely disturbing!!! It’s almost unknown here in Brazil!!!
Fidelis Eternis. Sounds like what you agree to to run as a republican.
