Because plugging each magnet to a mains line would be somehow dangerous to say the least :P Jokes aside, yes, I agree with you but I stick to this channel for the quality within. Using almost the same flywheel as the one at 4:46, we machined grooves on the side of it so we could use an airblower to spin it up at high speed. That one lasted more than 30 min. And it was almost impossible to move because of the centrifugal force 😉.
Be warned. It is a really dangerous thing to doo. The speed can really hurt you if your finger gets between the weel and frame when it spins aat high speeds.
They got one thing wrong with the "neon" plasma cups, ionized neon glows bright orange but the cups plasma is blue so it's most likely xenon or argon which both glow blue.
Challenge 1 answer - I think thats cause of its bigger size means its higher circumference, due to its higher circumference giraff travels more distance on that surface. Under load, it probably wouldn't turn much at all. It's all speed and no torque

I always thought the gyroscope was a brilliant bit of kit, had one when i was about ten. Then later on i had an Euler's disk. Alas i gave that away as a present.
I have the flywheel spinner. I’ve gotten on average 1 hour 30 on a good spin. Rely cool.

The atomic weight of Tungsten is roughly 7.5 times that of Magnesium. there for Tungsten is a denser material and you need less for the same mass.
