      @@skybluenerd219 Create a file in your PCSX2 folder called portable.ini. Then start the emulator briefly to move user files and folders inside PCSX2.
      After that you'll see the "patches" folder inside PCSX2. That's where the noise filter patch goes.

    if you play the Wii version in the console, you hear the audio from the calls through the wiimote, maybe that's why phone calls were muted using Dolphin

    Thanks for the video, helped me a lot with this title.
    2:05 Here I would add "Texture Cache Accuracy Fast/Middle", "Defer EFB Copies to RAM no", "Vertex Sounding yes" and "VBI Skip yes", "TV Phone Audio / Enable Speaker Data"
    Texture Cache Accuracy on fast or in the middle of the slider gives more headroom for emulation speed percentage, preventing framedrops.
    Unchecking Defer EFB Copies to RAM (unsure about issues caused by unchecking this yet) solves visual glitches when taking pictures or getting close to ghostly apparitions (seen at 2:36).
    Vertex Sounding fixes graphical problems in games running at internal resolutions higher than native.
    VBI Skip allows for smooth audio playback when emulation speed is not at 100%, preventing audio crackles.
    There's two ways to hear the phone calls in your standard output audio device: you can either select the "TV Phone Audio" option inside the game's options menu, or you can check "Enable Speaker data" in Dolphin's Controllers Settings > Wii Remotes.
    For the use of a regular gamepad, in Controller Settings > Wii Remotes > Emulated Wii Remote > Configure:
    1. This game requires a Nunchuk, so set up the Nunchuk as extension under the General and Options tab at rightmost side under Extension;
    2. Under the Motion Simulation tab > Point section, set Vertical Offset to 15 cm. This will make the flashlight/cursor centered on the screen (default makes it higher up);
    3. Click on the 3 dots next to Relative Input, select "toggle" from the Functions dropdown menu, click inside the (brackets) and select a button you prefer, I like to use R3, and click ok. Toggle to disable the camera's auto centering, very helpful for the first-person perspective interactions. If set correctly, a gamepad icon will appear next to the Relative Input check box. Don't click the check box, otherwise this will remove the button you just set up.
    4. Set L2 for left tilt and R2 for right tilt. How much you press equals how much you tilt. I can't figure out how to use the up and down commands with the analog sticks without breaking the Point commands (camera controls) when using the right analog stick or the Extension commands (movement controls) when using the left analog stick, so when I need to inspect something that needs those inputs, I usually go into the "inspect" screen first and then I configure the right or left analog stick for the up and down tilt commands.
    5. Set the d-pad buttons for both the Wiimote and Nunchuk "Swing" commands, under Motion Simulation and Extension Motion Simulation tabs, respectively, making it possible to shove creatures and create barricades.
    I think the Wii version will work well for me, having fun with the game so far. Once again, thanks for the help, and I hope I can also help someone who wants to improve their playthrough with this comment.

    I would strongly recommend to play this game on an original Wii hardware (or on a high-end PC with finely tuned settings and original controls). The ability to move flashlight in any direction with the palm of your hand as on-screen character and that moment, when you need to put the wiimote speaker to your ear like a real phone to hear the call, resulted in one of the most immersive gaming experience I've ever had

    in 0:06 i can see the Game fps is at 27, even dropping to 25, that's a pcsx2 thing, not your hardware, because Video fps is 60 which means your pc is fine. so just reminder that pcsx2 has a option to boost game fps if you don't like default performance, adjust ''EE Cycle Rate'' in emulation tab, i recommend 180%. it can make poorly optimized ps2 games like Call of Duty 3 to run good

    As someone who's played all the versions on the native platforms i can say that the Wii version has the best textures and graphics in general and the ice walls are transparent in the Wii version unlike all the PlayStation consoles, You can see it very well at 5:02, Now this is my personal opinion but PSP version is my least favorite due to the low texture quality and really simplistic lighting which kills the atmosphere in many areas but of course, Having the weakest hardware of the bunch you can't complain.
    For emulation PS2 version is the best due to the control scheme, You can get a Wiimote + Nunchucks and modified sensor bars that use USB instead of Nintendo's proprietary connectors but it's really awkward and you'd have to play the game on a TV instead of your monitor, PSP version is best enjoyed on a PSP/PS Vita because of portability and smaller screen size, It's the one that's lightest on the hardware so there's that for lower-end PCs/Laptops.
    I've beaten this game multiple times on PS2 and it was the first platform i enjoyed this game on, PSP and Wii versions 2nd & 3rd, I'd say the PS2 version is somehow superior due to the fact that some parts of the game (SPOILER AHEAD) like the coloring the picture part in therapy part is much faster on ps2 and tedious on Wii and the chase parts are way less clunky since you don't have to shake the Wiimote in weird ways, It's cool to use the Wiimote as the flashlight and all that but your hand will get tired and in general, You have much better control on the PS2 version over the Wii version, Wii might look the prettiest but it has its quirks and personally if i were to play the game i'd choose the PS2 version both natively and emulating wise.

    Well, that was exactly what I was looking for. The comment section is helping too.
    What are your PC specs ? I have a brand new PC, 7950x3D for CPU and 7900 XTX for GPU. Do you think it will make a change regarding either Dolphin or PCSX2, or is it an emulation problem, and having better hardware won't change a thing regarding visual bugs and framerate ?

    I remember playing the native PSP version a long time ago but now, looking at the comparisons between the versions.... I like the look of the psp even more, it actually looks like a lost footage with the VCR filter.
    The thing i also noticed at 3:35 is that The PS2 version looked more clearer, the Wii version has more details and the psp looks more rougher then the PS2 version.

      I originally picked up a wiimote and sensor to use with dolphin, they're not that expensive, and also very easy to find at the moment. But i also came across a good deal on an actual Wii system. Now i suppose when i have the chance I'll play games on there. This is an interesting time with emulation though, emulators work better than ever, a lot of fan translations. The cost of classic games now is ridiculous, and there is a LOT that i want to play again or even just missed out on entirely. Busy as my life is, i don't have endless patience to play around with settings. So i 'prefer' the real hardware when it's possible. Videos such as this are always appreciated, i do look up "best settings for" before playing anything on PC.
