Just a tip- best way to study smart is to just try your hardest to understand the content meaning watching the lectures second by second and going back 5 seconds everytime you don't understand something until you understand every word that lecturer or teacher said. It's easier to do questions and everything else once you have understand the content. Just a tip
Do you ever watch these study tip videos, create a mental routine, plan it so well and start daydreaming yourself studying but never actually study, to the point you get exhausted from all that planning and daydreaming and then just say, "I'm too tired to study today, I'll start tomorrow", and the tomorrow never comes?? Because that is me. If there ever was a procrastination God, that would undoubtedly be me.

had discovered this method, used to make massive notes before, now the only thing I write down is the questions that I can ask, the linking of the concepts is awesome moreover, u get a complete realtime feedback of what you know and what you don't know, so u don't waste time learning things u already know, but u direct ur time to things u don't know.

Just to share my thoughts, on 0:55 Advanced Information Processing. I learned to do this early in my childhood, (being able to read books at the age of 2) it is a really effective technique. I discovered that it's easy to learn and retain new information when you know "why" and "how" does that information works. By bridging information from various sources (eg reading other books) and "figuring things out", learning becomes more "active" rather than "passive". So instead of just mindlessly memorizing new information, try to figure out "how does it work" or "why does it work". Ask questions during or after reading, then try to answer them by opening another related book or search on Google etc. Yes, it can be a pain in the ass (when you really have 0 background knowledge about it), but the returns are worth it. Then to "reinforce" that information into your brain, do the 6:48 Feynman technique (the funny thing is you might create a better understanding in the middle of an explanation). PS: I'm a medical student (a lazy one), since our field requires a lot of information to be memorized, doing these 2 "lessens the burden of memorizing things". It really does save time and frees up your schedule to learn new things.
studying hard is: learning a subject 8 hours a day without making a break and then nothing gets into your brain. styding smart is: learning a subject 4 hours a day with making breaks and everything gets into your brain. edit: i didnt watch the video beforehand

super helpful video! I will definitely be using all of the methods mentioned! and I have noticed that all of the successful students use these same methods. Asking questions, spaced repetition, studying the most effective/relevant information first, and explaining the information to yourself or others.
In under 10 minutes, you deliver life-changing information. If students were to study and apply this information, it could change the trajectory of their academic life. This, in turn, would influence their career.
1. Make sure to look over your syllabus on when exams are due. 2. Plan your days so you know how many hours you have to study. 3. Quickly skimmed words and definitions you don’t know and look them up. 4. Goto the end of the chapter and look over the review questions or hw problems to get your mind active when reading your chapter(s). 5. Start reading, and starting actively scanning for those questions and if you see a definition, closed the book and try to actively recall it. 6. A process that can take 5 or 6 pages to understand would be a bit harder, but this is where you would neeed to try to explain it to your friend. If you can’t explain the concept to your friend then. You need to go back and figured it out either by watching different videos, textbook, etc. I am currently using these techniques and so far I am getting an A+ in statistics ( number one in class in test score) and A in biology. Lastly, if you don’t have a good memory then you may need to look at differnet techniques such as peg system, aboriginals memory technique, mnemonics, space renditions, flash cards (anki, quizlet), etc. if you are doing any type of calculatons, make sure you quickly do practice problems to the point where you don’t think but do. Final tip: Speed on test is critical! Go as fast as you can on a test so you can go back over your exam to look for silly mistakes, tricky questions, etc! Both my classes, I have finished the exam With 30-45 mins to spare!
Your videos are absolutely AMAZING!!! I was feeling unmotivated, and I had no idea how to be motivated again, and how to start studying with a goal. Love your videos man! You are awesome! Me feeling like a shit for not studying this whole ass year and freaking out my exam is tomorrow and don't even know how and what to study. Feel like I should go for imp things but I'm still eating my ramen and watching this .There are 10 chapter's and 10 hour's life is not hard unless we made it that way its really weird to be a topper couple of years ago and going to be a loser. Online class ruined my life and offline exams are gonna bury me edit: the exams went online may be because of prayer lmao. SO ATLEAST I WILL PASS. there is god y'all after writing this comment within 1 hour my school cancelled the exams and conducted it last week online idk how to feel..........
I understand same happened to me for the past 3 years I have not got below 95% and my online final exam marks are coming tomorrow and a friend of mine (tchr's son) told me that they are not even 90% really was disappointed to hear that. anyway a new academic year is gonna start really hoping that I will make a comeback, Praise to god
Spaced repetition really is insane. I used to cram and use Anki’s (flashcard software) system for spaced repetition even a few hours before the exam and it really saves my life. Imagine how powerful it would be if I wasn’t cramming.
The repetition method is so good for language learning 😊 I knew all this things actually, the first one I didn't know it was a method.. I did that always without to notice. Unfortunately my grades weren't amazing, but they were okay and some good but in languages i defenitly had really good ones. That's why the repetition method is the best for languages especially for me ☺️ You don't notice that they are actually "methods" until someone makes you notice them 🙈
Active reading - ask questions to yourself take important notes Spaced Repetition - Learn in advance memorize with increasing break time periods Simplify information teach it to someone and correct/fill your missing gaps of information
people say that u have to study hard to get high mark but sometimes honestly the luck could play a big role like have u ever study hard for a subject and u get low mark but in another subject that u didn't prepare for it good u get better mark

Super simplified notes on studying smarter 1. Advanced Information Processing -Asking more questions after reading a topic like How? (How can you use this), When? (When will you use this), and Why? (Why must I use this) 2. Spaced Repetition -Memorization technique with increasing intervals of studying the topic. 6 hrs, then 3 days, then a week. 3. Pareto Principle "80/20 Rule" -Prioritize the 20% of studying that directly affects your output like summarizing lecture exams and answering past papers. 4. Feyman Technique Simplifying what you know, then teach it to someone who don't know anything about the topic. Go back to your topic when you didn't exolain very well until you succeed.
I dont know how you guys just actually follow this. I could never smart study. Somehow it just take me hours to learn a topic while other do in minutes. I just kinda suck and I always cry myself to sleep hahah

Feel like I should go for imp things but I'm still eating my ramen and watching this .There are 10 chapter's and 10 hour's life is not hard unless we made it that way its really weird to be a topper couple of years ago and going to be a loser. Online class ruined my life and offline exams are gonna bury me
edit: the exams went online may be because of prayer lmao.
Ik online classes ruined my grades to being a topper for all these years and then failing hits hard
Yo.. learn you lesson and study hard

Spaced repetition really is insane. I used to cram and use Anki’s (flashcard software) system for spaced repetition even a few hours before the exam and it really saves my life. Imagine how powerful it would be if I wasn’t cramming.
The repetition method is so good for language learning 😊
I knew all this things actually, the first one I didn't know it was a method.. I did that always without to notice. Unfortunately my grades weren't amazing, but they were okay and some good but in languages i defenitly had really good ones. That's why the repetition method is the best for languages especially for me ☺️ You don't notice that they are actually "methods" until someone makes you notice them 🙈
Thank you! this video gave me lots of tips and motivation for my upcoming exam.😃
Active reading - ask questions to yourself take important notes
Spaced Repetition - Learn in advance memorize with increasing break time periods
Simplify information teach it to someone and correct/fill your missing gaps of information
Jim kwik is really an amazing person!!!
people say that u have to study hard to get high mark but sometimes honestly the luck could play a big role like have u ever study hard for a subject and u get low mark but in another subject that u didn't prepare for it good u get better mark
I have backlogs from the previous 4 semesters thus depressed and 0 knowledge right now and exams start in 20 hour. I am going to cry.
How was your exam,i hope your okay
@@murgishaag Yeah, I wrote something from my previous knowledge, logic and rememberance, but later came to know that wrote 2 wrong concepts out of 5 so, can't say whether I'll pass or not.
Thanks for asking BTW, it made my day.
@@soumilswapna i hope it works out for !

Study smarter not harder is my great inspiration. Marty lobdell and Jim kwik study methods can help you better learner in any time.
Super simplified notes on studying smarter
1. Advanced Information Processing
-Asking more questions after reading a topic like
How? (How can you use this), When? (When will you use this), and Why? (Why must I use this)
2. Spaced Repetition
-Memorization technique with increasing intervals of studying the topic. 6 hrs, then 3 days, then a week.
3. Pareto Principle "80/20 Rule"
-Prioritize the 20% of studying that directly affects your output like summarizing lecture exams and answering past papers.
4. Feyman Technique
Simplifying what you know, then teach it to someone who don't know anything about the topic. Go back to your topic when you didn't exolain very well until you succeed.
How cute the way you explain!⭐️
Acha😂
I dont know how you guys just actually follow this. I could never smart study. Somehow it just take me hours to learn a topic while other do in minutes. I just kinda suck and I always cry myself to sleep hahah
Consciously give it a try. You never may know😉
Speak positive u will see things will change
