Opportunity for another video. There is a newer version of wiiSX which has taken some big leaps. I've played quite a few games now without issues. Latest version is obtainable via homebrew browser.
@@lullylew9083 Hi, how do I upgrade from this installation to the newer one? The file names in the apps folders are different, so I assume they wont overwrite but create different folders.
@@nigelhoward2875 Honestly it has been so long I can't remmber.
I removed the old one while retaining the bios folder, that's for sure.
I backed up the old one though just in case it wouldn't work.

I wish you showed us how to install on the WiiU as well, 'cause it didn't go as you promised. As I launched the Homebrew software on my WiiU, I couldn't find WiiStation as straightforward as you did on your Wii. I just can't instal! What do you suggest me to do?

Just a quick one bud, this worked a treat, but the only thing is, I only have a wii u, I followed all your steps and its out the emu and the isos on the wii side not the wii u side, any ideas on how I can move it over from the Wii to wii u?
If a game like south park rally has more than one bin file, do I add them all, add the whole folder of bin files, or something else?
Uh, for some reason, when I download files from the google drive files, it just ends up being one who file (which icon is the paper icon), and it just loads up some random gibberish. Do you know if it's just my pc?

So i read that this app supports gamecube controllers. Yet, when i try to use my mayflash adapter hooked up to my wii u, it doesnt work at all with the wiistation emulator. Am i missing something??

should multi-disc games have each of the game discs respectively in a folder for each disc or should all bin and cue files be in one folder altogether. For example, the bin and cue files for say a game that is 4 CDs. Thank you for the tutorial, Scott, it was very helpful.

@@leftieluci2292 Should already be on the homebrew channel but you will need to create the saves, isos and bios folders on the root directory of the SDcard manually.

I ask because I'm a huge RPG fan and rarities like Tales of Destiny 2 and a couple Lunar games are more than one disk so I haven't attempted them yet. Is there no Wii U version that finishes this tutorial, or do I have to do it via vWii? Was trying to take advantage of the Wii U's better power.

A. WiiU emulation is in its infancy and there will be a propper one in the future.
B.This is the best were gonna get for both consoles as there might be no demand for them.
You have to run it via vWii but if beforehand you run c2w patcher, it will run with Wii U clockspeed instead of Wii speed so it's faster than Wii. It runs pretty well actually, I'm getting full speed with most games, like Armored Core, Gran Turismo 2, Tomb Raider etc

How you get the classic Wii controller pad to play on the games? It shows it's ready to use in the wiistation set up I load the game and nothing will start the game. Only button works is the home button on the controller. Any suggestions?
possibly if you go into controller configuration you can change settings for it
@@funkyscott47 I believe the problem for both emulators I commented to you about is that my will mote, is not ome. It's a rock candy. I do have the will classic ome controller. But Wii mote is 3rd party. Only thing I know to try left.

im having problems with the emulator, i boot the game but it leeds me to the bios screen where i can only select memory card or cd player. anyone knows how to help me?
Put all .bin files and .cue files for a game with the folder as just the name of the game. Then go to settings, "Select Bios" select SD, if you are using sd, then "Boot Through Bios" slect Yes. And save settings to sd.
How to load a disc game?

This is not a new emulator. The Dev just renamed his fork of WiiSX RX, which was a silly name anyway. And why there is no link to the actual github in the description is a mystery to me.
My bad, it says version 1.0 so I figured it was a big enough change to consider it new :P also I didn't link the Github because the download link I provided came with the bios, so I figured it'd be easier for everyone

I wished they'd change that horrible GUI though. Like a coverflow like on the forwarder might be too much but a list be the least that could be changed. Might make it myself once I'm far enough into coding.

i got my will classic controller to work on some of the games. problem was i had a 3rd party wii mote, why it didnt work. now i got nintendo brand controller and mote. So if guys if the controller isnt working on the games. make sure both your accessories are from nintedo not a 3rd party.
oh okay yeah that makes sense! it's common to have isses with third party remotes on these types of emulators

I was trying to download the tomb raider games but each one has over 50 BIN Files… does anyone know what to do?
Edit: actually only tomb raider 1 and 2 are doing that, 3 and 4 worked fine
Had the same problem man. Make a folder with just the name of the game, no (USA) or anything, then put all of the .bin files and the .cue file in it. You don't have to put single .bin files in a folder I don't think but it looks better anyways.
I put the files in the correct places but when I open HBC I don't see this app? Am I doing something stupid here? I'm on the Wii U.

It's not powerful enough to run PS2 game unfortunately, but it can run GameCube game atleast

Only ps1 games, I changed to avoid confusion :) Wii can't handle ps2 games so ps1 is the only playstation emulator for Wii

I installed it yesterday and same thing! I think i solved it tho! Try loading up wiistation and go to settings>general>select bios (should be set to HLE) switch it to where ever you have the bios stored! (I did SD). Hope this helps!🤙
