Like the way your doing the batans .....hope that glue holds the tung n groove 👍👍👍👍
Fingers crossed!
Takes a real man to wear shorts like that joe 💪🏼💅🏼
Love the leopard print numbers but they are slightly on the short side, I’ve been whistled at before!
Possibly your best video so far. A bit of everything, fun and some great music. Great work
Thank you so much!
If you keep the sawdust in a bag and mix it with glue you will have wood filler the same colour as your boards and the joint would not be so noticeable. See Cruising Crafts kitchen Reno vlog.
I used this when renovating old floorboards
Thank you that's a great idea!
Much to my surprise I like that green hue of the car. Video's opening sequence was pretty cool.
Thank you! The Berlingo was a bargain at £450 with 3/4 tank of diesel, not our usual go to vehicle but it’s so handy for materials
You really managed to transform your narrowboat. That twin-engined one looks fantastic!
haha!
well i am catching up slowly... happy Birthday Danni hope that you had a great time, this narrowboat building id doing well.. keep up the good work love watching your Vlogs...
Thank you!
Love the Bedford van
That was our neighbours, it got exported to Japan believe it or not!
It's frustrating the spray foam has been installed without the initial battens! I've just had mine done and have a set of battens already on the inside of the boat before the spray foam was applied. You're doing a great job though!
Yeah such a shame but part of it unfortunately! Thank you!
Great video and music. Best regards and thank you for sharing. Have a nice weekend. 👍
Thanks so much!
Amazing video production! Kudos to who is responsible 👏👍👌
Thank you!!
Danni, Joe, you guys are working so hard on your boat. It's looking great. Danni. love your painting on the duck hatch doors. Looks like you were having a great time on your rowing boat. Loved the Vlog. Take care.
Thanks so much!
Been looking forward to this next episode, you didn't disappoint, attention to detail with wood work is impressive.
Thank you Paul!
You want to use expanding foam it's brilliant for sticking wood to anything, I use it for holding door frames in when I can't get a fixing
Thanks! We'll be re-foaming the gaps so will definitely help hold them in place
@@DanniandJoe it's brilliant I use it to fixed skirting boards also it acts as a vapour barrier. For timber battens just hold in place over night nice and easy just need sum 5 ft sticks if you get my drift, your doing a great job
Brilliant early drone shots. Very clever. Narrow boat James recommended your channel. Your doing great.
Thank you! James is great
Just a friendly word of advices the paint / design shouldn’t be done after you’ve varnished the wood for the hatches as it will be to shiny a surface for the paint to key too and will wear off quick also if after you’ve finished painting on your design if you decide to varnish over the top of the design it can slightly alter the colour of the paint but reading most of the comments seems like most are saying to move away from the thick plywood boards anyway and get proper insulation and thinner piece of wood to cover I think your guys are doing fantastic and progressing well wishing you all the best and thoroughly enjoying these vlogs
Thank you! The paint seems to have stuck, we're not sure what we'll use permanently in the hatches yet!
Great vlog both 😁 it's really good to see the progress you are making 😎
Thank you!
Great vlog. The boat is coming along nicely
Thank you!
Love that there’s more drone footage coming through 😊
Thanks, it really adds another dimension - the canal is so beautiful from above!
wow that's quite a beautiful and lovely vlog, so wonderful vibes. enjoyed watching guys:)
Thank you!
One thing in the US people forget about have some work coveralls. I know farmers that have some bib overalls like you have and wear shorts and a tee shirt under it. Done with work maybe change the tee shirt and have nice shorts under.
Danni absolutely love them!
Awesome vlog with amazing cinematics ! How you got the drone to follow your car was amazing.
Plus so blooming talented. You make it all look sooooo easy. Brilliant vlog. Can’t wait for the next one. Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much!!
Very nice work!!
...greetings from Spain!!🌴🇪🇸
Thank you!
good vid keep up the good vids
Thank you!
Cereal.........?..........??...........box 👌..how cute 🤙
It’s either early dementia or her dyslexia showing through, bless her! 😂
Looks awesome, can you tell me what the intro song is, catchy tune
Sounds like Nouvelle Vague, a French cover band.
I can't stop singing it, Les Figures - The Devils Sway
Looks like you live in a Castle 🤔 not sure you will be happy in a narrow boat😁. The boat is looking great. I would love to know the name of your dingy? Have a great week
We're staying at Joe's parents house at the minute we're really fortunate! We're open to suggestions to names for the tender, so far we've come up with Row-me-Joe! Thank you!
Sorry I'm awful at names so no help. it great to have family 🥰.
the problem with spray foam, as far as i have seen from other vlogs is always that you end up stripping it of where its not needed, I must admit that was one reason why i chose not to use it on our build ,but a 12 layer foils surrounded type that is attached to the battens instead , then ply over, you only loose 5mm that way either side .check us out on our Chanel for short vlogs at the moment ,but its nice to see you two being as enthusiastic as we are .hope to meet you on the cut one day ,regards Alex and Maria
Thank you! Yes I think we'd consider alternatives on the next build (if there is one!), this boat was already spray foamed when we bought it - it would've been a lot easier if we were able to install battens before they foamed the whole thing! Thanks we'll check your channel out!
Hi Danny Joe ,you sure can see what you have done it’s coming along lovely,so much work to do when you doing it between u, so Joe are you bit of a artist ,Danny what about them screws with a drill bit on the end I have used them found excellent, but jo no of UA-cam is a clever guy now works for Victron in Holland.,I like the idea of how you have fix the battens round the windows ,Joe was was like a kid with a new toy in your paddle boat lol ,,well till next time take care keep safe, John 👀🥂🇬🇧🌹🌈🍺🔧🌺☠️☠️
Hi John, thank you! only thing is we're the other way around (Danni is female & Joe is male!)
@@DanniandJoe oppps wha,t am I like hehe ,well you know what I meant I hope ,take care of yourselfs thank you for putting me right again 😂 ,John I’m Male I think not looked for a long time 🙃,
Discovered you guys today, absolutely amazing job so far!! Joe, do you skate?
Thanks so much! Haha no it’s something I’ve always wanted to learn but never found the time, same as surfing!
Loving your vlogs! The boat is really looking fab :) You have both worked so hard! Do you know if there are any leisure moorings available there? Hoping to sell my house in France, buy another smaller one to renovate here, and a narrow boat to renovate in England. Nothing like a challenge..... x
Thank you so much! By the sounds of it there's quite a waiting list, we've managed to 'borrow' a friend of a friends space for a couple of months whilst he cruises the UK for a bit. Sounds ideal! Where abouts in France are you?
@@DanniandJoe It's tough trying to buy a boat And find a mooring in England with covid! I would love something in the west country if poss. I am in Brittany, just finished renovating a 3 floor house which had no electric, water, bathroom or even a toilet! Still I bought it for 7k so am not complaining :)
Hopefully things start to ease now with the vaccine roll out. If we hear of any spaces will let you know! That sounds lovely, that’ll probably be our next project although we love Italy!
@@DanniandJoe Thank you :) That is really kind of you! House prices here have skyrocketed, so may look at a cave house in Spain or a trulli house in Italy if I can't find something in France. Have a lovely week x
@@jayb3931 Danni would absolutely love a Trulli, some really reasonably priced ones around we a nice bit of. land!
Hi I've a boat in Bristol. Which insulation foam contractors did you use? ☺️
Hey we're not actually sure as the boat was sprayed before we bought it!
Chaulk the holes? Also are you not going to have cabinets put in front of some of that wood that you are preparing? Are you also doing too much and not just doing the basics so that you can get onto your new home? Are you also not in a rush to get completed? Please don’t think I am talking out of context? You are incredibly hard working!!
Was it when Joe said about Caulking? (siliconing the hatches?). No problem at all, we’re sorting the walls out first as they need to be done before we can run the cables and pipes along the walls if that makes sense! We’re not necessarily in a rush as we’re building the boat from our wages so we haven’t actually got the money to complete the project as it stands. Thank you!
@@DanniandJoe absolutely fantastic and understand. I did notice that there was little holes around the window frame, when the water gets through it will rot the wood. Do you need to silicone the windows on the outside??
Hope you don’t mind.
Yes we’re re sealing the windows as we go as well, there’s a lot to do but we’re enjoying the process 😀
@@DanniandJoe Ahh yes, the universal setter of speed limits on progress, income.
I see you've brought a bath for the boat 🤔
We have also bought a bath already believe it or not!
Erm those filler joints…metal boat wooden panels? What happens when it changes in temperature, you might find those joins crack?!? Might be better with a strip to cover the join.
Yes as we said in the video we'll be covering with a strip of wood
@@DanniandJoe Cool, l love the videos. xx
👍👌🇨🇦❤️
Awesome video once again
Danni is hot 🔥 but socks and sandals, on dear lol 😆
She's definitely a catch 😂😂
That’s how Birkenstocks are worn lol and joe is H🥵T too he’s a catch they are lucky to have each other
Music is awful 😞
Believe it or not you're the first & only to mention it, what genre's do you like?
