I would have cried too! What a great job you did for Phil. He's a cutie.God bless you! ❤ The Lord 'Jesus is taking care of Phil ..faithful and true. I know you miss him but just know you did right for Phil. He is safe and cared for.😼👑❤️
This just shows how God cares about ALL the big things and the little things in our life, He is faithful! Thank you for what you did for Phil, blessings to you and Phil. From Teri in Idaho.
This made me tear up. I've pleaded with all my heart, might, mind and strength too for God's help with stray and hurt animals. And I would go to any length to preserve their life too. Pure love is powerful, gives you purpose and you muster up your resolve that you can't look away. They repay you with their love and acceptance and that's all you need to do it again. Thank you. I loved yours and Phil's story.
Good for you. I just lost my 16.5yo tabby that tested positive for fiv when I brought him in as a stray at approx 3yo. I kept him with the other rescues after he was neutered and vaccinated bc he was not aggressive. Everyone loved him bc he was so friendly and loving. Blessings on Phil and on you.
I’m so sorry for your loss! 😢 WOW, that is a long time for a cat to live. How good of you to take your kitty in and the other rescues! Thank you so much for your encouragement. God’s blessings to you, too-and His comfort. ❤
Actually..he probably tested positive because of cat fights..I know a woman who rescued a cat and kept it inside with its baby..the baby tested negative the mother positive..She decided to test it 2 years later and the mother tested NEGATIVE.I don’t trust the tests..It’s wonderful you found a place for him ,tho…With good care he will live long..
Thank you. He’s been doing well at the cat sanctuary! Yes, many outdoor male cats fight and they can get it that way. I’m sure there are false positive tests. I’m just thankful he got a safe loving place! Glad the mother cat tested negative!
It’s not an epidemic. A lot of people are afraid to foster or adopt FIV+ cats. The statistic is that between 2.5% to 5% of cats are FIV+. Most of them are outside and/or feral male, non-neutered cats. It’s not true that cats can get it from a FIV+ cat through casual contact like sharing food and water bowls, litter boxes, or living close to one. They get it through fighting with a deep puncture wound or sex. Many cats diagnosed positive with FIV+ live long, happy, even healthy lives. Some never even show symptoms. Some who are positive can take longer to recover when sick and may be more susceptible to colds/respiratory issues. Some shelters, organizations, foster or adoptive parents won’t take them if they test positive, either due to not having separate facilities for them to keep other cats safe or finances to take them to the vet right away if they do get sick. Thanks for watching! ❤

Why do so many shelter cats have FIV now? It seems to be epidemic.
