To anyone considering buying this product with the use of Kodi in mind, don't bother. It has audio sync issues and you can not get it in sync no matter what you do. I have updated to the latest software. i have tried Kodi 18.6 and Kodi 19 and this made no difference.

you can adjust the sync issues via audio setting in the kodi app, but you hae to do this with everything you watch! it is a minor thing to do, but it solves your issue! The problem is with kodi!

I own the 43 inch Insignia Fire TV Edition (about 8 months old). After a
couple of hours of watching TV shows or surfing the net I always have
to force stop the previously used apps, clear the cache & restart
the TV. If this isn't done the TV shows look like Chinese martial art
movies with dubbed over English. How often do you need to clear the
cache or restart the Cube to make it work correctly?

Just for info, if you don't like the glossy black, they sell skins for about $10

Do you need the hdmi to hdmi cable to connect to a wireless tv? Because I would like to have the fire cube in my desk, like 5ft away and have my TV completely away from wires.

Left nasty comments on the last 5 reviewers for turning off my tv and changing the channel. Hit the sub button to see what else you got.

Excellent info. Thank you. I have a echo studio and how is the fire tv cube going to incorporate with it? Will there be conflict with two alexas? Will i be able to listen to music with the echo witbout turning on the TV?

You can setup the Alexa app where & how music will be played so you can easily send the output to another speaker/s!

You can make a home theater setup in alexa app. Pair different echo devices. Uses the echo speakers and sub or 2 studios with the sub is amazing audio quality I was very impressed with mine. I think they have Dolby atmos so very good speakers

I am using the Firestick and want to change to the cube, will it recognize what I already have downloaded to the stick or do I have to start from scratch?

Hi thanks for vid.. Hows it still working.. I have firestick 2nd gen.. Wanted to get stick 4k.. Now im thinking going all out and just getting cube. Then i should be good for a wile lol... This is alot better and faster then the stick 4k right ?? .. Im always buffering with stick 2nd gen.. But my internet is only 10mb...you think i should just get stick4k since my internet so slow. Or you think cube will make a difference and play better.. ??.. Thanks

Welcome, it's still working great! Well your internet/WiFi might be the issue and not the stick. If you can't improve your internet the fire cube has an ethernet adapter so you can plug a LAN (cat 5/6) cable directly to your router/modem which will definitely help provide a stable connection.

Is this better than cable tv?

    • @chilldadreviews
      @chilldadreviews  3 роки тому

Depends on your viewing habits, I only watch a handful of channels and most shows and movies I stream from services like Netflix or Prime Video. Live TV streaming is alittle cheaper than a cable TV but they have raised the prices a few times plus you need to have the bandwidth.

@@chilldadreviews OK. Good to know. Whatever happened to just going to the tv and turning to all the local networks for free. 😁

I wish you could get rid of the featured section. Honestly I am getting tired of seeing Borat when I turn the Cube on.

Try selecting a specific episode. You can't. Whats the point of just saying, "watch stranger things" . What does that get you. Probably whatever episode the last person left off on. Its pointless. You can't ask for specific episodes.

If you use the remote you don't need to say "Alexa".
