Not enough prisons to put all these kind of offenders in. They should have ankle bracelets and home confinement. Always must have the device that requires you to blow in installed in their car to make sure they are sober before driving. Take away licenses. We have to have other options than prison.
@@smartandcuteoh it isn't prison capacity, it's lack of tough legislation. My state is the harshest one in the US with DUI, trust that jail capacity doesn't stop us from severe penalties. @@JustJesstheMess I would respectfully suggest you do some research. Although some states have experienced recent decreases in prison overcrowding, often as a result of “justice reinvestment” initiatives and reform efforts, overcrowding remains a significant problem in many state correctional systems. They brought a 16 year old to me in juvenile once for his 6th offense DUI. I talked to that boy for 4 hours. Later, after I retired, I found out he had stopped drinking, went back to school and was now a social worker working with troubled teens. It was then, I realized, I had made a difference.
When this lady inevitably causes someone to be seriously injured or worse, the laws of Ohio will be partly to blame for having been so lenient on her in the past.
It's crazy bcuz I'm from Ohio and I know someone who had serious consequences for just 2 DUIs. Had to submit alcohol breathalyzer to even start his vehicle and had the yellow drunk license plates. Which means he can be pulled over anytime.
Back in 1981, my younger brother was planning a bicycle road trip with three of his best friends. One of his friend's mother had a bad feeling about it and pulled him out. My brother injured his knee playing tag football about 3 weeks before the trip and it wasn't healed up enough for him to ride, so it left only 2 of them, Keith and Paul, to go on the trip. On the first full day of the trip, middle of the afternoon, clear weather, a drunk driver hit Paul, who was riding second. The impact partially decapitated him, flung him over Keith in front and he landed approximately 40 feet from the point of impact. When 911 arrived, it took 5 officers to talk Keith into letting go of Paul's body. It wasn't a question of rendering aid--Paul was probably dead before he hit the ground. But transporting Paul's body to the morgue was not possible with Keith still wrapped around it. It destroyed Paul's parents. He was an only child due to his mother's inability to have more children after him. They were involved, supportive parents, not in the unhealthy helicopter way but in the happy, close way where all of Paul's friends felt like his house was a great place to hang out because his parents were cool. Paul's friends made efforts to keep including Paul's parents in their lives and to, in their fumbling way, offer emotional support but after about 3 years, Paul's parents gently told them that the contact just made their loss harder to bear and so would they give them some space--they would let them know when they felt up to seeing them again. That "welcome back" message never came. They sold their house, moved away and were never heard from again (much easier pre-internet). The driver that killed Paul didn't stop but the oncoming car did stop and so did about six other cars who all saw what happened. Someone went to call 911 (this was way before cell phones) and the drunk driver was caught because he came back to see what was going on. Too drunk to realise that his vehicle would be recognised, the dents and blood all over his car would be evidence and every witness there would never forget the horrible thing they had seen. He wad 5 previous DUI convictions. Back then, the laws were very lenient regarding drunk driving and his sentence for leaving the scene of the accident was actually longer than the sentence for killing Paul. His family had bonded him out of jail, paid for his lawyer and were busily enabling him, just like they did after his first 5 DUIs. All told, he was only sentenced to 10.5 years in prison total. It's weird to think that Paul has now been dead for twice as long as his entire lifetime. For all I know, the sumbitch who killed him is still alive, living his best life. I say 1st DUI, lose your driver's license for 5 years and when you get it back, it will be restricted to vehicles with an alcohol test interlock device installed for life. Second DUI, lose it for 10 years. Third DUI, lose your license for life. If you are ever caught at any point after the first DUI driving with a suspended license or driving a vehicle without an interlock device, 10 years in prison, mandatory minimum of 7 years served before eligible for parole plus a lifetime suspension of driving privileges. Second time caught driving with a suspended license or a vehicle without an interlock device, life in prison with a mandatory 25 years served before being eligible for parole. Third time caught driving with a suspended license or a vehicle without an interlock device, life in prison without possibility of parole. Why so severe? People who drive drunk are essentially taking control of a machine with lethal potential and saying "screw you" to anyone and everyone who might be unfortunate enough to be on the roads with them. It should be treated as seriously as attempted premeditated murder after the first DUI.

I am SOO sorry for your loss. I actually cried reading your story. It breaks my heart. Recently a father and his 19 year old son from my town were killed by a drunk piece of shit driver when they went to get him started up in college in Florida. In the middle of the afternoon this bitch ran a red light at 80mph while they were turning left. Hit them and caused the car to immediately catch on fire and roll 3 times. The dad (Shane) died on scene and the son (Jakob) died a few hours later. She had a small red mark on her cheek. This is her 4th DUI. I don't know the family killed...but when I learned of it...I cried for 2 days. A life just getting started...snuffed out by a selfish drunk driver that should have been the one to die. All DUIs need to be treated as felonies from the first offense...and they need linger jail sentences instead of being considered simple traffic violations. A man or woman walking down the street with a loaded shot gun and planning to shoot anyone that got in their way is the SAME THING as a driver getting being the wheel of a vehicle drunk. No mercy for drunk drivers. And I could care less if any died. I don't care what kind of family or children they have. THEY need to be the ones to die...not innocent people. And it angers me more and more how easy these f*****s get away with it. Another woman with multiple DUIs killed 2 people and while doing her FSTs, all she did was laugh at what she was doing. 75 feet from her were the two people she killed. She got 18 months in jail. But people who do crimes not involving murder get 286 years in jail. Something needs to change...but it never will.
If she's not jailed for this and forced into rehab, there's no justice. She's very troubled but this is disgusting behaviour, and a killer in the making.

That's how it works. You are taken in an processed, _then_ you go to court and get sentenced. Holding someone in jail before their trial is not the typical method, they only home them long enough for a arraignment. Like I don't see how the concept of a right to trial is supposed to work when you are likely to spend longer some in jail waiting for your trial then the actual eventual sentence is going to be.
@@justforever96 surely by your 5th DUI the probably of re-offending and the danger posed to the public has to be considered. Not pushing through the system like someone on their first offense.
Same thing is true in Iowa--if a person is sitting in the driver's seat, they are considered to be driving the vehicle and therefore responsible. I've been told by a police officer who was a student of mine that if you pull off at a rest area to take a quick nap, always get into the passenger's seat to do so. That way, if someone calls 911 on you as a possible drunk driver, you aren't considered a driver (plus, the breathalyser will clear you with .000s).
I believe it’s similar in California. I had a friend who drank heavily one night and went to her car in the bar parking lot and passed out in the driver’s seat only to wake up to the police knocking on her window. She had thrown her keys in the back seat but she was arrested for DUI and I think it was appropriate.
Its awesome that this woman feels that our lives, as fellow drivers, are worth so little that her behavior is appropriate. As long as she is able to get hammered, the rest of the world doesn’t matter. What a considerate, caring woman!!

Thank you! I do not understand purposefully spitting on people. What are they, two years old? I've met better behaved 2-year-olds!
I'm shocked that the spitting wasn't considered an assault on an officer. I agree, spitting on people is vile.
Don’t ever go to china if you think spitting on others is vile, which it is.
Sitting in a parking lot, drinking, so she could eventually drive and possibly kill someone. Stupid woman!!!
Spitting should be considered an assault on an officer PERIOD.
I cannot believe that she hasn't done hard jail time. This is the kind of person who really needs that kind of example.
Meanwhile... this is the reason so many are 6ft under. Bc of ppl like HER!
Not enough prisons to put all these kind of offenders in. They should have ankle bracelets and home confinement. Always must have the device that requires you to blow in installed in their car to make sure they are sober before driving. Take away licenses. We have to have other options than prison.
@@smartandcuteI'm
@@smartandcuteoh it isn't prison capacity, it's lack of tough legislation. My state is the harshest one in the US with DUI, trust that jail capacity doesn't stop us from severe penalties. This peach of a woman would have been locked up in prison after the second DUI, bc I'm sure it probably happened while she was still suspended from the first one, which in my state is Aggravated DUI, a felony with mandatory prison time. OH obviously makes it easy for someone to repeat offend w/out consequences and if I lived in OH I would be pressing for harsher legislation
@@JustJesstheMess I would respectfully suggest you do some research. Although some states have experienced recent decreases in prison overcrowding, often as a result of “justice reinvestment” initiatives and reform efforts, overcrowding remains a significant problem in many state correctional systems. HOW is it possible to have FIVE dui’s without having spent time in jail and losing your license????
Take away her privilege to drive for LIFE!
Unfortunately, not having a license/valid tag/insurance doesn’t act as a deterrent. They do it anyway.
Shell still drink and drive. Needs to go to jail.
Drivers license suspension means absolutely nothing to these people. They continue to drive regardless.
I said the same thing to someone else in this comments section that said take her DL away. I guarantee you she would still be driving drunk.
Suspending a license doesn’t mean anything, because when they are caught driving on a suspended license all they get is a slap on the wrist. 🤬
One reason they need to stay in jail or be imprisoned in their house.
She obviously is never going to stop drinking and driving because she hasn't had severe enough consequences!!!
A suspended DL is about as effective as a restraining order is. Means nothing to the bad guys its meant to stop.

What city and state?
@@jeremylowe2309 it was Wisconsin but I can no longer remember the city--it was some small town in southern Wisconsin, not a tourist destination type place.
Dear God, I am so sorry…
Thank you for sharing that. We all need to understand how serious DUI is.
Start holding judges criminally accountable for people that they have let keep their license after 4 DUIs!!!!!!

It is like that in most states in the USA.
In most of the US as well.

Unbelievable!! Her now 5th one and she's still on the road! She definitely needs a few years behind bars and mandatory rehab! It's absolutely appalling that she has been allowed to put innocent lives at risk! 🖤💙
These cops were totally disrespectful and could have attempted try harder to communicate with her. The officers were way too aggressive, angry, and emotionally involved!
What a nasty woman.
She should serious jailtime for 5 DUI🤬🤬🤬
In El Salvador you are put in front of a firing squad if you are caught dui. They never have any repeat offenders.
Now that's what I call a Deterrent ~!!!
No wonder the migrants are coming here from El Salvador.
Why allowed 5 DUI's? Should have license taken after the first!!! Disgusting!!!
Those cops are like a comedy duo. "Go and sit on the bumper" "Don't sit on the bumper". "Come and stand over here" "Stay where you are"
~~~YES~~~
If I was the judge in this case I would first play the entire video in court, sentence her to the max and had her thrown out of my courtroom. She's despicable in every way.
Why do these people always act as if it’s someone else’s fault they’re drunk driving?
She keeps saying “ I want my husband.” I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want her.
Right! Dear God 🤦🏾♀️
How this lady still has a drivers license is beyond me🤦🏻♀️
5th DUI, 5th!!! She should be in PRISON.
Amazing. We can send spacecraft to Mars, but can't design a simple anti- spit hood that stays on.
I don't have an issue if someone is living alone retired and drinking themselves stupid but just don't fucking drive while doing it.
She should have her license permanently revoked. She doesnt belong behind a steering wheel .
