23:50 what the narrator says at the end is extremely important! Yes they were superstitious, primitive and savages, but modern western society have indeed destroyed their identity, independence and culture. I come from Pasto Colombia and the Jivaro Tribe still runs deep in our blood. I look very similar to these people, even tho the conquistadors and spanish people influenced their culture and breed with many if us, our genetics are still very strong! I am very glad this was uploaded snd thank you to the team and people who met and recorded them!❤

      vices versus virtues.
there was some years ago a tv commercial in germany starring colin firth that the awa indios were an endangered "species". quote "if oil workers meet awa people in the forest, they kill them"

my whole family is from ecuador !! wonderful documentary ,. the narrators comments are respectful and thoughtful.... i especially found the feelings shared by the host of the program during the epilogue a refreshing perspective that i and i´m sure many others would agree with and that is sorely lacking in todays approach to differing peoples customs and traditions that i only wished even more people took to heart he ideas presented in the host´s statements lhen speaking of the jivaro´s world and way of life and how it relates and in my opinion reflects parts of our world and way of life..

@@colinchampollion4420 idon´t know they probably could shrink some heads …my dad(rip) was a pilot in ww2 and then worked as an engineer for chevron b4 retiring at 52 and my mom(rip) designed electronic sections of medical instruments( ie;cat scan, mri, etc) for biorad labs beforing retiring no#1 on her teamsters union list… shrinking heads is easy just remove the skull by boiling the head and putting hot rocks in them til the shrink oh ya and they sow it up smaller then show off their trophies… pretty scary stuff… i personaling am catholic and follow jesus but to each their own…!

WOW!, Just remove the skull, and boil in water for 1 hour. Add hot stones for desired affect. Used to make these all the time in Jr High

The video starts out with the cross superimposed with the star of rephaim in the background; a clear warning to be sceptical of everything that follows.

I love this show, but I have always seeking programs and TV shows made by Arthur Jones. On UA-cam, there are some already, but I want more. As somebody said of Arthur Jones's wild animal shows: "His show made other shows look like child's plays." Is there any shows made by Arthur Jones that you have? Like Operation Elephant, which Arthur Jones himself said is a damned good film that would cost the NBC 1 million dollars to make; Younger Women, Faster Airplanes, Bigger Crocodiles. Anything!!!!!

why do I get the feeling this is more of an exploitative re enactment rather than documentation of an actual head shrinking? The head is already shrunken, is it a prop?

  • @Alice-ov3rd

Este filme foi uma encenação e tem pouco a ver com a realidade.
This film was a staging and has little to do with reality.
