How British has Alanna become?? VERY!! because she is just quoting lines from old TV adverts (like how we would say 😉) so naturally, without deliberate intention or thought and I hereby quote Alanna as she is pointing to the toffee apple cider label on the bottle … and saying confidently .. ‘it does what it says on the tin…’. 👏🏻👏🏻. Yessss! Alanna - you have proved your Britishness perfectly, by quoting lines from TV advertisements exactly in the right context, and made a comment which, although unrelated to the actual product that was being advertised, was the perfect response! Well done!
Alanna + Cider + Tastes Test = A&N You Tube classic. Always fun watching you get slightly tipsy in the name of entertainment. Thanks Alanna. Glug glug glug Hic. 🤣
I'm thinking Alanna maybe had one or two before starting the video lol. Not a fan of Morrisons but they have a far better selection of ciders and Perry. Would love to see you on the Old Rosie or Lilley's Bee Sting Perry.
Growing up, my mom always used lemon-scented cleaning products. The outcome being, now whenever I taste anything lemony, it tastes exactly like a cleaning product to me
Alanna's reaction after tasting each cider is so funny 😅😂🍷 But I'm still waiting that she's going to check out one of the Tim Horton's coffee shops in the UK and make a video about that 😜
Another one of *those* videos! Cider comes in so many different hues and flavours nowadays, yet I can remember a time when it seemed that cider was just fizzy alcoholic apple juice. I miss those times, though perhaps they never really went away......
Yesssss! Weird cider flavours! Give me all of them lol A glass, I totally didn't steal from a pub, tells me Old Mout Cider is pronounced moot. Brothers is god tier, Toffee Apple being the best! I'll drink it forever, please and thank you! 😂
Just watching a re-run of Britains weirdest snacks (as I was getting Naps withdrawal symptoms) and then this pops up. Thank you for feeding my addiction🤣
When I mention cider to fellow Americans, they assume I'm talking about non-alcoholic apple cider! I guess cider is available here but it's referred to as hard cider and it's not as common.
You're totally right! Cider has gotten more popular in Canada lately - they've got some great stuff at the LCBO - but yeah, it's usually classed as "hard" cider
Hi Alanna, When you drink staight from the bottle you get the added flavour of rat piss from the bottle - a wee added extra from the warehouse and storage yards. Rats and mice love cider too.😝 Hopefully I'm joking but I'm not so sure. All the best to you and yours. Rab
It's too bad the US is not adventurous with Cider. Angry orchard is the only one that comes to mind. I would've liked to try that kiwi lime one. Fun video Alanna
Once I saw Alanna and cider tasting, I just had to click that play button...we all knew where it was heading after the first sip(s). Will there be a part 2 video where you finish the bottles? 🥴
Alanna, yet again another brilliant video. at least 3 bottles of cider would have been consumed by Alanna. Keep up the great work and keep us laughing.
As an American here like Alanna I've not had alcoholic ciders in the US and I tried a few here & the one I liked best is this Swedish one. It's really great!!
Hi Alanna - always like the taste tests, particularly the alcohol ones that degenerate into Alanna slurring her words and being creative with the scoring system :-)
"...& I'm going to have more...." About this time, Alanna's hangover kicks in. 🤭 Hopefully you've fully recovered Alanna. As always, love the videos, particularly the taste ones. Have a great week.
This was a fun one (more fun really since they are all fun!) So pleased you liked the first two - I drink them both (and other flavours from the two companie too). Given we appear to have similar tastes, it looks like you've saved me from two bad experiences, especially since I've no reason to wash out my mouth with soap! 🙂
I thought I was a lightweight when it came to alcohol but here were are, Alana has a sip from each cider and is totally buzzed. 😂 I rather like this side of you Alanna, a really fun personality! Oh and what is up with the scoring system? Totally unique and a bit pointless but I love it!
Kumquats are small (about an inch diameter), orange citrus fruits. They grow a lot of them in Cyprus, I think and turn them into alcoholic beverages, jams, etc.
kiwi and lime is my all time favorite , a hot summers day in the garden and a cold glass of this is just 🤩 , and your bottle opener is a Leffe one ( Belgian beer , very nice to ) i have the same one 😄
sommerset is a cider county, all the pubs have ciders most have a couple of local ones. my brothers local village pub had two barrels of local ciders on tap as well as two locally botteled ones and a couple of well known ones, they only did two beers and minimal choise in spirits. they sold almost entierly cider 4/5th of sales
The Wurzels: "I am a Cider Drinker, it soothes all me troubles away. Ooh arrh, ooh arrh ay, Ooh arrh, ooh arrh ay." Hey Alanna. You should search for that song on YT, it's kinda written for you. 😂
Hi Alanna,I always remember my uncle saying….there is no such thing as bad beer….some..are just better than others.I rather think that you feel the same way about cider…..one for the road please.cheers,Roly 🇬🇧.
Great video! I hope it does well for you! Also sorry I’m in Dublin on a trip today so I can’t be there for the movie night tonight, but I hope you have a good night!
Grab a bottle of merrydown, and I'll meet you down the park.....oh the memories of a misspent youth. I remember trying some Belgian flavoured beers, I particularly liked the banana flavour.
Rekorderlig ( pronounced recorderly = record breaking ) and Kopperberg ( pronounced Copperbury from the region of the same name in Sweden ) produce some great ciders and really made cider popular again when all we had was rough , middle or sweet made from Somerset Redstreaks and other British cider apple varieties . I still prefer the non filtered non pasteurised etc ciders made from traditional cider apples of England and Normandy , but if your still acquiring the taste and growing up you can't go wrong on a hot day with Kopperberg or Rekorderlig .
Alanna, if only they'd invented that Kumquat & Lemon cider when I was a child. Then, when I was caught swearing by my mom, instead of rinsing out my mouth with soap, I might have asked for this as a stand-in. The chances of getting my wish at eight or nine years of age, however, would be akin to finding salmonberry cider in Prince Rupert. 🙄🇨🇦. Congrats on another highly original, eccentric, and entertaining video.
If you have never been to Somerset where cider is made you need to go. If you have Real Scrumpy it will be served to you in half pint glasses and has bits of apple in. It's also cloudy and like apple sauce with a hint of tartness. My great great great aunt used to live just outside of Taunton in a thatched cottage. We used to visit her quite frequently and one of our visits my father decided to try some scrumpy. It's a good job we didn't have to drive as hewas hammered after just half a pint
Great video Alanna, but you can't kid a kidder 😉 I think it would take more than a few sips of cider to get you up on the table and singing knees up mother brown!! 😂 I'm not a lover of cider but have tried a few different flavours of the Brothers brand and have enjoyed them, but then I do have a sweet tooth which probably why. I know you're not a great lover of chocolate etc, so if ever you need someone taste test such things just give me a shout 😄 🍫
Haven't tried the tropical Kopparberg (shoulda called it Tropparberg eyyyyy) but I'll look out for it - and I don't recall ever seeing Crane's. But overall my reactions when trying these in the past were identical to yours, Kopparberg just great, Old Mout better than I expected, Brothers toffee apple I kinda crave but the reality of it is borderline awful, and the watermelon-citrus Rekorderlig is excellent and reminded me of something I couldn't put my finger on too. I don't get any of them often but they're very very drinkable :D I do miss the original apple Kopparberg though, for me that was the first cider I ever had that tasted like sweets instead of rotting orchard dirt.
Top tip, dropping a shot of toffee vodka into a regular apple cider will give you a much closer flavour to actual toffee apple without ending up crazy sweet.
There's no apple cider in the UK stores, the North American type of apple cider anyway. Even the one they call cloudy apple cider isn't at all what we grew up with. Sadly! I'd never heard of toffee vodka, now that sounds amazing!!
I actually quite like the Brothers Toffee Apple, but their Cloudy Lemon is my favourite from their range. I would stay away from the Marshmallow one though.
Yeaaaaahh.... I love your alcoholic taste tests! That said, I'm not so sure that it's a good idea that you've found another couple that you like so much.😂😂😂 Cheers.

Hiya Alanna, I hope you enjoyed the cider, I'm not a big cider drinker as it gives Me heartburn, keep up the good content, you should try Mothers Ruin (that's Gin to you and Me), this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Not an alcohol drinker and my wife has a phobic aversion to anything apple related, but I once tried Kopperberg pear cider and it was quite nice. I would have it again. Another lovely video.
Wow, I've never heard of someone having a phobia towards apples before, only an allergy. That's really sad, to know of all the wonderful things she's missed out on.
I'm not sure if you would know what a toffee apple is. Do you have them in Canada? Basically you mount apples on sticks to make large lollipops, then put them on buttered greaseproof paper with the sticks facing upwards. You make toffee in a saucepan then while it is still hot and liquid, pour enough on each apple to cover it and form a small pool around the apple on the greased paper, then leave them to set. It was a favourite treat when I was a child, but I don't think people make them anymore.
2 in and... I'm wondering how many days after this Alanna was drunk for from these? Rekordelig is just recorder-lig. At least that's how everyone I know says it. Very popular cider amongst some groups. Generally, never going far wrong with Rekorderlig. Aaand yeah, drunk Alanna. Always entertaining watching you slowly/not-so-slowly getting drunk when you like the alcohols.

I can picture the scene at the cider factory: "Oh no, this batch tastes like soap!"
"Let's just call it kumquat, nobody knows what that tastes like."
😂 oh my god you're right

Check out turners cider from marden in Kent. They do a apple pie flavoured cider.
Alanna day drinking is a joy to behold. So funny and brings out some real passion for the subject. 😂 so many fun facial expressions.
oh goodie! an Alanna gets drunk video - I love these ! 🤣
☺️
They're always good entertainment. 🤣
Wow! Tropical-kiwi-lime-toffee-watermelon-citrus-lemon-kumquat that sounds stomach churning! Thank you for your service.

I Never tire of buzzed Alanna 🤣. I hope you did finish them off too! 👍 😋
No one has said "Oh my" in England since about 1900. Keep it up! Loving your work xx
Alanna and alcohol tasting sessions, always a pleasure, never a chore 😎
That satisfying glug glug sound from the bottles, Yes, and of course Alanna getting hammered is always fun to watch 😜😜🥰
Great video! 7 out of 7 half drunk cider bottles! 🍾👌
🙏🏻
The best taste-tests ... Alanna getting slightly more knackered each step :D
Growing up, my mom always used lemon-scented cleaning products. The outcome being, now whenever I taste anything lemony, it tastes exactly like a cleaning product to me
Same with my mum using lavender air freshener, now I can't eat lavender flavor food - tastes like air freshener 🤣
The highlight of my day, watching Alana getting pissed all on her own. Hilarious.
Now I want a video of when she'd finished all those bottles! 🤣
