There's something about it that simply leads to a confidence with IT that I didn't have before, and gave me the incentive to really put in the hours practicing the effects it makes possible. As a result I've been melting faces with it. Best of all, Spider Pen X is an improvement in every way over the original. Highly recommended - even if you swore to yourself you wouldn't do IT.
@Lagrange Point I’ve found several ideas and effects over the years, although few and far between, that were designed so well that it gave me the confidence to move into a new realm of magic and further inspired me to put in the work to develop the presentations further. I’m glad Spider Pen X did that for you and IT. Masika has released some gems which are in my arsenal and while I use them sparingly and only in the proper environment and situation based on the context of my performance, they always hit hard and achieve the result I desire. Keep blowing minds my friend and remember that the experience you share with your spectator is where the real magic happens.
I’ve used loops for some time and I want to upgrade to a reel, I’m stuck between this, venom and tarantula, which one would you recommend? My preference is only that it should be rather user friendly

I've used thread for years... You gotta be prepared for it to go wrong but it is easy to cover a fail with showmanship. Sometimes you just have the wrong lighting and have to abort. If you are prepared to break string, you can push the illusions to clean exits and make brilliant miracles. Loops are where you start and you can carry one anywhere and do anytime. The Pen let's you do similar things but away from your body which is unique. I still have my spiderpen original I got in 2004. It still works.

I purchased the previous version and to be honest I think this is the reel that any magician should have. Tricks are awesome, hands free and the thread it's pretty strong. I love working with thread and I know it could be hard and scary at the beginning but with a lot of practice and patience you can achieve it. Avoid performing in day light and play with your thread to know its limits. I strongly recommend to try loops by Yigal Mesika if you are interested to work with IT.
@@magicorthodoxy Another quick question, is it still possible to lock the thread? The spools on the former pens have an X on the bottom which allows you to lock in the thread. Is this feature still present in the Spider Pen X?
Curious why no one mentions that it can just be put in your shirt pocket?? Or does it move around to much and it becomes obvious moving around and it has to be hidden somewhat.

I was actually disappointed with the product that was purchased. For the price, very little wax, and the plastic insert on the cap is, what I consider defective, my thread has broken four or five times while just trying to work with it right out of the box.
I just got a spider pen x as my first itr, and learned that I can use effects from the pro on it. However, effects such as levitating a bill from the ground are not taught with the spx. Is there a way to learn the effects from the pro?
Dont buy psi power i bought it worked 2 times and stopped they used 2 cheap pieces of plastic with a cheap made motor glued on a battery that overheats it costs them 5 bucks to make this piece of shit and they sell it for 100 bucks whatever you do dont buy it however Venom is super nice
The AAAA is indeed a quadruple A and in fact, if to disassemble a 9 volt it is apparently just 6 quadruple As bundled together. So you know, if you're in a pinch, there ya go.
Yes, it is actually true. I didn't learn it from a video, it is an actual survival tip i picked up from camping. those A series batteries are all 1.5v. 6 of them in series makes a 9 volt
Double checking wikipedia. It has to be alkaline 9v. If you opened up a zinc carbon 9v they are still 6 batteries hooked up in series but they are a flat stack instead of AAAA perhaps someone can make a gimmick that utilizes those as well. Like a card shaped device.

I might have to get one for a bit of fun with the grandkids, I do have a question, though, I remember seeing a review about a trick where you can pull out an empty box of playing cards from your wallet and it magically becomes a full deck, then after you finished playing with them you put them back inside the box and you can fit it back in your wallet, Does anybody remember what it was called?

Oh my, another spider pen. I have known Yigal and we used to hang out at the Magic Castle. He is nice but he would make fun of me for my micro ITR. I am not for the Pen, after owning several and tarantulas too. The Soul technology he uses is not as reliable for what works for me. Venom is ok, Sorcery Magic ITRs were good too. I even have more faith in Jo Jo's Web Spinner and Super Spinner. It really depends on what you need it for and every magician loves a toy 👍
🤔 I haven't messed around with IT that much other than a flap card. I worked retail for years and having a pen stick out of my collar, breast pocket, behind the ear.. so it wouldn't be a weird thing. Spider pen is going on my list. How loud is it? 👍🤓👍
