A huge goal of mine is to continue to child a healthier relationship with fashions I’ve come a long way from fast fashion hauls but I’m not immune to craving a bit of fast fashion or impulse shopping. Hope whoever needs this video finds it useful ❤
Please stop saying that it is not our fault for buying stuff, that it is the fault of advertisers. Nobody is forcing our hand,we are making a choice and cannot play the blame game. Everyone please accept personal responsibility. You are a great example of restraint and self control. We all can choose to do the same
@@lolaphearse3688 when I say that I mean it’s how our brains are wired, to respond automatically to advertising queues. So it’s not our fault that we react to them, it’s biological, but of course we can build more awareness around this and begin to see through them. I agree we can all choose to build awareness and do better.
I don't have insta or facebook anymore and i got bored of tiktok,im not using it anymore 😄 the only ones i have are pinterest and youtube, and here im not watching the big hauls, zara, hm etc because i find it annoying 😂 people decluttering just to post a massive haul after, its just fake to me. I am watching more minimalistic videos, the ones that are more conscious of the crazy consumption, the ones that show me how to be more happy with what we have (cause before i got influenced 😅) im just tired of loosing my time, money i dont really have, for things i dont really use/wear. Im tired of having to much because it stresses me out. Thanks for all your videos❤ xo
@@yap4808 Pinterest and UA-cam are the best! I could still waste hour of my life scrolling but find it a more laptop e experience. My biggest goal is to be happy with what I’ve got. Doesn’t mean we’ll never want more, but it won’t be tied up with our self worth. I’m tired of losing my time and money too ♥️ xx
Hi Gemma. Thanks for this video ❤ So lovely to hear someone talking about values and sustainability in fashion. I have cut down my clothes buying and have created a capsule wardrobe of clothes I love to wear... getting dressed is SO much easier!! ❤❤
Long, long ago, when my husband and I married, we both set up “pocket money” accounts. Our wages go into our shared account, and we use that for the necessities - mortgage, food, bills, etc. - but we each get monthly a transfer into our pocket money accounts. If I want a new dress, book, whatever, I use my pocket money. He buys golf and camping equipment. There’s no need to check with the other, and that is our budget. I adore clothes and probably have too many, but I’ve never exceeded my budget.
It’s really horrible when you “can’t afford” things. It’s sad. I’m not even talking about buying fashion. I’m talking making so little money you can’t afford an experience in your own city. 😢 now a days I’ve got babies so I have to buy diapers and things of that sort, so I won’t do my nails at a salon to put money on what really matters but damn…. I wish there was a little more to buy experiences at least.
I like your videos. But why do you blur the videos? Is it some camera defect? It feels that the video is out of focus. Not just this. I observed it on many other videos. You are beautiful. Please don’t blur your videos. 🥲
I don’t blur it on purpose 🤪 this lens has a very shallow depth of field so I focus it before I film but if I move at all closer or further away I end up ever so slightly blurred. But I have invested in a new camera so *hopefully* this won’t happen as much going forward. It’s very hard to use a manual focus on yourself when you can’t be in front of and behind the camera at the same time 😂

That’s a great idea to have your own pocket money! It’s a little bit of guilt free spending 😊 xx
