That was the greatest robbery in Olympic boxing history. My friend, Mtendere Makalamba was from Malawi and he lost to Roy Jones, Jr. at the '88 Seoul Olympics. Told me Jones would become one of the greatest fighters ever.
Roy Jones was the perfect combination of athleticism, technique, discipline, intelligence and spiritual power that spilled over into the rest of his life.

@@crazecrook they both out of their prime for sure, I don't think you can say my point is not valid when Mike tyson hasn't had a training camp in 15years and Roy Jones was a some what genuine heavyweight 2 years ago, fighting in Asia. When you look at the tail end of Mikes career the mcbride fight etc, dude could of arguably lost to present day Roy Jones back then, Mike's style also counts on being explosive and having a decent gas tank if it goes past the 3rd, both of which he lost 18 yrs ago, could of been the drugs lacks of focus or some bad training camps but I don't think Mike's got it anymore. Roy Jones Jr is the only boxer I can fully listen to and not get bored. He knows what he's talking about and unlike a lot of other boxers he's a pretty intelligent guy and fun to listen to
I love the advice Roy gave for anyone looking to enter this arena of battle. The God of the Bible 1st, you can't go wrong. I think Roy will beat Mike. I think he's stronger mentally and that will make the difference in the fight. Of course if Mike gets one good shot in early or God forbid a combination of good shots, it's over for Roy. Roy takes Mike into the deeper rounds, it's all Roy.
My absolute 2 favorites, and I know it's an expedition, but if it gets very real in that ring, I am going with Mike for the win. All Mike knows is to come out throwing bombs, and never ever backing away. Unless you make Mike back up.
I'm a fan of boxing for over 30 years, I've never heard anybody explain boxing with such clarity and wisdom as Roy just did. I trully gifted human being in the broadest sense of the word. Down the road in 2020 I'm very proud that "I was first to discovered him" here in argentina and presented him to my boxing fan relatives, when none of them knew who he was. I saw him and within seconds I knew that I was witnessing the first steps of a boxing legend. Thanks for art, champ.

A lot of Respect for him!
"If you don't close your mouth, I'll find a hole & put you in it!" -Matrix RJJ
The true GOAT of boxing, in the memory of man on this earth ever to grace us with his awesomeness. Love ❤️ from England 🏴. Y’all must’ve forgot !!!
I like How Roy told His Story and History of Boxing HE is areal PROFESSIONAL
I'm glad I wasn't one of the people who started slandering the name of Roy soon as they matched him with Tyson. Respect to both
Ya'll must of forgot!
What a man, and not just as a boxer either. His story is just legendary. Even when his chips were down, he powered thru to prove he IS one of the greatest. I’m a forever fan of RJ and his legacy will go on forever
Definitely a big Legendary Fish. Roy is one of the most electrifying boxers of my generation. Inspirational is an understatement.
If Roy Jones jr. isn’t doing motivational speeches already, I hope he does now.
100% agree
Favorite fight Jones vs Griffin 2, because it was sweet vindication and the strongest physically and mentally ive seen Roy.
2nd best is again J. Ruiz for Heavyweight title making history.
Mike is my Idol since as a kid, as he left box i started like Roy and Now my two legendary going to fight, they should never made this match, i will watching but i don't want to anyone lose.
It's a Exhibition not a actual fight it will be like a sparring match but only thing is Iron mike has always said he treats sparring as a fight
@@youngree1712 Do you realize how contradicting your comment sound
If mike loses i Leave earth!!
@@bmwsincekid don't need to, if you watch this interview full, then u know what is up with u
@@Prijal9648 Dont care about what roy Has to say with the biggest Respect!! Iron Mike Tyson Is an Idol He is The Greatest Heavyweight Champ of the world in My Eye! He has been created By The Gods Of War He was Perfect !! Imagine if he had the Mentality like Roy, Ali, Or others . Always enjoyed him as a fighter, so glad to see the champ is still articulate and mentally sharp
I love your speech Roy you said things that I always think about life. God bless you bro. Win or lose I'm with you from Dallas tx.
2 good fighters and 2 good personalities going against eachother.
It's gonna be an exciting fight.
Hes used to be the best to ever do it. I'm sure hes still one of the best even at his age.
Smart man. I remember being a kid amazed at Roy's brash skills.
It’s to bad that all the politicians and citizens of our nation couldn’t love our country like this man. His vocabulary and thoughts are awesome. What a humble and beautiful soul. God bless you Roy.
Could never tire of this guy, what a boxer but what an intelligent mind. All the best Roy J Jr ♥️
Loved the interview! Roy is a class act, had an amazing career and it's cool to hear him talk about it all. Thanks for putting this out there!
This man is such a legend. Mike better be careful this won’t be a walk in the park
HUMBLE LEGENDARY AND OF COURSE LIKE HIS SONG TITLE 'CAN BE TOUCHED'!!!!!
I have been a fan of Boxing for over 30 years and watched enough matches to know the "good" ones. Roy Jones Jr. IS a Legend. Believe it.
Roy Jones Jr is the only boxer I can fully listen to and not get bored. He knows what he's talking about and unlike a lot of other boxers he's a pretty intelligent guy and fun to listen to
If you listen to all the greats talk they seem to have something in common and that’s wisdom.
Jones is everything about sports
This is truly inspirational. Determination, Perseverance , and most importantly faith in God.
Roy is by far my biggest boxing star. He literally got me into watching boxing, his style and class is unmatched.
Excellent video. Gives me a whole new perspective on Roy and his early training.
This is Mike Tyson broe. ...
What time are they gonna start the match
One classy dude!A true legend without a doubt!!!
Love you mannn....God Bless you and God is Good all the time.
Roy Jones Jr is brilliant, super talent. And Cant be touched is my favorite song
