Ruptured a disc in my back last year just started fishing cus it’s low impact exercise and I been watching your vids too find spots .. keep it up I dunno shit and grew up in the desert so this is great
Thank you for the info. You relayed it plainly and clearly easy to understand. You even went the extra bit and showed a quick sample of how to jig the line. My buddy and I are planning a trip to the lake in a bit and it’ll be our first try at crappie. This was very helpful, because in our heads we unconsciously over complicated the whole process. This eased the tension with the knowledge you shared. Thank you, much appreciated. 😃👍🏼🎣
Bro, I really appreciate you sharing these tips. Trying to take my kids out and hopefully hook on some from shore. Keep up the fishing videos, you're very watchable
Anytime bro. I Recommend fishing off of a dock if you go. The area where I was fishing has it been producing. I think the fish moved into deeper water. So socks, or rocks you can fish off of.
Seen your video when you killed the crappie at Lake Isabella, now watching this video on how you did it , two thumbs up, appreciate the information you gave out, I’ll be heading out to Lake Isabella this weekend looking for the crappie !!!
That’s wassup bro. Let me know how u do. I haven’t been in the summer before so I’m not sure where to target them. I would try docks or off some boulders
Great job explaining all of this. Never went fishing but now I'm thinking about it. I was at Lake Isabella a couple of weeks ago. It was smoky, hazy and no one was there due to the wildfires and Covid-19.
Good information, I never fished there before, do the crappies bite better in the cooler months, we live in Vegas and trying to get from the heat this fall.
They bite best in the spring at the spot I was fishing. You can get them year round, but they move out off the bank when it gets really hot. It also gets really windy out there. You can find rocks or docks to fish off right now.
I haven’t been back in the last month or 2 months. It’s just to far for me to go and the bite not be on like it was. I would go if I had I Kayak or float tube.
I don’t think the brand matters. You should have all size jigheads. 1/32oz 1/16oz and 1/8oz. That way you can get them on at all depths. Try to get as many colors as possible. Bright and dark
It’s a 1/32oz swim bait jig head. I got it from Walmart but u can get it from any bait shop. Regular lead heads work, I just prefer the swim bait head. Looks better
Omar E very true. Best thing to do is check the temperature and the wind before you go. I was there yesterday and the win was extremely bad. I would go out there on high win days.
I was just wondering I am in LA also I use to fish crappie years ago, I would like to get back into it just saw a few videos the last few months on UA-cam highlighting Isabella. I haven’t been there in years
Floyd Doby i just started going this year and I’m new to UA-cam. I just noticed I never see anyone from LA or other inner cities when I go out places like Isabella. I’m going to try for crappie throughout the summer too. But if I don’t get crappie I know they still have a lot of catfish
I actually slayed them a few times at Isabella. Using the wind, I used a mini jig under a regular bobber, over rocks/structure. Just the wind action moving the bobber, produced easy limits. Also, check out the Kern River, which feeds Isabella. There's trout fishing campgrounds, etc on the river too.
Thank you for the update!! I haven’t had much luck at Isabella this year. The water level dropped dramatically so one of my favorite spots to fish is basically dry now. Have you been recently?
@@thecsickfisherman no I have not. It seems that everytime I go also, water level is way different. Probably still the dam issues they've never fixed. If you use a boat, fishing straight down in the trees used to work for the crappie and huge bluegill. I'm from L.A. too, but live in Castaic now. When I lived in L.A., a friend and I would go to Lake Perris for the big bluegill. We used to grab crickets from Rainbow and do pretty good in about 20 ft. Of water this time of year. Tight Lines!

Had to give the people a “How too” after that last catch 😂 love how informative and detailed you are👏🏽 I’ve learned some new things already💕

We’ve all had our line go shroom! And our bait go shroom!😂😂
Lol it hurts more when ur bait cost 20$
Thanks for the tips! Much appreciated! 👍
Thanks for this. Disregard my question about the structure in your last vid. You answered my question in this Vid.
You kinda funny lol Very good tips provided, love the realness. I was one of the ppl that thought you had to be there at 3am. Keep the videos coming 😁
ML 06 lol me 2
Yessir glad to have found you channel
Fasho bro

Thank you very much. I can’t wait until things get back to a normal or better. Fishing has been slow bc of everything.
I feel like I'm ready to go catch crappie now. Dope video bro. Super informative.
Happy to hear it. Do you fish there often?
@@thecsickfisherman I've never been there before but have plans to visit very soon. Now that I'm informed, that plan got moved up. Lol. Thanks man!
Thanks for the tip, I hope there are still crappy out there in May at lake Isabella.
Thank you. Very informative. I appreciate you.
You’re welcome. I’m happy you got something out of it.
My boy caught a 3lb 1oz crappie on a blind strike learning my first trip there. Probably about the same time you did this video.
That’s cool bro. I’m looking forward to some slabs
@@thecsickfisherman I’ll be there Father’s Day with my boy and another dad&daughter in another boat.

What brands of plastics do you recommend? And what size jig heads? Im tryna get into crappie fishing ive never been

One of the best crappie fishing tutorial that I’ve seen so far. What is the name of the jig head you were using? Thank you in advance.

I’m in LA as well and was curious what month would be the best month to head out to lake Isabella?
I haven’t been out there much recently. But spring is normally best for me
Great
Info
Great tips bro.
Thanks bro. Hope it helps
Great tips 👌 . Thanks
Nice Video! How deep do you fish with the bobber like 3 to 5 feet?
More like 3- 10ft. But that was last year. The water has dropped dramatically
@@thecsickfisherman ok GTG Thanks!
How do you cast a 1/32oz Jighead? I was having trouble with that today, it was way too light to get anywhere for me.
The best way is to use light gear.
I use a 7’6 ultra light rod, ultra light reel, and 2lb izzer line.
You can also add a weighted bobber
@@thecsickfisherman I'll try that, thanks! & thanks for the video , super helpful.
Try by Wohlford heights. I head ppl have been catching in that area. But that was over a month ago. Are the crappie still biting?
Hem man, that was nice tips, I just arrived now and I’m going to hit the lake in couple hours. Let’s get connected and make plan for fishing together.
What’s up bro? Did you have any luck at Isabella?
Do the crappie still hit at Isabella in the summer or just the springtime
Floyd Doby I’ve hear they do, but honestly I don’t have personal experience catching in the summer. I will definitely try anyway
Went and was skunked lol wish I found you before but gotta try and fail to learn

Can u catch crappie in the summertime?
Yes. You just have to find them. I don’t think they will as easy to catch but u can still get them

Have you been this season yet
Not yet. But maybe next month
Have you been?
@@thecsickfisherman nah planning on it soon

I’ll be in also, that’s good to be with like minded people. Fishing is more fun when you are in group.
sound up bro, full blast can barely hear you
Sorry bout that bro. I have to get a better mic. You know any good ones?
@@thecsickfisherman nope haha, i just use my phone
Mr. GoodBass lol I called myself upgrading to a canon m50. But the mic that came with it suck. Smh
To bad ppl keep more then 25. He’ll they’ll fish a spot out in a day. MF will go back every day.
That’s true and idk why they do that. When you go with multiple people or stay for a few days and only keep them sometimes.
InTheFishermanCut that’s so true. I was up there about two months ago it was so windy.
U cute
Thanks. 😌
Real cute
