I reread the original 5 books in just under a week.. which is insane after not being able to really read for years. It helped me with my slump, I'm sure it could help (or already helped lol) you
I think it will! Its such a genuinely fun and easy series to read. I was worried rereading id discover it wasnt as good as I remembered, but honestly it was absolutely as enjoyable as my memory of an overactive reader that lowkey grew up with Percy. Its a genuine masterpiece through and through in my opinion.
I’m re-reading Percy Jackson and The Herous of Olympus and I’m like “WHY NO ONE TALKS ABOUT PERCY JACKSON ANYMORE???” And the Hunger Games too!!! Like everybody still talks about Harry Potter... it kinda makes me sad so thank you for making this vlog, I loved it 🥰
Because there were the movies who made a bigger fanbase, but after the show will be released there will be a lot more Percy Jackson fandom because it will be know from most people
*pulls series off bookshelf* *looks to big stack of books I'm already reading at the same time* *curls up on bed* "Salutations, Perseus Jackson, it's nice to see you again. It's been what? Like seven years. I've missed you." *strokes spine lovingly* I'm in the middle of my assessments and I'm supposed to be studying this weekend, will I study though? Maybe... Will I ignore all responsibilities and reread the Percy Jackson series. Oh yeah, most definitely. Future be damned.
*sighs* I literally finished rereading the pjo series like a month ago and I want to reread them again I love them so much they are the books that not only got me into reading but also made me feel happier and not alone. 12yearold Percy can just blink and I will start crying without stopping. There is this magic in these books that make you smile, laugh and cry at the same time I can't I love it so much
Please do a Kane Chronicles vlog! The Kane Chronicles is just like brushed off by most people and often people just forget it exists, and it really deserves better.
I’ve read it too and omg it’s amazing. Read it at 10. Have reread it around 10 times. My friend is about to read them (she’s never read Rick’s books before) and she’ll fall down the PJO hole, I’m sure.
Well, Kane Chronicles is awesome, the plot is insane, and all that stuff but I don’t like it as much as his other series. Out of the two Kane siblings, my favourite is Carter and I always felt like the writer was favouring Sadie, so it kinda pissed me off. Just because of that, I can’t reread them. Whenever I try, I read the first chapters with my teeth gritted and finally get tired of seeing Sadie bashing Carter and him doing nothing about it. If Carter could grow a backbone against his sister - btw I’m not saying he doesn’t have a backbone, I’m just saying he doesn’t make use of it sometimes- I think I would definitely like this series as much as PJO or HOO or MCaTGoA.
I think Apollo in the first series is like "Hey, look at me, I'm a god, I'm hot and you know it, I'm Apollo and I'm the best you will see" and then, in the Trials of Apollo he's more... depressed? Like, he feels so bad with him and miserable, and all that thing, and it's so different, but yeah, I love the Apollo of Titan's Curse more than the Trials of Apollo one
Percy Jackson has always been such a huge part of my life. Others may not understand my emotions for this series but yeah PJO is what made my childhood. I will just never forget these books and the characters. They'll stay in my heart. Forever. 💞💙💞
Wonder Chaser I totally think the exact same way!!!! The books don’t get enough praise I’m glad to know they’re ppl like you who love them as much as I do❤️❤️❤️
Your love for Ricks books is what originally made me subscribe because they're some of my favorites. I just reread the series and had all the same reactions. I just love them!! Oh and please do a vlog for the Kane Chronicles and Heroes of Olympus!!
I'm so glad that The Titan's Curse is one of your favs, it's mine too! For some reason the Titan's Curse is a lot of people's least favorite which - tHe diSrESpEcT tO ZoE NiGHtsHadE - but yeah😂
I picked up the percy jackson series in the 4th grade from a scholastics book order as a box set. I am now a senior in high school and Rick riordan is still my favorite author to this day, kids books or not they will never get old for me. Kind of off topic but im hoping rick riordan will make a over arching series that links all the mythologys together as theres been short stories and proof that they exist in the same world (Son of Sobek short stories, magnus being annabeths cousin etc.)
You just described how I got into Percy Jackson I was in 4th grade and got the bock set from the scholastic book fair and now I'm a senior in highschool😂
Loved this! I sooo need to re-read this series! Watching this video made me remember when I first found your channel, and it was your love for Percy Jackson that got me to subscribe!
Once, me and my family were camping I. France (we live in the uk) and me and my sister really wanted to make blue chocolate chip cookies for Percy’s birthday, but we weren’t able to because we didn’t have a camping oven. So this year, I am making up for lost time.
If you had asked me about these books before this video, I couldn't have remembered anything, but hearing your updates made me live the series again and it made me SO HAPPY 💕 I'm totally going to reread them soon
So I have always been obsessed with this series. I love percy jackson. Idk if you know but disney plus is working on a percy jackson TV series with the writer of the books Rick riordan. Should be out by 2022 and they plan to follow the actual books including their ages.
I really have to re read the Percy Jackson series. I read them 2 years ago and now i read Heroes of Olymp and i almost forgot everything about Percy, Luce Thalia etc😨
omg i’m currently rereading them right now! I’m on the titans curse currently. It’s so cool reading them like years after i initially read them, like rereading them at 20 is a strange but amazing experience.
The funny thing is I recently rediscovered this channel because of the PJO content and seeing her closet doors in the background I was like “huh that seems like a Floridian thing” (because I too have those closet door things that are weird to describe) and she then says something about Florida weather being annoying 😂 just a little something I found funny at 12 am
You should read the Underland chronicles by suzanne Collins!! It’s my favorite series tied w/ Percy Jackson! & if u like them then plz do a series review lol
Who's watching 2019 November. Also my mom had the Percy Jackson series laying around, I had no idea what it was. After I read the wings of fire series I was excited. I read a few chapters of the lightning thief and fell in love. I was reading in class while everyone was working instead of sleeping I read and since I had the whole series and told myself I gotta read more. I found out a about heroes of Olympus and more. I love the series, and I jumped when I found out who his dad was. And I was shocked when Luke tried to kill him, Luke I trusted you >:'(. Also when Percy was about to die I told myself there's 4 more books he can't die. Also don't you always have a moment with a book where you read it in a day and just realized what you just did, anyone no just me. "I think we were supposed to run in to your hot sister." - Leo (Ok not completely the same.) Btw "You drool when you sleep." - Annabeth.
I really love the Percy Jackson books and I actually discovered your channel because I was searching for a booktuber who knew PJO and had videos about it 😂😊 Also love the video and I think it's great that it's a long one 💕
I was CACKLING about the image of Grover playing So Yesterday. Also, the movies irked me too, but I couldn’t figure out why until you said the part about the aging! That’s why!
Obviously I feel this video soo much! I started reading the Lightning Thief when I was 9, so 9yrs ago and I had to read them in German as my first language. So I had to wait them come out in German and I reread them just till the next came out. I just love how Riordan made the love story between Annabeth and Percy. *SPOILER ALERT* Starting in the 2nd book when Percy put Annabeth in the fleece, trying to save her. It's so amazing when in the 3rd book Percy's thoughts are like all the time around Annabeth. When he really gets mad at Luke or when he volunteerly holds the sky for Annabeth. They share that little curl which will stay grey. (It's also mentioned when they went through the underground as they fell into that hole in the 2nd season). The 4th book starting Sally and Percy talking about that Date Percy and Annabeth will have after the 1st day of school. Or when Annabeth gets mad all the time Percy talks with Rachel. Or that goddamn kiss. Or that what after this happens on Ogygia. That freakin hug gets me all the time. Or when Percy and Annabeth were in the Athena cabin, Percy noticing the lil owl earrings. The 5th I know we don't have to say ANYTHING about it because we all know and love every scene between these two. I just love love love Rick putting these little hints making them grow bigger and bigger. I love it.
I’m 29 and just starting reading this book series for the first time, thanks to your recommandations ! I already trusted you with Illuminae (which I LOVED !). I purchased the books a few months ago and was really hesitant of reading them but I’m on chapter 4 and I love it already ! It’s middle grade but so entertaining ! Love the writing style of it ! Thank you Ash !
I got Sea of monsters, Titans curse and Battle of the labyrinth from the library again and then bought it. Finished Sea of monsters in three hours and today I reread the Titan's curse (I forgot how much I LOVE that book) took me longer because I didn't wanna finish it! I'll reread the battle of the labyrinth tomorrow. I love this series, Percy is such an AMAZING NARRATOR. I love him so MUCH
I must also reread the books. I started reading them when I was 14. I'm now 24. I think I've read the whole series 3 times but I still love it. And I just bought the whole series on Kindle. I always carry my Kindle with me
Omg the nostalgia!!! I was like 11-12 when these books became hugely popular. I remember my friends reading them in the halls waiting for class to start. I remember talking about these books during lunch as we listened to grungy music from our favorite bands, these were the dayssss! Kids these days will never understand the joys of reading this series.
I started rereading the series for the first time since I was like 12 or 13. I'm turning 19 this year and The Percy Jackson Series really played a major role in my life and my reading. It was the first book series I'd ever read and I fell in love with it from the first page. Funny enough I found out about it from the movies( back when I was younger that movies was still amazing to me) but when I read the books it changed my perspective completely and I appreciated the books so much more for it. To this day it's my favourite book series and I hope that one day it'll get a live action adaption that does the books at least some justice ( maybe a TV series on Netflix or something). Anyway I'm just rambling at this point. Love your channel since I don't see so many people so passionate about the PJ books as you.❤️
I'm 23 and still love these books. Until I stumbled upon this video I thought I was the only adult who still fangirls over these books. I'm very happy I'm not the only one.
Omg I’m rereading the series right now!! I’m on battle of the labyrinth, and I’m annotating and everything... all the percabeth feels😭 the titans curse is definitely my fav👌
The PJO series is the BEST series to reread even if its just a few weeks after you've finished it for the first time. It's so action packed that it's difficult to remember all of it. I forget a lot of the plot until I think about it or like look at a chapter title. *insert laugh here*
i know you’ll never see this. but i’ve been in a really bad place recently, and literally the only reason i was motivated to wake up this morning was to watch this video. thank you for doing what you do :)
I read the series for the first time when I was nearly 17. I’m 25 now, and I still love re reading them. I’m currently re reading the series, and I’m loving it so much! Percy Jackson is the series that got me into reading, so it will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️ Also, when I saw Rick Riordan a few years ago, he revealed that the book was going to be called ‘The Son of the Sea God’ 😂 Another thing is that I can’t hate the movies(at least the first one) since it’s what introduced me to the series in the first place(I struggled with reading as a kid)
omg filipe!!! I havent been on booktube in so long but im so happy to see you're still making videos!!! 2013 booktuber gang!!! i read red, white & royal blue in june too and I can't stop thinking about it, it was so so amazing and SO cute like wOw
I loved this whole video! and i think you should re-read heroes of Olympus that would be so great!!! your channel and how much you love this series is what got me to read Percy Jackson!
I just read the book for the first time last week. And omg I LOVE GROVER SO MUCH! I want him as a BFF so badly. I giggled every time he Belated. He was definitely my favorite character.
This vlog is literally coming at the PERFECT TIME for me because I decided to reread them as well! Just started Mark of Athena and I’m loving every single second of my reread!
Just would like to thank you for reminding me of my childhood. I was a obsessive reader when i was a kid to escape some stuff. haven't really read a lot in a couple of years. but this started back on my obsession on reading again. Have probable spent 300 - 400 dollars on books alone this summer. Cant wait to see what you do next. Thanks
I finally read the series back in March 2020 after hearing the news that the series is being adapted into a show on Disney+. So far, I’ve only read Percy Jackson & The Olympians and Heroes of Olympus. I still want to read the other series. I love the series so much and it’s my second favorite after Harry Potter. I feel like rereading the books after finally getting our Percy cast at the right age. I’m so excited for the show. Based on how accurate the casting was, I know the series will be very accurate and so much better than the trashy movies. I can’t wait until the show comes out.
OMG about more than an year ago I started to read PJO and i wasn't that of a fangirl. I just enjoyed reading it. Me rn: Screaming, giggling, grinning in every page of the Riordanverse
I just finished my reread of Percy Jackson! I listened to the audiobooks this time around and they were so amazing. I just started my reread of the Heroes of Olympus on audio too. I am so impressed by them!
Grover is so underrated his own author forgot about him (forever bitter at the lack of Grover in Heroes of Olympus)
ελλιέ δυσών you'll know why if you read Trials of Apollo
There's also the fact that he's really busy as the new god of the wild
Well no ur the one who is wrong, gmthe outhor already said Grover gonna go around the world and and recruit more half bloods
His tale was told.
Actually he wasn't needed ...he is busy being the Lord of the wild .
Also Riordan wanted to bring out coach hedge and new characters
That one scene: Hail Percy, son of the sea God
The entire rest of the series: Shut up, seaweed brain!
Also, totally down for Heroes of Olympus reading vlog
& trials of apollo while you're at it
and kc
I loved Heroes of Olympus!
I literally just finished my reread of Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus. I forgot how much I love Percy and everything about those series 😭
I know!! They’re make me feel all the things 😭❤️
Same!
I should re-read all the books again, maybe that’ll get me out of my year long reading slump lol
HAHAHA maybe! 😂
That’s what I’ve been doing for the past few weeks, and let me tell you it sure did get me out of my slump and re-discover what I love about reading!
I reread the original 5 books in just under a week.. which is insane after not being able to really read for years. It helped me with my slump, I'm sure it could help (or already helped lol) you
Malia Menig had the exact same experience!!
I think it will! Its such a genuinely fun and easy series to read. Its a genuine masterpiece through and through in my opinion.

And then bianca died because of feminism... Then emo nico emerges 😂 jkkkkkk
Please do a Kane Chronicles vlog! The Kane Chronicles is just like brushed off by most people and often people just forget it exists, and it really deserves better.
Read the Kane Chronicles first and it's my favourite series from Riordan
I read the first book, but I didn’t click with the characters as much as with the other arcs, but I might give it a second chance
I’ve read it too and omg it’s amazing. Read it at 10. Have reread it around 10 times. My friend is about to read them (she’s never read Rick’s books before) and she’ll fall down the PJO hole, I’m sure.

I love this video and I love Percy Jackson. You should read all of Rick Riordan's books and make vlogs for them. That would be awesome.

Great video! I love getting to hear all your thoughts while you re-read one of your favorite series!
Omg I’m rereading the series right now!! I’m on battle of the labyrinth, and I’m annotating and everything... all the percabeth feels😭 the titans curse is definitely my fav👌
Kyley Barnes literally started re-reading The Last Olympian😂 i feel like i’m the only one that ships percy with calypso
Your vlog is making me want to re-read the series because I need to visit my boy Nico.
I read the series for the first time when I was nearly 17. I’m 25 now, and I still love re reading them. I’m currently re reading the series, and I’m loving it so much! Percy Jackson is the series that got me into reading, so it will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️
Also, when I saw Rick Riordan a few years ago, he revealed that the book was going to be called ‘The Son of the Sea God’ 😂
Another thing is that I can’t hate the movies(at least the first one) since it’s what introduced me to the series in the first place(I struggled with reading as a kid)
I love love Percy Jackson so much! I'm hit with such nostalgia. I'm gonna grab my copy and start reading immideately! Thank you so much for this❤️

The ending of Mark of Athena literally gave me chills and goosebumps.
I love this vlog! I just spent my morning watching it and now I'm finally motivated to read the last book in the Heroes of Olympus series 📚
Thanks
Yees!! Heroes of Olympus please. You made me want to re-read these books.
this vlog is everything!! i LOVE the percy jackson series and have been meaning to reread them as well!!
No one:
Litterly no one:
A dash of ash: (say to an innocent person) MOVE BITCH, MOOOVE!
I’m rereading the series right now and I’m starting with the illustrated version of the Lightning Thief. So good.
I love your Hermione 2020 t-shirt! It’s super cute!
I just finished a reread of the series too and I was so emotional all through them. So goood 🤩
This makes me want to reread it and HOO. I absolutely love these books so much and the characters seem like really great friends!😄

I loved this video so much! The Titans Cures is also my book in the series.
